Ora steels herself and then, eyes still shut, she aims towards the loudest noise (the big attacking Slasher) mumbles under her breath and a streak of golden light flashes towards it. (Casting guiding bolt at 1st level, to attack: 15, damage: 17)
All four of Slasher’s strikes miss the target, but Oruk’s attack is true, smashing the small bug in front of him. Ora’s gleaming ray of magic flies past the same bug Slasher missed. The bug facing Gerlan is (4) charred to a crisp by the lightning coursing through its body. Anastasia grimly stares her bug in the eye before shooting three more rays at it. As the third ray connects, the monstrosity collapses to the ground, letting a final roar loose before dying. Gig moves to strike the last brute (autopiloting):
Attack: 22 Damage: 15
Attack: 12 Damage: 15
One of the swings cuts into the beast’s shoulder, and the other misses entirely.
The last bug releases the mistake it has made and dives back under the ground, leaving a sizeable hole that looks ready to collapse behind it.
(Sorry for disappearing folks, let’s get back to it!)
Anastasia's down 30HP, but she didn't cast any leveled spells, so she doesn't need to take a short rest. She'll be fine if someone casts a few healing spells on her. And because she has Gift of the Ever-Living Ones, any cure spell cast on her is treated as if it had rolled the maximum value on the dice.

(Hey guys, still trying to catch up from last week. Posting will be irregular, but I do plan on resuming sooner than later)
Oruk: You get the following answers from your spell:
1. These bugs are native to this land. The larger bugs (you now know them to be Umber Hulks) are apex predators in this region, and commonly hunt in packs with subjugated groups of the smaller bugs (Ankhegs).
2. This land is not currently under the influence of any other planes within a three mile radius.
3. There are no buildings within a three mile radius.
Anastasia: What are you looking for with the nature check?
Slasher: Though once quite tough, the hides of these monstrosities have been cracked, slashed, and otherwise destroyed. Whatever armor or coverings you could still make from them would have to be quite small. Even then, you don’t have the means to do so right now, and would likely need to bring the corpses back with you to the encampment.
