Hox tilts his head, "Yes and no. Hox take thing, then hooded man throw knives at Hox. But no one follow Hox, Hox made sure." Hox then picks up the large gem, marveling at it's luster. He glances to the smaller ones as he looks to Killian, "Hox not know. Hox saw shiney, wanted it. But...maybe trade small shinies for know of Sal female." Hox says he clutches the big gem protectively.
"If they are going to hunt him, he will be found sooner or later. However, you cannot hunt without leaving a trail. If we keep our eyes and ears out we can pick up the hunters trail long before they could hope to catch our little friend." As Gruun talks his nose can be see twitching slightly
Zane is thoughtful, "Interesting. So Sal is a prisoner that escaped and we are looking for her. Hox is a goblin who escaped and some people are looking for him. Might we create a rumor that we are willing to trade certain information about Hox for similar information about Sal?"
"Or possibly more in general we could ask around what one could do to profit from having found something or someone."
Zane looks around the room and then it becomes clear.
"Gruun - you or me? And Hox and Killian, would you have any suggestions on how to do such an approach? Do thieves, no offence Hox, have some kind of a code for these things?"
"Yes, Hox and those like Hox have ways to tell others. Hox was told about it, Hox knows signs, but not good at talk of. Big words hard for Hox." Hox nods.
(He knows thieves' cant but talking it is a very roundabout way so he can't do it well.)
OOC: What is the group's decision on what to do next? Seek Roccar to find more information about his escaped prisoner, sell the gems, spend the gems, or something else entirely?
Zane says, "Sounds good. Should we leave Hox here for safety or are you going to go and bring Roccar to us? Myself and Gruun could stay downstairs and keep our ears open about Sal or anything else."
"There is strength in numbers. Wherever we go, we should stay together. I cannot track in a city and do not want to become lost searching for one another.
I agree we should find Roccar, we need more information."
You return to the area of Luskan where you first appeared from the portal in Sundabar. Though you remember that the building resembled a warehouse, and stood out among the small dock buildings surrounding it, it seems the building has somehow moved; either that or it no longer exists. After ten minutes trying to sort it out, a voice whispers to you from the shadows of a small building to the side.
"Over here," Roccar says, motioning you into the ruins of a small hovel.
Killian is not impressed by this turn of events. She did a lot of skulking as an urchin youth, and does not care to go back to that. Still, she will enter, first, in case there is danger.

"The warehouse is still here, it's just hidden now. Can't take a chance on anybody stumbling across it," Roccar explains. "Why are you here? I can't imagine you've tracked Sal down already. Hox's shinies have caused trouble, haven't they?"

Zane listens intently for a bit and upon not hearing anyone breaking down the door to capture them he relaxes a bit.
Zane says, "So they SAW you, but you got away. Which means we need to keep hiding you or disguise you."
Killian frowns. "We could use him as bait. I just wouldn't know how to attract this Sal person, and not all of Luskan, too."

Killian speaks up, "If we don't know where this Sal is, or what she wants, how can we proceed? We should find Roccar."

"Hox can be hidden. Find ones like Hox or find one that knows of Sal person. Hox knows signs." He says as he pockets the big gem.
Zane nods, "It is agreed then. Let all of us go and find Roccar."

Zane takes a quick look around and then ducks into the ruins. "What happened here? Wasn't there a large warehouse? Are you OK?"
Gruun doesn't say anything but clearly struggles to fit his large bulk into the small space without pushing himself into others.
Hox walks on in, not needing to duck in, "Hox found shiny!" He tells Roccar
"The warehouse is still here, it's just hidden now. Can't take a chance on anybody stumbling across it," Roccar explains. "Why are you here? I can't imagine you've tracked Sal down already. Hox's shinies have caused trouble, haven't they?"

Zane sighs, "Yeah, Hox did Hox things. One of those shinies might be something very important though, but we don't have a way to make sure just yet."
"About Sal - why did you think the tavern you sent us to was the best place to start looking? Was there someone specific you meant us to speak to?"
"We didn't get anywhere with that. Can you point us to the direction of the place she broke out of so we might pick up her trail from there?"
"Why was Sal in jail? If we know what she's done in her past, we could set bait that would attract her attention."
