Mandaway didn't really see the point of attacking the two large canine-things as the dog was already dead, he wasn't sure exactly what they were....similar to dire wolves in size but the heads were all wrong....
He shouldered his crossbow, " Um....why are we doing this?" he said plaintively before releasing the bolt...
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"We're doing this because those things are smart and they work with the angry goblins who just tried to attack us. Mostly though, that dog they're eating reminds me of a friend of mine."
(I forget if we can move on a surprise round, but Bert would love to use his movement to run NE behind the boulder in the graveyard and hide (stealth 24)).
(due to it not being a total surprise round as they knew people were there, there will be no movement. Mandaway needed a 7 or higher initiative for your group to go first)
Zook you know nothing about worgs.
From now on can people specify in some way which one they are attacking (even as simple as "the one that Hawk attacked")
We have worg 1 and worg 2. Because it makes a difference to who gets attacked, can people who attacked pick which one to go hit (everyone hit)
Hawk glances briefly at Mandaway. He gives him a very short look of understanding and says:
I don’t think we can learn much from these primitive beings. But I agree that we should try to figure out what happened here! Next time we encounter an ennemi, let’s try to keep one alive!
Pleased that his aim with the boomerang was true, Zook watches as the worg charges towards him. He suddenly realizes just how big and dangerous these wolf-like beasts are, with their large, powerful bodies, paws nearly as big as his own head and teeth that could surely bite right through his little gnome body. He experiences an initial twinge of fear, but quickly snaps his mind and body into focus as he prepares his defense.
Staying light on his feet, Zook keeps a fluid stance and tries to anticipate the worg’s movements. He waits until just the last possible moment, then when the worg is nearly opon him, he twists himself to the side and is fortunately able to dodge the attack.
Keeping his turn going, he spins all the way around and converts his defensive momentum into an offensive attack. At the end of his spin, he strikes at the worg’s throat with his short sword, then finishes with a roundhouse kick, or in his case, a “roundcottage” kick to the creature’s snout.
OOC: I’m still trying to get the hang of this dice roller, but it doesn’t look like it added my +3 DEX damage bonus to either of my attacks. I’m pretty sure I put the bonus in the combat tab, but oh well. At any rate, total damage should be 9 on my sword attack and 6 on my unarmed strike.
Bert, having darted across the graveyard after firing his bow while the worgs were eating the dog, completely disappears behind the boulder, and he thinks the worgs don't see him anymore. Just like my nocturnal adventures, sneaking around town, only this time, it's a real adventure, with real warriors, fighting real monsters! At least, I'm pretty sure these worgs are monsters... they were eating a dog after all, and I've heard stories of them attacking people along with goblins, and I don't want to be worg chow. The others seem upset about me deciding to attack them, but they'll see! We're heroes! Just maybe not to worg or goblin storytellers.
He nocks another arrow, draws his longbow, and fires at the worg attacking Zook (Z1), if it's still up.
Attack: 19 Damage: 9 Sneak attack: 1
Then he will use his movement to dart again to the east, against the wall of the next building (assuming the inn?), tucking behind the little alcove under the SW window/rookpeak, going as quietly as he can (stealth: 23). If I am messing up the hiding/stealth/sneak attack rules here, please let me know, and we can take the first attack to take away advantage (though sneak attack should be fine with the worgs in melee with others.)
ALso Zook you probably have a bonus to damage don't you? Don't forget to add!
Krakkan laughs. "I've never been much of a dog person anyway!" The beast bounces off of his armor and Krakkan will capitalize on the opportunity with his hand axes, leaving his ornate battle axes on his back.
Forge's attention on following Krakkan sees the large dog like creature approach him and launch an attack. A flame quickly appears into Forge's hand, extending his arm forward turning his palm towards the creature the flame juts forward like a fast ball cutting through the air.

Can I put my bow away, draw my swords and attack in one turn? I've heard different DMs play this differently? (you can count the attacks differently if necessary)
Hawk switches to his short-swords (free action?). Slashes twice at the Worg on Zook:
Bert: Until level 2 (I think) you can't take the hide action as a bonus action so for now you can't hide. Sneak attack is still valid from melee
Hawk: Technically, you can draw or stow one as a free action (and drop as many as you want) but a way around it is to drop the bow and draw one at the end of your last turn and then draw the other. And then you can pick your bow up at the end
Yeah, I wasn’t quite sure what that meant either.. if it was dead before my attack then Hawk would just attack the other one, if not, he’ll just await his next turn.
And yeah, I’d drop the bow and draw one sword, then the other on the next turn!

I said I was firing at the one that's farther away, if that works
Let's call the further away one number 2 in terms of other people

Zoom will aim for the closer worg, so worg 1.
(OOC: I'm not sure if we're moving onto the next round, or if we're waiting for something else... let me know if I should take a turn!)
Worg 1 will charge to attack Zook: Attack: 16 Damage: 7
Worg 2 goes to charge at Bert but then sees Krakkan standing there at attacks him instead: Attack: 7 Damage: 7
On a hit make a DC 13 strength saving throw or be prone.

He then moves 20ft. backing away from the party.
[uh oh..]
Mandaway hefted the Pacifier again....the second time in one day, the third time in two years....and went to Zooks defence.
Attack: 9 Damage: 5

Mandaway missed anyway so here goes. The second worg, clinging onto life will turn to attack Hawk. Attack: 7 Damage: 7 (on hit DC13 str save or prone)
2 goblins appear from the northwest (60ft away) and one from the south (80ft away) (distance from worg) and fire shortbows
At Krakkan: Attack: 13 Damage: 8
At Mandaway: Attack: 19 Damage: 8
At Zook: Attack: 7 Damage: 7
Your turn
