Rowena smiles at the bookish Half-Elf and slides the wands back into the fold in her frock, "ah then I see, I am happy to hear that you are indeed apologetic to Sir Aldon as I was about to bring my maul to bear upon his rather handsome melon based entirely on your ill-conceived choice of words and insinuation. But seeing as both of you have volunteered your kind services to help me search the forge for my betrothed I am willing to overlook any small misunderstanding between us. As for my betrothed, to be honest I am more hoping to locate what remains of him... say his head or perhaps his signature scalp of his as a means to identify him and placate my dear father and establish that my betrothed is as dead as I hope he is. It would certainly simplify my complicated life! Go then Lady Iroona and speak to your men and return to join us when you are able."
Rowena turns and walks to sit down beside Ser Aldon, "my apologies then to you m' lord, I am sure you can understand that I a bit out of sorts. I have... shall we say anger issues to work through, and my family is no help at all. I could certainly use a drink, how is the house wine here?"
Sir Aldon lets out a sigh of relief as Rowena puts her weapons away and sits down. "No offense taken. It sounds like this betrothal has caused no small amount of distress on your part. Unfortunately, all this excitement and mistaken insinuations has prevented me from getting a chance to sample my drink, so I can't inform you of it's quality at the moment.

Sarel looks quizzically at Sir Aldon as he kisses her hand, and then pours him and ale. "What brings you to our fair village? Names Sarel by the way in case the rest of you need anything else. There is some stew on in the kitchen if your hungry."
I totally missed this part earlier in favor of Rowena's entrance and Iroona mistaking Aldon and Flint for a couple. When I said that Aldon was kissing the half-elf woman on the hand, it was for Iroona, not Sarel. I should have read and saw that the bartender was also a half-elven woman.

A stout Dwarf with a strange backpack sits down. Water, please. 2. He smirks at the bickering of the Knight and Fairy Godmother lady. Always make sure you know what you say.
The dwarf has a dead look in his eyes, and wears 2 pendants, one with a Flame, one with a geyser. He looks covered in ash, well, a bit is on him. Fresh.
Rowena smiles Ser Aldon looking bit calmer now, "fair enough shall we sample what this establishment has to offer then? Oh, I would advise you to tread carefully in regard fey maidens, even the half-breeds have, shall we say a certain reputation in these parts as being a bit fickle and capricious but one cannot blame them for their fey nature I guess... just as one cannot blame me for my temper. A result of my upbringing and family history... especially given that my loving yet miserly family refused to pay the ransom for my return from the barbarian tribe that held me when I was a young child!"
Then happens to catch sight of homely looking smirking dwarf and glares at him before turning her full attention back to handsome and dashing Ser Aldon!
OOC > Not bookish, Stunningly Beautiful, and on a second look, interestingly dressed rather bookishly. ;)
The half-elven woman returns, notes the new companion, and shrugs. She pulls another chair over, it turns out to be much heavier than she thought, and she ends up about wrenching her back out, finally ending half on the floor. She hops up, and with two hands walks the chair over, dismissing any offered help. Then she sits.
"Our circle of friends gets bigger!" she smiles widely at the dwarf. "I am Iroona, and these are Sir Aldon, Master Topple, and Lady Rowena. What is your name, Master Dwarf?"
Her hands, forearms, shoulders, ankles, and neck (so, what you can see) are covered in minute tattooed shapes and scribblings, a little darker than her skin. There are some marks on her face, like freckles as much as anything, and they seem to continue under her scalp.

Rowena moves her chair closer to Ser Aldon as she flirts with him, "not that interesting I am afraid but I would very much enjoy sharing a few tales with you over drinks together."AsRowena moves her chair she notes the return of the half-elf, "welcome back Lady Iroona that did not take long?" Looking at her closer now in better light Rowena exclaims, "what lovely tattoos, are they Elvish then?"
Iroona sits, "Oh, these," she looks at her tattoos. "No, Primordial would you believe, though an ancient script, which is saying something, of course. It's a, uh, family inheritance of sorts. Yes, the yeomen are very capable, I just needed to tell them how we were situated and give them the keys." In the background, the six men are managing bags and the like, heading to the rooms, returning and heading outside, and eventually sitting down to a meal of their own.

