Iibbrr: This man seems to be some sort of bouncer.
Jadrith: You do see quite a few well dressed people, but none of them seem to have heterochromia.
Eriadwyn: The woman nods. “That I can get for you. That will be one gold piece, getting you lodging, food, and drink for the night.” Once you pay the woman, she shows you upstairs to the room you’ve rented. You notice as you walk that each room has a piece of silver thread ingrained in the threshold of the doorway. When you arrive, the woman mutters a few words before turning back to you. “You’re all set. Please, do refrain from wandering into other rooms. Dinner will be served in the common room.”
"Gratitude," Eriadwyn nods to the woman and takes a quick look around the room. She waits for the inn keep to leave, then examines the thread in the threshold of the doorway of her own room trying to determine their purpose.
You’ve heard of a ritual that uses silver wiring and is capable of creating a warning if creatures enter places they don’t belong. You gather that this muttering you saw the inn keeer preform was likely a way to synchronize you to this room.
Geex will watch as Eriadwyn heads out of the main part of the tavern. Not sure where she is going or if she has a lead on this item, Geex will begin to follow her. When she stops at the doorway, Geex will approach her. "Whatz you looking at? Iz our guy in here?"
Eriadwyn holds a finger to her lips, then whispers her response, "Just doing a little reconnaissance my friend," she points out the silver of the door ways, "an alarm against people entering rooms they're not meant to enter. Best alert the others." She wanders back down to the main hall and continues to sip on a drink and make idle conversation while she waits and watches for the target.
Geex will remain in the hall area after Eriadwyn leaves. Geex reaches into his bag and removes some incense lighting it. The hall fills with the smell of lavender. Hoomans love lavender.... After lighting the incense, Geex will dig in his bag again and pull out a small book with a drawn unicorn head on it. He holds it up before knocking on the doors. "Excuze mez!" Geex will call out. "Have you heardz the good wordz of Our Lady of the Forest, Mielikki? Shez done real good thingz!"
Ember: The woman re-emerges from the back, where she disappeared with Eriadwyn. As she approaches, she calls out. “Now, what can I get for you?”
Eriadwyn: You come back out from the lodging area, finding a table and sitting down. While your gaze certainly is sharp, you still can’t seem to find the man that you’ve been tasked with robbing.
Geex: You hear from the other side of the door, which remains closed, an irratated call. “I’m not interested in whatever God you’re trying to sell, priest! Now go away before I come and remove you myself!”
Ember: She gets you the ale, charging you 1 sp for the both. When you mention the two colored eyes, her face goes slightly pale. “Yes, we are currently housing such a man. I pray, if you have business with him, do be careful. He has proven to be very... surly in my dealings with him.”
Geex: The door flies open, banging against the hinges. “I thought I told you to go away, scamp. Last warning.” The elven man that emerges from the doorway stares at you with two toned eyes, one blue, one gray. A dark blue stone orbits around his head lazily, and a beautifully crafted sword rests in a scabbard by his side. On his middle finger, you see a jet black obsidian ring.
Geex will look offended at the threat. "How rude," Geex will mutter, taking note of the elven man's appearance and which room he is currently in. Geex pockets his book and stamps out the incense with his foot. "Mielliki bless youz, sir!" Geex takes off down the hallway back to the main room looking for Eriadwyn. Geex probably looks a bit erratic. I'm sure the others will take note of this goblin running around the bar looking for someone. "I- uh iz found ourz two colored eye hooman. Wellz not hooman. Elf. He haz sword and rock floating around hiz head and alzo a ring. A black one."
Brini respond to the waitress"Seems he in bad mood again." The Gnome look in gold his money pouch "Srr i don't have a silver coin atm", He then put 1 gold piece on the table.
Hearing the news from the goblin. "Goodjob, did you see anybody accompany the elf?"
Brini trying to telepathicly hatch a plan with the others into overcoming the elf and getting the ring "Seems we have a few hurdles ahead of us. First is the silver wiring that seem to alert people, if it magical sombody could maybe disable it with [magic]Dispel magic[/magic]. Another way it trying to lure him out the room. if neither possible we could try to breach in from the window with the birdman, if he can carry somebody with him it would be ideal. Second is trying to not make a commotion when trying to apprehend him if we could [magic]silence[/magic] the room it would increase or chance on gettin away with it, another way is forcing him to make him unable to make a noise be it either through magical or physical means. If anybody has any other alternative or concern feel free to speak your mind"
Brini ask telepaticly to Eriadwyn"Can you see if the alarm are magical?"
He ask Greex"Can you go back to Mentis room and relay to the Librr where the elf room is relatif to Mentis room incase he wanna escape trought the window or if we break in trough there"
Eriadwyn sips her wine while communicating telepathically, "Seeing as the innkeep spoke words to arm it. I'm certain it is a magical alarm. I don't have the ability to dispel magic once cast, but I also don't know the full nature of the spell. Does it allow the attuned individual to invite others into their room for example? If he wasn't interested in whatever Geex had to offer, maybe a more ...comely presence would be welcome." She muses, finishing her glass.
Telepathically: "Just out of curiosity, do we have to take the ring right now? We do have to get it before he is gone for good but we could just stake the place out, make sure all the exits are covered, follow him, and then we will have free range to make a ruckus once out of the city limits. Just and idea to keep in mind, but if you want to get crazy right here I'm not opposed to that either." and you will hear Gadrith laughing in his mind."
Iibbrr nods to the bouncer. "I see, thanks for the info." He would then turn to leave, stop, and approach the man again. "By chance, if I'm not taking too much of your time, have you seen any other odd looking characters pass by here in the last week or so?"
Telepathically, he will speak to the group. "Well, that complicates things. I don't think we want to risk approaching him then. Not right now at least. I was just told from a man outside that he saw a person with two colored eyes, but that was a woman."
