Meepo watches as you perform an acrobatic feat and shouts, “My turn!” he let’s go and immediately plummets downwards without grace, but you see this all coming and position yourself to catch the wily kobold. As you catch him in your arms he looks up and smiles a big “Thank you!”
Back up top Alten, Corkie, Trick, and Rees begin their descent down the shaft (in that order).
All of you make it down the first 50ft with no issue. At 60ft down however, Rees arms suddenly begin to burn. By 70ft the pain becomes distracting, and by 75ft Rees has to pause. Wanting the descent to be over Rees looks down to try to get a better look. This proves to be a fatal error however as a sudden wave of panic overtakes you. In an attempt to steady herself Rees clutches to her symbol of the traveler. But, removing a hand from the vine also proves to be a grave mistake and Rees suddenly falls from away from the wall of the shaft. She plummets 10ft and slams into Alten and Corkie causing them to lose their grip and join her in the fall...
Down at this bottom you can all here screaming as the trio falls towards the cavern...
if i see them falling and have time grom would burn another spell for another feather fall....
this will clearly hurt me for the rest of this day... but its needed to save the group im willing to do it. grom isnt a heartless ass... plus he isnt going to let rees die
Grom looks up in time to hear shouting and casts feather fall once more. Alten, Corkie, and Rees suddenly stop falling rapidly and begin to descend slowly. Rees drifts into Arxius outstretched arms with a smile. Trick finishes the climb by himself and let’s go at the last minute to join the others in their soft landing.
You are now all safely on the cavern floor in area 42 known as the Central Garden. You look around in wonderment at the glowing phosphorescent vegetation (described in more detail above). When the pleasure of feather fall fades you notice that you are not alone in the vast space...
Four robed skeletons tend a fungus garden, using shovels and a rusted wheelbarrow to turn the soil and spread compost at the south end of the cavern leading towards area 44 (where the trees are on the map). After getting a better look you can see that what looked like trees from further away are actually two mature needle blights rooted in the garden.
As soon as the last of your party settles on the cavern floor the needle blights open fire on you.
Talien as you were the first one down, we’ll say you’re closest to the needle blights. You take 3 piercing damage from the needle like projectiles. The volley from the second blight flies over the parties heads as you are in various stages of picking yourselves up.
The needles strike the juggernaut again causing another 6 piercing damage. The second volley hits Alten this time as he is recovery from the climb causing 8 piercing damage.

Edit: OOps, Talien also takes 6 bludgeoning damage from the skeleton’s hoe.
Edit 2: As a reminder you’re spread out around the circle in area 42 of the grove level map. The needle blights are represented by the southern trees.. three skeletons are next to them and the forth is on top of Talien.
Talien will attempt to maintain the focus of the enemies even though he is 'bleeding' from the multiple injuries, his eyes turning back red with anger after the glee of the fall. He will pull out his sword to engage any melee ranged enemies (if multiple he will use bonus action)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Rees will pull out her bow and fire an arrow at the needleblight closest to Talien, hoping to keep it from spraying anyone with needles again.
Attack: 6 Damage: 8
(Assuming sneak attack since it's engaged with Talien, but if not drop that second damage die. And also Rees' AC is 14 now because of the studded leather armor they picked up :)

The arrow makes a dull thud as it strikes the needle blight's dense bark exterior. The arrow reverberates up and down now stuck deep in the creature's chest.

Everyone please roll initiative (feel free to add some verbal RP flavor regarding the descent)...
