Amani stands shakily, healed but leaning on Saber, “With all due respect, we’re gonna head out on our own. It’s not that we don’t trust you, it’s just that-“ She looks to Saber, then back to you, “No, actually, that’s exactly it. We appreciate the help though, and you can definitely count on us to take down those werewolves. Hopefully, next time we can meet under better circumstances.” Assuming that you allow them, Saber will pick up Amani and leap clear of the area.
Meanwhile, is the plan to return to the base?

Sarai turns to Caster. "It may be best if some of us return in the vehicle, but others arrive a little more unexpectedly. I am not convinced of Mary's goodwill. Can you bring myself and Oz with you somewhere near the Tower? Then Imani and Dream can follow."

And so, with the excitement of the evening drawing to a narrowly peaceful close, the group deems it best to return to the base. Dave, David as he’s formally known, remains diligently at the temple, prepared for his new life as a sentient being, forever watching humanity. The drive back is quiet. The weight of what almost occurred weighs heavy on your minds. However, even more concerning, is the fact that new variables continue to appear. You arrive to the city, Archer appears. You find supplies, werewolves appear, and on, and on, and on. Each has caught the group on the back foot, a reaction to every issue. There is still much the group doesn’t know...
Nevertheless, the Cargoyle brakes to a halt at the front door of the Tower. Though only an hour has past, the exhaustion is palpable. Thankfully, the Tower itself is unharmed, but it feels... violated, psychologically speaking. Mary was able to see through the illusion through some means. Once again, information is clouded in secrecy. How can one win a war that they know nothing about? With that in mind, unless others wish to do something, you all may have a long rest at your leisure.

"Okay, team. We need a strategy. Our contingency plans need contingency plans. If we continue how we've been going, we are likely to die, and I like living." Oscar looks at the two servants. "First thing's first. We need a full briefing on Servant abilities and how to overcome them. That Saber was able to resist your midlevel attack, Caster, and then put Assassin to bed with ease. We were completely outmatched, and, let's be honest, we mortals would have been a liability if Saber even glanced at us. Further, I currently know of nothing that we mortals can do to damage Saber... It was a mistake to save that girl." His speech done, Oz sits and sulks, the picture of a broody teen.
Sarai will enter the tower cautiously, first, pistol in hand, checking it out. Assuming it is okay, she will set her stuff down, holster the gun, and turn to the group, listening to Oz.
"I feel like we have been playing someone else's game this entire time. We need to go on the offensive. And we need to move the Tower."
"Was 'Mary' a Servant? She was not, was she?" this is directed at our Servants.
"Then she is someone like me, or she is a Master. Either way, she is a danger."
"I think we do need to handle this werewolf situation. We need more information. Oz, can you hack the base's security system, look for footage of the attackers? Caster, do you retain any sort of communication link with Dave? Is that a feature of... awakening things? It would be useful to have a network of watchers."

Imani rolls her eyes as the others try to figure out her tower.
She calls out to its genius locus. "Oy! Tower! Anybody home?"
Imani feels the leylines beneath her thrum with energy. The faint hum resonants very, very faintly within the tower, a minuscule fraction of what Uptown was. In the foyer of the structure, Imani sees the genius loci of her tower. A small, blonde lab with a little Arabian cloak hat on its head. It looks no older than several months old. It wags it’s ghostly tail happily.
"YOU," Imani says, "ARE ADORABLE. Who's a good fortress? Are you my good fortress?" She stops herself with her hands frozen on her knees. "Aw, damn it. Those weren't my questions- don't genie me." She walks up to the spirit and kneels a short distance from it (friendly, respectful, eye-level). "We may have made an enemy or two tonight. Would you tell me your name, and whether you have a price for questions? I need to know whether you were tampered with while I was away."
The dog tilts its head and scratches behind its ear. It then meets your gaze and... immediately sneezes. However, with a newfound, steely resolve it... rolls on its belly and kicks its legs. Such insightful answers mean... well nothing at all to Imani. It is then, as you feel Virgil land on your shoulder, that the realization hits you. From what you have semi-learned, semi-charaded with Virgil, your genus loci draws from the leylines and the very history of a locale. Your fortress has no history, and is only marginally connected to the leylines it draws power from. In essence, compared to a rich local like Uptown, your fortress is less than a child, it’s an animal, a pet. Nevertheless, judging by the personality of the... tower, it would seem that it is... untampered with? Yes, definitely so. 99%, at worst.
Imani sighs, then scratches the spectral pooch's tummy.
"Well, I have one more idea. I don't think I can close the fortress if someone is inside it. Caster, will your spell mines get messed up if I try for a shrink?"
