Statistically for the PCs Talien (+5 athletics) is the best. Alten and Arxis at +3. Grom at +1. Rees and Trick at 0. I assume Corky is a +something and Meepo is probably a negative.
Depending on how strong Corkie is, it may or may not make sense to switch her and Ariux, but I think we need to keep the best (Talien) with the worst (Meepo probably).
Grom opens his spell book and starts reading... chuckles to himself and then steps up on the ledge of the well "Does everyone trust me...." he will hold his hand out towards rees and talien
Talien now focused on the mission at hand fully, his eyes still red, will move over from the edge over to the group and will speak quietly but firmly as he takes Grom's hand. Make a decision, we have tasks to complete, 5 minutes her and there can add up to a day over time. Let's get a move on.

If you're going do what I think you're getting ready to do, why don't you save it until someone actually falls? Don't burn it unless you have to.
"why you gotta spoil the fun lol"
"but there is some merit to Alten's thought here this might drag out awhile and things could get hairy" "talien nvm i will show you this trick another time" Grom will start to climb down the rope Talien is holding
"are we sure this is the only way down to the grove area? cause is the only way down is climbing down on rope, this is going to make this basically a 1 way trip..." "yes i know before i was all for staying here and not leaving and having to back track but how are we doing on supplies and such." Because once we go down this hole, its going to be a process to get us all back out..."
We may find way out from the lower level that we just don't know about. May not. As far as supplies goes, I'm down to a couple of days worth of rations.
Meepo. Do the kobolds have a ladder long enough to go down there?
Sorry I missed this post... the kobold's don't have any sort of ladder.. they haven't even been to this part of the citadel yet (it's goblin territory).
So, I have Group 1: Grom, Arxius, Meepo, Talien and Group 2: Alten, Corkie, Rees, Trick. When ready everyone please make 3 Athletics checks and I'll narrate the descent.

Talien wordlessly ties the rope around himself and Alten. He moves over to the edge and makes sure his gear is secure and begins to descend on the vines. As he descends he yells to Meepo. You will survive Meepo. Be strong. Follow my lead.

Talien hastily beings his decent down the dark vine infested shaft. He makes it down 15...20...30 feet... then pauses and looks up grinning he boasts "This is easy, I am strong" as he does he suddenly losses his footing, then his grip on the vines, and begins to plummet into the darkness below. Grom who is just 20 ft behind him looks down at Talien in time to hear his boast and then see him drop away from the wall. Grom curses silently and casts feather fall on Talien, but in the process loses focus on his own handholds and accidentally lets go of the vines joining Talien in the descent....
Luckily Grom gets the spell off quick enough and finds himself suddenly falling at a much smaller rate.. almost drifting down to the bottom of the shaft as if he were a feather...
As Talien and Grom float to the bottom they land on a soft bed of earth and find the area is dimly lit by luminescent fungus, shedding violet light, clinging to the walls and ceiling of a wide cavern. The air is damp, chilly, and redolent with the odors of loam and decay. A layer of earth, mixed with rotting vegetation and the remains of cave animals, covers the floor. Several varieties of mushrooms and fungi grow on the detritus, as well as a few saplings. Looking up reveals that the shaft was actually a hole in the cavern ceiling and you're not quite sure how the party is going to get back up.
Meanwhile back up top....
Arxius and Meepo who are only a few feet down watch helplessly as Talien and Grom fall quickly into darkness...
The pair shout up to the party and let them know that their comrades have fallen, but Grom may have gotten a spell off in time to save them. The only sure way to find out is to continue the climb downwards. There is no use in rushing it and falling to join the others, so Arxius and Meepo continue slowly and carefully making it to the bottom to find a 20' drop to a cavern floor.
@Arxius make an acrobatics check please. Meepo: 5.
Talien will laugh in wonder at his slowed decent. Grom did you do this? You should have started with this. His voice loud and as full of wonder as you have ever heard. Anger forgotten his eyes are blue again
