[There was no lock on the southern door and we decided to steer clear of that. We didn't check this one. So I guess perception?]
Perception: 22
There was a lock on this door, but it looks to have been smashed open and rented by something heavy. The iron ringed handle appears the be in tact and will likely still turn freely.
Edit: The door doesn't appear to be trapped. Looks safe enough to you!
Thought Talien entered the room already? (Just saying, if there is a trap Talien already walked into it.)
(I just imagine Talien taking damage from the chest and not checking for traps, then he checks for traps and takes damage. I think he needs to learn that opening SH!T is not is specialty.

I thought he just checked for traps. But, he can open it now.
A circular shaft pierces the floor of this forty-foot-diameter domed chamber. Dim violet light shines out of it revealing sickly white and gray vines that coat the walls and reach out over the lip and crawl around the rest of the stonework in the room like tendrils. The light is supplemented by four lit wall torches set equidistant around the periphery of the chamber. A crudely fashioned stone throne sits against the curve of the northwestern wall. A large iron chest serves as the throne’s footstool. A strange sapling appears to be growing in a wide stone pot to the right of the throne.
Seated with his feet up on the chest sits a rust colored menacing looking goblinoid creature. He is wearing split mail armor and fiddling with the end of a wicked looking long sword that is resting against a shield at the side of his throne opposite the sapling. Three more of the large reddish colored goblinoids lounge on stone benches and chairs around the throne as a smaller female goblin stands before the “chief” waving her hands in the air.
”We should attack the kobolds while they’re week Durnn! Never mind what the OutKast says!”
Talien's eyes turn red and he says Meepoguard the door in this room to the south, Lets split the party and surround them. He will pull out his 2 handed sword very slowly as he begins to walk to the group of goblins and tell just loudly enough to be heard, Surrender or die. we will not ask again. Intimidation - 12
How far is the door to the throne? Depending on range of target is what spell from uses but he will fire something for sure surprise attack means advantage on attack I believe:)
21 if no surprise use what ever the first roll was of this :) once I know distance I will post spell
Alten will take the shortest line to the edge of the pit and glance down. Can I tell how far down it is or what's down there?
Need a DM's ruling on Command. It says the spell won't work if the command is "directly harmful". I've had DMs rule it both ways in this kind of situation. I want to put myself on the far side of the pit from the chief and tell him to Approach if it is a good long drop (the idea being that getting the leader/chief out of the fight disrupts and demoralizes the fighters). Do I know or can I make a check to try and figure out how my god of Torm would interpret this clause as it relates to his divine powers?

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Watching Talien, Rees' eyes go wide. "And he was worried about me being a danger to myself or the group?"She'll try to sneak in and get in a position to be able to sneak attack the one with the longsword.

The hobgoblin seated on the throne looks lazily up at you. He raises an eyebrow and says, "Well what do we have hear? Finally something interesting perhaps." The other hobgoblins all look over at Talien with interest. The goblin stops speaking and turns around with her mouth agape, "What the?" she seems to mutter.

Arxius is almost touching the handle before Rees calls to wait. "Shh-" she hisses, but steps back to let her friend check.
