Taken aback by Zane's taunt, the halfling's eyes go wide as Gruun is suddenly towering over him. The bugbear picks the small man up and easily tosses him over the side of the pier with a splash. One of the humans fills in the gap, keeping a good distance from Gruun while attempting to find an opening to cut through. The halfling emerges, sputtering in the water, and throws two daggers up at Gruun on the dock, dealing 2.5 piercing damage before swimming further away.
Killian joins with the half-elf and another human in combat. The two work together well, weaving their scimitars and daggers in tandem, yet the well-trained paladin finds a narrow opening while taking 5 piercing damage herself.
Hox goes to ground, charging at the back of the group. The last human spots his run, meeting him a few feet away with another dazzling display of swordplay. Killian wears down her half-elf opponent, forcing him a few steps backwards and drawing blood from his forearm, but finds the numbers game working against her, and takes 12, 4, 13, and 6 slashing and piercing damage from the coordinated efforts of her human and half-elf assailants, stubbornly forcing the pain of the swords and daggers smashing against her armor to the back of her mind.
Gruun has his human opponent backpedaling with long, sweeping cuts from his greataxe, keeping him well out of range. However, the bugbear fails to notice the halfling, upset at the bugbear for his sudden swim, has climbed back onto the dock and release two daggers that plunge one after the other into his leg, dealing 3.5 and 4.5 piercing damage.
"Ha! Coward!" the remaining human shouts after Hox as he flies away toward the shadows of the rooftops. She turns her attention to Zane, who is verbally assaulting Gruun's opponent. The tabaxi takes 7 and 5 piercing damage from the incoming daggers.

Killian grimaces as her opponents get through her defenses, not once, but four times! Surprised by the fire that has scorched his chest, the half-elf crouches and grimaces from the pain. "I see now. We were fools to take you ligh--" his words are cut short by Killian's blade meeting his arm, shining with divine energy, and searing through his torso, cutting him nearly in half. The rest of his words are choked as he falls to the dock, dead. There is little time for Killian to process the success, as her other assailant presses the attack from the side. Up goes her shield to turn the dagger away, then her sword parries the scimitar, but the human is quicker to pull his blade back, grazing the paladin's hand and dealing 5 slashing damage.
Gruun overpowers the human he is fighting, pinning his dagger arm to his side with one arm, and grabbing beneath the armpit of his other arm, he wrenches the man sideways toward the human that is still attacking Killian. Moving through the air like a ragdoll, his leg meets his allies back, still pinned by the powerful bugbear. His dagger arm struggling at his side, he manages to cut at Gruun's side with his scimitar, dealing 3.5 and 2.5 slashing damage. "Let him go, you oaf! Fight someone your own size," the halfling shouts as he joins the attack, trying to free his companion with the same trained dual-weapon strikes, dealing 4.5 slashing damage and 2.5 piercing damage.
The remaining human flicks her dagger into the air, catching it again by its hilt. "One dagger left. I think I'll save it for a direct approach," she says, charging at Zane, who finds himself quickly overwhelmed. His bardic words seem to fail him for a moment, his targets unflinching, and he takes 6 and 8 slashing damage, and 6 piercing damage. Outmaneuvered in melee combat by the quick fighter, her dagger comes very close to finding its mark.
Round 4 Order: Players <===== Bandit Captains
Placement: One human is engaged in melee combat with Killian. The halfling and another human are engaged in melee combat with Gruun. The last human is engaged in melee combat with Zane. Hox is hidden among the rafters of a nearby building, 15 feet in the air and 40 feet away.
Tracking: The halfling, the human fighting Gruun, and the human fighting Killian have taken light damage. Killian and Zane are getting worn down by their opponents. Gruun and Hox have taken light damage.
Zane has had enough of this, he casts Invisibility on himself and backs away from the fight towards the edge of the dock, but once he's clear he will very quickly and as quietly as possible dart behind a crate or corner some 40ish feet away if possible, using his Feline Agility to achieve this.
OOC > Killian took damage, so here's a Con Save vs DC 10: 6
Killian looks up at her remaining assailant from under sweaty bangs, a grin on her face, slightly insane look in her eyes. Bleeding, standing over the mess of the half-elf, she takes the fight to him. She will refrain from any fancy moves, trying to get the measure of his skill.
Action: She attacks the human with her sword, swinging at him twice:
Gruun still holding onto the human (Maintaining grapple: 27) and seeing the halfling reappear after being 'dealt' with, focuses on him with his current 'weapon'
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
OOC: As long as he's not trying to escape the grapple, Gruun doesn't have to roll to maintain it. I also forgot to add his rage damage to his improvised attack, that dealt 8 damage.
Hox's roll is normal, since advantage and disadvantage can't stack in the same turn (still a hit using the first roll, and sneak attack still applies because Zane is within 5 feet of the target).

Looking over, she sees Gruun continuing to ragdoll her companion, this time knocking him into the halfling at his side as he flails and shouts, "Help me! Get this guy off of me!" The bugbear's reach keeps him moving free of the daggers, but he takes 4, 2, 3, and 4 slashing damage as the woman joins the human and halfling in teaming up on the barbarian, the pain finally beginning to register.
