The group of you exit the clearing and work your way around towards the ship wreck to the south.
Abner's scouting doesn't reveal any hostiles waiting in the grass, and you all press forward towards the coast. It would appear that the giant crabs do not inhabit this part of the island. Zagrot and Therne lead the way as they step onto white sands and approach the edge of the water. The shipwreck lies roughly 50 ft. from the beach and is surrounded by choppy waves - spelling an ill fate for anybody not accustomed to swimming.
The vessel itself has taken serious damage over the years. The upturned stern of the ship juts out of the water, as does the top of the main mast. Captain Flindbar's flag still flies atop it, inexplicably bearing what appears to be the face of an angry, snarling creature. Abner recognises the shape of the outline as the face of the angry ettin that was stamped onto the side of the discarded waterskin he found previously.
Using their excellent eyesight, Therne and Yaro scan the wreckage and find that most of the easy to carry items seem to have been removed from the ship - however there may be some plunder on the nearby seabed.
(OOC: "Plunder on the nearby seabed"? Can you explain further? Do you mean some accessible cargo near the shore, away from the ship? P.S. Great to have you back! Hope you're doing better!)

[OoC]: Thank you. I was alluding to the fact that the ship is broken apart and that some cargo may have been scattered around the wreck beneath the surface.

"Hmm..." Yaro ponders "looks like the wreck has been picked over, but we should still probably get a closer look. I can scour the seabed for any clues, we tortles can hold our breath for quite some time if someone else wants to look around the rest of the ship."
Yaro begins swimming out to the wrecked ship to search the seabed.

Athletics: 14 Perception: 12 Investigation: 7
[OoC]: The choppiness of the water requires a DC 11 Athletics check to swim. As per the rules, you move at half speed when swimming, so it will take Yaro 2 rounds of full movement to reach the wreck (50 ft. away). The visibility underwater is clear to 30 ft. and lightly obscured to 60 ft (meaning that you will have disadvantage on Perception checks without darkvision). The seabed is 50 ft. deep at this point. I'll wait for the others to post before I move on, but anybody else should use these same rules if they want to explore the wreck.

Abner's smile fades a bit as he looks worriedly at the ocean conditions. Not as simple as he'd imagined.
"Yaro, if you're a good swimmer, I've got a fifty-foot length of rope in my pack. Maybe you could tie one end onto the boat? That'd give us something to guide us all out there, maybe."
(Does the water look any safer navigable by boat?)
Let us add my rope to Master Abner's - then there will be plenty to get across and down with some safety margin. If some of us stay ashore and guard this end, we could provide some safety backup. Along with keeping your heavier gear from weighing y'all down.
[ooc I think Yaro should be covered by Bardic Inspiration for a while longer, if he has not used it. Red can expend one more if someone needs an assist]

*I will go -- I definitely want to look for magic on that ship, though, so I will have to drop this form once I get over there.* Therne will take the end of a rope with her.
[OoC]: What's the plan? Zagrot, Red, Abner and Brozak are staying on the beach to guard one end of Abner's and Yaro's rope whilst Therne and Yaro swim towards the wreck?

OOC: Yup, and I think both Yaro and Therne are looking out to see about recovering anything interesting-looking they see along the way. Therne is still a tiger for the moment, so she has a 'swim' speed of 20, so she has decent enough con if she needs to hold her breath.
Zagrot lays his pack in the ground, and leans his shield and crowbar against it. He then pulls his sheet of paper out of his pocket, pops a chunk of camphor wood in his mouth, and sits cross-legged next to his gear, poring over the writing on the paper.
Tiger-Therne begins paddling out into the water using her strong feline paws to move through the surf. Yaro gently paddles along behind her as they make their way towards the shipwreck with one end of the jury-rigged safety line.
As they reach the wreck, Yaro is able to begin tying a knot to the top of the main mast which protrudes from the waves. As Therne takes a breath and dives down, she sees that the ship has been impaled on a jagged rock and is held near the surface by the angle of entry. Moving into the murky blackness, she uses the feline eyes of her form to scan the seabed. Meanwhile Yaro floats down, gently descending, and notices the faded paint on the hull beneath the waterline - "Port Hand".
The most that Therne can see on the seabed is a rusty grappling hook jammed into a section of coral, a sack from which three bolts of linen poke out, and a broken wooden chest surrounded by seaweed. As Yaro descends, he notices a silver glint reflected by a stray sun ray in the direction of the chest.
Therne:
As Yaro is trying to make out the source of the silver glint, Therne spots a shadow moving around one of the holes in the ship's hull some 50 ft. away. She only sees a sliver of the blue-gray body - roughly 6 ft. long - before it flits back into the shadows. As her tiger eyes widen in surprise, she notices another two of the sharks swim around the back of the wreck and begin a wide radius around her and Yaro's position.
[OoC]: Therne can add the reef shark to her list of forms.
[OoC]: Anybody who wishes to use the line to make their way towards the wreck, no Athletics check is needed.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Therne will use her telepathy to warn Yaro to keep an eye out for sharks. *Please warn the others before they come across, too. I can't shout telepathically.* If the chest is broken in such a way that she can see its contents, or 'open' it with a paw once she's passed along her rope, without it disturbing the sediment/attracting the attention of the sharks too much, she will do so.
Rolls for the chest if needed (not sure which one you'd want):
Stealth: 13(note: the tiger stat block calls it a +6 to stealth, but it shows up on Wildshape as +4, so I used that)
Zagrot falls in step beside his friend. "I like your idea. I think Therne maybe do not."
He leans in to whisper to the dragonborn: "Maybe you and I go get crabs when she no see."

Abner watches carefully, and is prepared to try to rescue anyone who falls into distress while swimming.
