Ruhvon allows his attention to wander a bit as he kneels behind the rick of wood, waiting for something to emerge from the door. Leaning on his quarterstaff, the druid begins to probe and the nodules of various colors and shapes beginning to emerge from his wooden weapon. After giving a few a sniff, he gives a frilly yellow one a quick touch to his tongue. He shrugs, apparently satisfied with his investigations, and returns his focus to the task at hand.
The bartender scoffs at the threat "I've been threatened by bigger guys with bigger swords than you, lad. I make a point not to know any of the affiliations of my patrons. Makes for bad business when incompetent thugs...", he gives you a pointed look, "...come knocking. So I couldn't tell you if they're in here now or not if I wanted to. I have heard of them though. Knocked over a couple of stores nearby. One of the owners, Katar, I do care about though, and you seem pissed at the crooks so I'll tell you what I know. I heard that they've got a hideout somewhere on Pudding Lane, don't know exactly where though. If you're going after them, I only hope you're tougher than you look." He slides you gold of the counter and gives you your change along with your wine before returning to cleaning glasses. You know Pudding Lane is one of the nearby roads that branches off of Hangman's Lane.
Laza nods, and sits down anyway, saying "Perhaps I wasn't clear... I'm looking for the Crimson Rebels. They've been busy, and need to hear what I have to say."

The halflings and wizard look at you in shock. One of the halflings speaks first "Look mate, I don't know who you are but I don't want any trouble. If you want the Crimson Rebels, you're in the right place, but they're not here right now. Proper rowdy crew. All got red hair, which is pretty unusual for a halfling. Don't tell them I told you this, but we've had dealings and, as it happens, we're due to meet with them here tomorrow night. They say they'll have some merch for me. Something about calligraphy gear. Look, if you see them, don't tell 'em I mentioned anything, alright? Now, could you please leave me and this fine gentleman to our conversation?" He appears to be genuinely scared and has told you everything he knows.
Listening close Laza nods and says simply "Thanks friends. Next round is on me." and drops 4 silver on the table, then walks over to Erik to say "Our group isn't here tonight, maybe tomorrow. They should be easy to spot though. They all have bright red hair."

As you begin to leave the tavern, Ruhvon looks back and notices the back door of the tavern open. It's the barman, carrying a crate of empty bottles. The dwarf doesn't notice the ice and steps on to it. Dexterity: 9 He slips and falls and bottles roll everywhere. He looks around grumbling as Ruhvon exits the alley.
"Well we don't have until tomorrow night. Let's head to Katar's Emporium, then pudding lane." Erik will leave the front, motioning for Brayton to join them.
Katar's emporium lies on a dingy side street off of Hangman's Lane. It's a large, sprawling and untidy store with what was once a brightly painted storefront before years of wear and tear caused it to fade. There are many trinkets and odds and ends on display outside it. It seems to stock all sorts of basic weapons and equipment that might be useful for warriors, mages and even thieves such as yourselves, alongside a wide range of miscellaneous products. The front door is open and a sign next to it shows the shop is open all day today.
Leaving with Erik and the others Laza will pull his hood up to protect from the rain, and entering Katar's Emporium again magic the wet away. Then will start to look at the magical items, not really sure what any of it is used for exactly. Looking to the shop keeper he'll say "You were hit by the red halflings yes? And you are protected by the Silver Blades yes? Justice will be met. Tell us what happened."
Harpy, the tavern proving to be a bust follows her companions as they exit and make their way to Katar's Emporium. She follows them inside happy to get out of the rain and pretends to ogle the shop's goods as she eavesdrops and keeps a close eye out on for skulkers and such.

