Slate watched this Rowena woman, a lady (or so they claim), take her words of encouragement and turn them into insults, then turn on the gentleman next to her but in the same breath offered her a drink. She shrugged, "Sarela, I'll have that drink she offered" she said to the Barkeep. She wasn't one to be intimidated, after all she was the inheritor of the sky, an acolyte of Talos, and in her own right a capable warrior. She saw in the woman a younger version of herself however, always demanding, always seeing the world through her fury. Maybe she might be able to teach this one how to tame the storm?...
Continues to hold the wand directed at the watery pet moving to keep it in line-of-sight, "the dwarf threatened to drown me with his watery pet... when the monstrous pet is back in its stewpot first then and only then will I lower my wand. If not then I will only act to end the vile sorcerous pet and leave the dwarf unharmed you have my word as a Lady!" Then to the newly arrived town officials in a commanding imperious tone adds, "I am Lady Rowena Rhaine, daughter to Lord Cedric Rhaine and I will go down in blood before I back down to a common unwashed hill dwarf. The pet back in the pot first and lid firmly closed or strike me down but know you risk a blood feud with my House as my father and brothers upon hearing of it will no doubt come to avenge me."
"Two."
When she notes the creature out of view the lid to the pot firmly closed then she will do as she says and back down...
Sir Aldon really hopes that this doesn't come to blows, but he moves his hand toward the rapier on his belt. His eyes move from Rowena to the water creature and back again, finally deciding that he'd rather fight the strange creature than the beautifully fearsome woman. "Please sir, call your creature off. I'd rather not have this come to blows." He says, hoping that the Dwarf will decide to be the bigger man.

Rowena seeing the foul creature retreat and the lid close... does exactly what she said she would do and lowers her wand, putting it away. Turning to the one she heard called Sarel, "how much do I owe you for the Genasi's drink and the broken table? And which direction is the nearest entrance that fool of treasure hunting dolt might likely have taken seeking the forge or other treasure?"
Rowena will pay what she owes and once supplied with a direction, she will turn seeking to immediately leave the tavern, "out of my way Sergeant, I have more important matters to attend to,"she commands...
The Sergeant and his associate visibly relax and then continue in to the tavern and step up to the bar to talk to Sarel who gives the both the 'one moment' hand sign
To Rowena she says "If you're dun rantin and ravin about then the pile o gold ya left me earlier will cover both the table and the drinks. And I said if your beau was looking for the Dwarves, then head north to The Stone Tooth, you can't miss it. I would recommend you collect the rest of your new friends before heading that way" and she'll pause before adding "if you plan to come back alive"
As Rowena walks out, Sir Aldon just turns back to the Sergeant and Sarel. "I apologize for what's happened today. It seems that the Lady has a lot to work out with her betrothed."He finishes up his drink and goes to follow her out. "Well, I did promise to help her find her betrothed at the forge and a gentleman never goes back on his word."

OOC > That was Iroona's little pile of gold, fwiw. But she's okay paying for the table and the drinks.
Iroona sighs. She seems to have had enough of Rowena. "That woman is... difficult. I wonder if she and her beau are well... matched. Should we after her?"
Outside the tavern, Rowena pauses and looks about to get her bearings while waiting for Ser Aldon to exit.
When he does so, she asks, "what kept you... did you delay in order to apologize for my rude behavior sir knight?" She gives him a playful laugh finding it amusing, "my dear sweet mother used to have one of my father's most trusted lieutenants follow me about. You know... to protect my honor and perform the arduous task of making apologies for me. Such a pity how that ended for the poor man, I do hope the same thing does not happen to you."
Rowena looks up at the sky and takes a breath silently debating with herself to set out now or wait till morning before at last speaking, "I admit you are most pleasing to the eye... I find that I am starting to like you Ser Aldon and for me that is rare. In any event, you are indeed a man of honor. I respect and admire that so if you like, I release you from your pledge to assist me given that you had no idea what you were getting yourself into with someone whose own father jokingly refers to as the Princess Shrew," she laughs and smiles at him, "what do you think of my title Ser Aldon, is it well earned?"
Sir Aldon smiles back at Rowena. "I would never refer to a lady by such a title, so I can't say that you've earned it. But since I was already planning on heading to the Forge, it only seems fair that I assist you in your endeavor."

Oh, so you have business at the forge then, I am indeed curious to hear what takes you there? How fortunate for me. Where is your squire by the way?"
Well, this was odd. All these people were odd. The woman Rowena was a mess. Sir Aldon was a fool! And the dwarf, he was probably the sanest of the bunch. And then the clutz of a woman. So odd, but they would be PERFECT!
Coming to, Flint gets up from his seat and proceeds to wipe off the shards and splinters off of his robes. "A temper that one has. But yes, we should definitely see how this turns out. Come on, friend," He says with a large smile and his hand outstretched to Iroona.
