Zane drops the hut and rushes to stay near Gruun and Hox, motioning Killian to join them.
"Lets stay together"
He also casts Locate Object on the object they are seeking (OOC: I as a player don't recall anymore) and if it points somewhere then shouts, pointing, "It's that way!"
OOC: You are looking for an item that Ritska called "The Box", and ten magical staffs that were stolen from Roccar. Having never actually seen either of the items, Zane would only be able to use locate object to find the nearest object of a particular kind. I will leave that up to you to determine which kind.
The door is sagging on its hinges by the time you get to it. Within is a ladder that leads below deck, which is currently brightly lit by radiant lights that have sprung up all about the ship. You are greeted with the shouts of battle, and hisses of the undead within.
At one end of the area are two wooden doors, currently open to a storage room and a bunk room of sorts. Three of Bohmar's warriors are throwing vials of holy water at two vampires within, ducking the creatures' desperate swings. One fades to a mist, but with nowhere to go but to the sunlight, it is quickly tracked down by two more of these holy warriors.
Zane's divination points him in the opposite direction: Past a series of oars and a vicious battle between Bohmar (and a half dozen of his warriors) and four vampires, an iron gate lies closed. A small storage area is behind it, triangularly shaped due to its location by the prow. Rusty spears, swords and shields line one wall. Beautiful staffs line the other, and lying there in front of them is a small, wooden box - plain and devoid of any distinguishing marks, but looking nothing like the crates and barrels that the ship houses everywhere else.
"Hox! The gate!" Killian shouts. "Zane, trust not your eyes, see if there is illusion! I find rusty weapons locked up with treasure suspicious. Gruun, let's clear a way!"
With that, she casts Magic Weapon on her longsword and charges into the battle, intent on clearing a path for Hox and Zane.

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. Here's my D&D stuff. I love it so.
Zane casts Mage Hand and goes and pokes at the rusty weapons and the other stuff around the box. Then also the box. Not going through every single thing, but like a poke here and a poke there.
If the Locate Object still points to the box then he will then drop the Locate Object and cast Detect Magic. If everything seems clear (as in only the box seems magical) then he'll carefully see if it's trapped some way and if it can be opened. No point getting this far only to run away without verifying the contents of this. If it seems like it can be opened, he will back off and try to do so with the mage hand.
Seeing their goal in sight Gruun cares less about fighting and more about getting back above deck. He picks up Hox, holding him like a football he charges toward the gate trampling or shoving anything or anyone in the way.
Athletics: 22 (I'm sure this will be needed somewhere)
The vampires are occupied as it is, but with Killian's prowess entering the fray, they can't afford to do much more than glance the others' way. On their heels being assaulted by divine magic, Killian's sword is the final straw for two of the vampires; an older-looking pale man with short black hair, wearing sailor's clothes beneath a long cloak, and a younger woman who looks similar enough to pass as his daughter. "Who are these people? How did this happen! It's like they were expecting us!" she practically screams at him over the clamor. He manages to fend off one of Bohmar's warriors, and places a hand on her shoulder. "Leave us, Sal. You have much left to do," he says. Before she can object, she disappears from view. Growling in rage, he outstretches his hands and looses bolts of fire at the sides of the ship, punching holes through its hull and catching parts of the wall ablaze. The cost of this energy is to meet the wrath of Killian's sword, and though the damage to the ship is done, the paladin's sword cleaves through his neck. He turns to a cloud of mist, soon dispelled by the radiant energy of Bohmar's crew.
Zane Perception: 17
Gruun plows forward with Hox and Zane in tow. A spectral hand appears in the area, poking here and there at the objects within. When it reaches the box, however, it is rebuffed a small distance away, poking instead at some unseen barrier around it. The staffs soon light up like a beacon in the night to Zane's senses, radiating a clear magical aura. Strangely, the box does not detect as magical. Seeing no sign of traps on the object, his mage hand lifts the lid. There is nothing inside.
Before Zane can approach the box, he discovers that the iron gate leading to the items is locked.
Water is pouring into the ship through the busted hull. "We'd best be finishin' the job and gettin' out o' here soon, eh?" Bohmar says to Killian with a wink.
The loud knock of Zane's spell is barely heard over the sound of rushing water. "The Box" looks thin, like it could be made from parchment. Yet, when the water pools around it, it doesn't seem to affect the box in the slightest. The bottom of the box still feels dry and sturdy when Zane picks it up.
The ship is fast sinking. Water has already reached the top of your ankles. The remaining vampires are no match for the combination of holy magic and running water. "Run, get outta here, ye gits!" Bohmar shouts at his crew as they finish off the last of them.

Killian will follow Zane. If any of the crew get in her way, she will cut them down with her sword.

Zane would try to imagine what the Staff of the Magi would look like and go for that.
Gruun will stick with Zane keeping his Greataxe ready. He'll take point and follow Zane's directions
Zane quickly casts a spell of divination, joined by Gruun and Killian, who rather easily cuts down a sailor getting back to his feet in front of her.
For Zane:
Your spell locates a staff similar to the one in your mind's eye. It is below the deck and on the other end of the ship.
From what you can see, there is only one entrance to the lower deck of the ship, which Bohmar and his crew have just plowed through.

(OOC: if I understand correctly then the staffs are not in the box, but instead leaning against the wall on the side?)
Zane points at the staffs and says, "I think we are after these. Gruun, Hox, can you take them please? I'll grab the box and follow you."
He will cast Dispel Magic on the box just to make sure and then grab it and follow Gruun and Hox out of the hold back to the deck of the ship.
(OOC: if there is a need to roll for the dispel magic or something similar in this situation then I'd like to spend inspiration on that roll)
OOC: Correct, the staffs are along the wall.
