As you clear the gate free you can continue on down a hallway that begins to open up in to a large cavern. The ceiling soars thirty feet high in the center of this impressive chamber, and the walls are carved with images of dwarves at their forges. Two large stone doors exit to the north and south. Several old skeletons lie scattered near the northern door. A gate of wrought iron stands in the western wall.
In the center of the floor, a natural rift descends sharply. Dozens of stone steps lead down into darkness. You can hear the distant sound of running water and a curious buzzing coming from far below.
And with a small "pop" the sword disappears again. Iroona will let Slate and Aldon lead down the hallway, smart enough to not take the lead against anything not inanimate, and will stay back with Von and his backpack.
"Now this begins to look like a Dwarven forge." Without crossing the room, she looks to the Dwarven skeletons near the northern door. Do they look like they were fighting a rearguard action to defend the northern door, or fighting to get into the northern door? Can she even tell from here?
She will wait for the others to advance before she moves to inspect wherever they go (doors, skeletons, rift, whatever).

Slate just mouthed the word 'wow' as she saw the 30 ft high chamber with carved walls, "Well they spared no expense, gotta love dwarves for that huh" she nudged Iroona a bit. She then headed in a bit more towards the 'natural rift' trying to identify what the buzzing sound might be.
These horrid monsters looks like a cross between a large bat and an oversized mosquito. Its legs end in sharp pincers, and its long, needle-like proboscis slashes the air as it seeks to feed on the blood of living creatures.
With the magic imbued within her sword the lock offers no resistance to Iroona's strike and the lock breaks free.

Slate made a slight "mmmmhmm" noise in appreciation of Iroona's course of action as she watched the tiny but quite capable bust through the lock.
"Couldn't have done it better myself" she then began working on clearing out the debris that has been stuffed in the holes.

As the rolling soundwave of thunder washes over the stirges they all turn to pink mist that slowly settles upon the floor.