They see me to where I must go, and then return me. It has been so for, well, ever.” As if that is perfectly normal and fully explained, she moves on. “And you, Master Topple, what brings you here?”

Slate can be felt and heard moments before she can ever be seen. The earth begins to rumble and a voice from outside the tavern booms..
"Touch me again fool and your next breaths shall be taken from inside your darkest cavity"
The tavern door then swings open and through it steps a creature of considerable stature. Behind her a drunken man stands stunned by the woman's words, staring at her blankly. Those looking at her notice her eyes flare with a red glow and she turns sharply casting one last glance over her shoulder at the man who backs away slowly before turning and fleeing down the street. Slate closes the door solidly and then turns and lets out a loud boisterous laugh, her entire demeanor changing. The tremors cease and her eyes go back to their normal golden yellow. At 6'6" and over 200 pounds she is still imposing, even more so when you account for the large warhammer than hangs from a throng at her side, the shield across her back, and the javelins that rest beneath that shield. For those with the predilection to judge a book by it's cover her slate colored skin (marbled with deep black tattoos), bald head holding a two horned bronze crown, and/or the amulet proudly displayed over top of her chainmail that bore the mark of Talos The Lord of Storms might further judge her to be a someone of questionable alignment, further making the smile as she passes the gathered group of adventurers even more disconcerting.
"Good day all" she said kindly, her eyes looking over the gathered group but lingering on Iroona, who she winked at, before continuing on her way to the bar, "Could I get an ale, and whatever information you might have on the Dwarf known as Durgeddin?" she pulled out two gold coin and laid it on the counter for Sarela. "And please, I've traveled a long way from Tethyr to chase down this lead, so, if you do have any knowledge on the subject, make it interesting?" she smiled deeply to assist with her request.
Rowena just shrugs, "I don't know... yeomen... they sound like nannies to me,"and laughs. "My family has plenty of servants at the manor house, poor things, father treats them dreadfully but his soldiers fare better but abuse the privilege so I am lucky he does not consider me to be of sufficient value to see that I have escorts. Though oddly enough he will spend a small fortune on my wardrobe... so go figure that one. So Lady Iroona, why are you here in this gawd-forsaken dungheap with your yeomen? Ser Aldon enjoys mysterious ladies, and tale tales so I am sure between the two of us we can more than make his day!"
Sir Aldon flashes a smile. "While I can't say that the prospect of speaking to Lady Iroona is an unpleasant one, I'm already conversing with you, Lady Rowena. I can't possibly devote my full attention to the two of you at once, now can I?"

Rowena giggles at Ser Aldon's words, "oh don't sell yourself short, a handsome young man with the proper motivation is capable of many amazing things, don't you think so Lady Iroona? We are all becoming fast friends, think of this little gathering like a party, relax and enjoy without undue expectations. The forge I hear is a dangerous place, we should consider inviting others to the party don't you think?"
The Dwarf continues waiting for his water, when someone asks his name. Vonman. When the giant man sits down, he talks again, this time to him. Never heard of him, Good day too.
Iroona begins to answer, "Oh, no, I am not from a noble—" but is distracted from Rowena's conversation by Slate's entrance. She swivels and watches the imposing genasi woman stride by, and blushes at the wink. Then, with a deep breath, she stands up and marches over, only once setting a foot wrong.
Overhearing the question Slate asks of the barkeep, Iroona answers, "Hello, miss. uh... madam? Oh, it's so hard to tell age with elementals. I am afraid that all my research indicates that your friend Durgeddin is perished. Decades ago. I am so sorry for your loss." She looks quite sad for her new friend, in a charming way.
