"So, it's just a trap?" Iroona says, affronted, but also impressed. And she exits the room back into the cave. "Should we disable it, or just let it close?"

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. Here's my D&D stuff. I love it so.
Iroona says, "It looks like this... tunnel? It looks like it goes under the southern part. Maybe some...thing, couldn't get in the door, and went under it? I'm more inclined to go down there now."

Slate patted the rest of the fire out, her skin feeling tender from having been burnt. She looked to the rest of the group, who had done nothing to assist her, and sneered a bit but then caught a bit of draft as she realized her clothing had been burnt to tatters. She was exposed in many areas and now faced the dilemma of whether to own it, or make an attempt at modesty.
"It's much colder in here without clothes" she said with a smile to Iroona before she began digging around in her pack for an extra set.
"I could warm... um..." Iroona blushes as she waves her hands like she was going to cast a spell, then lets them drop suddenly and turns to give Slate some little privacy. After a moment, she straightens her shoulders and clears her throat. "Let's go down the hole. I think whomever got here before us has probably been through the door."
The stairway twists and turns a long way downward. The floor has been cut into hundreds of shallow steps, but the walls and ceiling are still natural rock. About sixty feet down, a rushing stream spills from a narrow crack to the south and crosses the stairway, disappearing into a narrow, winding tunnel to the north. The rill is only two or three feet wide.
Fixing her straps as she comes down the stairs behinds the others Slate see's the rift and smirks, "Well isn't this just elemental, fire above, water below."
As you continue down the stairs, the descending fissure opens up abruptly into a very high cavern, its ceiling easily forty feet or more overhead. The stairway continues to wind down along a ledge that follows the north wall of the chamber. A fast-moving stream about five feet wide runs across the floor of the chamber from the north and disappears under a low stone overhang to the south, and larger passageways exit to the southeast and the northeast.
Unless someone is generating some sort of light - only Iroona and Vonman can see in the darkness - Sir Aldon and Slate will have to rely on feeling their way around.
OOC: I have intended to have Slate have light up on an object since the beginning, if we could assume going forward that she keeps it up unless otherwise noted that would be good :)
fwiw, the rock Iroona threw down here might be lying around somewhere. The Light spell lasts an hour, right? Or it could have been swept away by one of the streams.
Von smirks. Very. He looks down at the water, then frowns. I can’t have Palaemon in there. He’ll die. He closes the pack, with Pal in it, and looks around. Where to?

Yes it appears the room just houses the flame trap.

Iroona growls under her breath. Besides the crevasse with the giant mosquitoes, what were the other exits to the cavern?

Does the door to the south have large faces on it? Dead bodies in front of it? I sign that says, "Don't look at me!"

Haven’t used this account in forever. Still a big fan of crawling claws.
Nope the southern door just looks like a regular stone door with handles and a keyhole.

Iroona, very well aware of her clumsiness, hugs the north wall as she descends the stairway to the floor of this new cavern.
