I bet you've seen the multiple Always Recruiting PvP threads littered about the forums. Coliseums, Arenas, and Beast Fighting has become a thing. Now, I want to do that too, honestly. So, im making sure people are interested, because mine would be different.
What im asking is, would people be interested in a PvP arena thread (Always Recruiting) played by you, but not playing as PC races with class levels, but a monster with Class Levels? It'd work like this:
Choose a monster of a (undecided) CR or lower. Add a class to it, retain all those features. Multi Attack and Extra Attack don't stack, and monsters without the hands necessary cant do certain things, Ex. a wolf cant cast Magic Missile or wield a Greataxe.
Anyone? Noone? AM I stupid for thinking this would be fun?
It depends greatly if it's round-based and how you plan on using short/long rests and what the level ranges will be. For example, given short rests, but no long rests then monks with Stunning Strike are unbeatable while casters are unplayable.
You also need to have a very solid plan on what to do with players who show up for five days and then disappear, because from my experience that's what kills the flow for everyone.
So the main point is not really _what_ you do, but rather _how_ you do it. You might want to run a single round for everyone who signs up within 24h or something and see how that goes, learn from it and see if it's something you'd want to do long term.
Well, it's an Always Recruiting PvP campaign, so if someone drops, it's fine. Just don't drop during a match. Characters will always start a match as if they had a Long Rest just before. Players will start at level 1, and for every win they level up, get gold, and a prize. For every loss, they get reduced gold. For every 2 losses, they get gold a level up. For every 3, they get all others and a prize.
It'd give me something to do, and have fun, as it's fun to watch players kill eachother. ;)
Side v Side, unless said otherwise. Wins are either A)Knocking out/Incapacitating/Killing the entire other team or B)Beating the win condition, such as catching all flags or destroying the other teams castle, etc. .
Hello there! How are you?

Also, what's in it for you? :)

Is it side vs side or battle royale? I mean what do you count as a win or loss?

Anything Else?
Nope, all good, I'd love to play :)
