Garrie seems a but upset that you avoided it but she understood not everyone was as touchy as she was. Nodding at your words, and seeming hopeful of your success, she waves goodbye to you cheerily, before turning around to pray at the shrine. Seemingly thanking Tymora for her great fortune. More people bustling about ignoring the scene. Eventually Alynoa makes her way to Barthens, the only general goods store in the town. Being Greeted much as Sildar had. Why hello there little lady! What can we do for you ... Ah well, what are you seeking to purchase? We have many things!
Alynoa smiles, "Nothing much. I'm just looking for a silver comb or something like it. How much would something like that cost?" She looks around the room, looking for anything interesting that could be sitting out or even just what seems to be out in a store like this.
P-Pleasure to meat you both! I am Quellin Alderleaf..... I run the farm at the south end of town, I supply most of the food for the town by myself, so you can see why I'd be rather cross at thieves! the gnome says animatedly, shaking his fist and harrumphing. Finally catching himself as he drinks the last few sips of his wine fro mthe cup, before wiping his mouth with an audible 'ahh'
Finally focusing on the people in front of him, his ire completely gone And thank you so much. Right now he should be tilling the fields you were found in, but this is about the time he begins to vanish, and I just can't quite seem to catch the s-scamp. But I am sorry to impose!
Several people walk in, a few of them eyeing the conversation but paying it little to no mind. The faintest whispers of orcs and threats could be heard as they took a seat in the far corner in the darkness.
The bartender coming to refill the goblins glass, the container still being half-full, despite the size of the mugs, bowing and goign back to his duties, which now included serving the new entree's to the inn's bar area.
Alynoa is met with a smile and a handshake bu much less invasive greeting than the Elf. Hmm, I just so happen to have a few silvered combs. A lad or lass catch your eye? Most damsels seek these combs out when tryign to attract someone especial. As a silvered comb is guarunteed to bring out and revivify your hair, whether oyu need it or not. But seeing as my stock is so low... I couldn't part with it for less than 40 gold... if you can afford that.. i can part with one. I hate to seem like a scalper, but i do have a business to run, and silver isn't cheap...
As you look around the store, you see what you expect to see in most. (You can find most things here that are under adventuring gear, and are under 30 gold. If you want to see if they have anything 30 gold or higher on that same list, roll a 1d100, and if it lands between 45-65 the item will be there in 1d4 quantity.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Lark will try to focus his hearing on the whispered conversation for a few moments, the word 'orc' catching his attention. Perception 8 He doesn't linger though, he moves back to the table.
"Dear Quellin, tell me of the boy and the whereabouts of the caves he frequents." Lark leans forward conspiratorially, speaking lowly. "And I do advise caution as I believe the inn to have grown ears. Do you believe he is going there to meet someone?"

"I certainly hope not."Salazar finally pipes up. "After that business on the road-*clears throat*.. I am sure after a talk it will be fine. "Yes the Reddies. They seem to be a criminal organization that has taken root here. They call themselves the Redbrands or some such. Nothing too sophisticated near as I read, mostly strong arm stuff. But they have the mayor or what not in a precarious position, having taken a hostage. I have sown some seeds of chaos however, " Lark rubs his head again, "to what end I know not. After paying she looks about the shop again in curiosity, "Anything interesting going on in town right now?"
Barthen Hums as he listens, a bit confused - Well shucks... I think this is the first time I've ever heard of a young maiden seeking finery without wanting to impress someone! Salazar sighs in relief, only to perk up at the question. An immediate answer is briefly forsaken to pull out the magical bauble recently acquired before eventually going into the news. But only the cliff notes, as the item in hand once out kept distracting him. And he didn't wish to let any odd negative feelings creep in when in came to the Lady: simply business oriented though she may be.

Alynoa arrives back at the tavern just after Salazar begins fiddling with his bauble. Likely making her way to the group just as Quellin begins to respond O-oh, yes.. thank you all. I understand that you have other matters to attend and such. But thank you for being willing to look into it eventually. I j-just cant afford to stop my job... because it's what keeps the roof over his little head. And indeed.. the lords alliance should handle this but they must not be aware of it.. and a-as your friend said, trying to get them to muster now... might just be too slow.."
Sildar had in fact not been seen since Lark had found him. And Salazar feels a soft, calming thrum fro mthe bauble in his hand. While it doesn't seem powerful..... he feels it will be very useful.
Quellin starts at the question bout the manor though, pondering as if the manor was not really anything anyone had ever considered before. I-I don't think anyone lives there.... And its more like a castle.... though I know it's hard to see from the lowland. It probably used to be part of what the town was and just.. no one anted to deal with it I suppose? and there's not enough space for me to farm there... so .. heh. Who knows I suppose? Even the mayor lives down here with us on the flatlands.