Inside the shop it's dim and dusty. Piles of goods are stacked haphazardly on every flat surface. Potion flasks sit beside maces balanced on top of decaying tomes written in ancient languages. There's only one figure in the store who you assume to be Katar. She's a wizened old human woman wrapped in multi-coloured cloaks. Her white hair is pulled up into a large white bun. She moves out from behind the counter slowly and carefully due to her age, but her eyes are bright and sharp. After you introduce yourselves she speaks and ,when she speaks, it's like being struck by an ogre's club made of fast-paced words.
"Oh good, you're from the Silver Blades! I really appreciate you coming around to help out! After all those years paying for your protection it's lovely to have your help now! I don't really know who it was that came in, but the lovely person from the Blades I spoke to the other day mentioned they thought it was the Crimson Renegades or somesuch? They were a lovely person! The chap from the Blades, not whoever stole my stock and my locket - they can rot in the Nine Hells for all I care. Not that I believe such a place really exists you know? Load of codswallop if you ask me. Where was I? Oh yes, the theft. It was two days ago. I'd locked up the shop the night before - front and back, all the windows. Set my alarm spells on all the entrances. Can't be too careful around here can you, eh?! Anyway, I woke up and came down to the shop and the place was a mess. I mean, it's always a mess here, but I know my way around like the back of my hand. There were things missing. An amulet here, a wand there. Several hundred gold's worth in total. I reckon maybe they'd hoped I wouldn't notice anything was gone. But I'm old, not senile m'dears! I noticed. And they'd stolen my locket from behind the desk -wasn't going to miss that! Silver, not too valuable, but it contains a miniature portrait of my husband Gods rest has soul. I don't care about the other stuff, but I'd like that back if you could find it. You are going to investigate this, yes? If you get me my locket back I'll make it worth your while! Hmm, how about a discount! I stock a lot of stuff I bet fellas like yourselves could use! Yes! If you get my locket back, you could have a discount for life! Oh, but I've missed the most important part of the story! Silly old Katar! None of the alarms spells went off and were all intact and the doors and windows were all still locked when I woke up. And these are the good alarm spells - you can't teleport past them of anything sneaky like that. So I've no idea how they got in here! Um, yes, I think that's everything. Yes, that's everything. But I bet you'll have questions. So many questions for old Katar. And you'll want to look around I'll wager! Just don't break anything!"
She finally takes a breath and stares at you all expectantly.
"We will look for your lost locket "replies Rothnar he doesn't adds anything more, wich makes an akward silence after the sea of words of the old woman. He looks to the others to go out and search the other place they were told they could find the halflings.
Harpy listens closely to the old woman's story and at the conclusion of the story turns her gaze to their resident wizard Erik and smirks, "sounds like this job plays right into your wheelhouse, what's the plan boss, how do you think they got in and out? Is there a way for you to check out the veracity of the alarm spells or test them out?"
Looking at the old woman Harpy asks, "what sort of amulet and wand went missing as knowing what they are and do exactly... might provide additional insight?"
Curious about who the old woman had talked to other days she also asks,"and who was the lovely person from the Blades that you spoke to, did he give you his name, and what did he look like? Did he say exactly what led him to believe that this theft was in fact perpetrated by the Crimson Renegades?"
Lastly, Harpy then asks the old woman, "what is there to stop a good thief from just grabbing the amulet and wand while you were busy or distracted during the day when the shop was open, what measures do you have to prevent that, are there others employees helping you mind the store, were all items mentioned locked up in a case or secured in some way?"

Ruhvon rises to follow after the others, then remembers the ice he placed. Just as he goes to dispell it the dwarf exits. It looks as if the short figure almost catches his balance but to no avail. As he passes the mess of bottles, he picks up one that is unbroken and places it in his bag. He chuckles slightly and moves on after his companions.
At the next location, the half-drow finds a place out of the rain. He leans against the side of the building, near the front door and watches for any suspicious looking redhead halflings [Perception: 17, assuming that fact was passed on to the group]. He turns to the Brayton."So... Nice weather we're having,"he gravely tone would seem to indicate that he believes it to be a nice day.

At this, Katar flicks her hand towards the door and it swings shut. She flicks it again and mutters an incantation. "There, I've set the alarm spell, please go ahead and test it if you like."
"Hmm, he was a half-orc. Looked mean, but he talked so nice to me. Black tuft of hair. Said his name was Todi if I recall?" You recognise the description of one of the lower level enforcers on Pike's payroll. "He didn't say why he thought it was the Crimson Rebels, but I guess there are only so many crews stupid enough to go after a shop under your protection!"
"Well my dear, first of all, the theft couldn't have happened during the day because they were all there when I went to bed and gone the next morning. And, during the day, I keep a pretty close eye on my wares. Had someone try to pilfer something once and they ended up losing an ear and all the hair on one side of their head. Amazing what fire will do someone! Never had anyone try and pinch anything after that. No siree! As for employees, I work here alone. Nobody messes with me after the whole "fireball" incident and I only get a few customers a day most of the time. It's lovely for your fine gentlemen and flying demon-thingy to come around and visit in fact! Would you like a biscuit?" Katar produces a plate of biscuits from behind the counter and offers them to you.
At the next location, the half-drow finds a place out of the rain. He leans against the side of the building, near the front door and watches for any suspicious looking redhead halflings [Perception: 12, assuming that fact was passed on to the group]. He turns to the Brayton."So... Nice weather we're having,"he gravely tone would seem to indicate that he believes it to be a nice day.
You fail to notice any halflings, red-haired or otherwise. This side street is pretty quiet with just a cat quietly cleaning itself under an awning. The bustle of people passing by on Hangman's Lane is made up of mostly tall people and they all have their hoods up against the rain making picking out details tricky.
"Let's look around find any entry ways. Give me a minute and I'll join you." Erik will begin to ritual cast Detect Magic.
You cast the ritual and your vision swims a little before coming back into focus. The shop is full of many large glowing objects - a shield here, a sword there, a rack of potions by the window. Katar also seems to have multiple magical items about her person. Given the nature of the shop, this doesn't seem particularly out of place. Roll a perception check.
Brayton crosses his arms “yeah, great weather unless you’re looking for someone. No one going out in the rain might make this a little bit more difficult. Other than that, I don’t mind it.”
