(If one of them are within 10' they will need to make a DC 12 ConST for Halo of Spore damage, 6 necrotic... made in my last post.)
Seeing the group continuing to retreat, Ruhvon continues up as well. He turns waves and points a finger at the feet of the animate armor. "Don't trip."Weeds and vines begin to sprout at their feet and up the steps.
Move: 30' up the steps
Action: Entangle - placed to get both if possible and cover our escape as best as possible. DC 12 Str ST or restrained.
Seeing it's effect, Laza will again attempt to shock the armor so they can make their escape.
Attack: 12 Damage: 8
((that missed... lame...))
Even missing he will run from the armor ((if it's AoO rolls between 13 and 17, ie a hit, he'll use a reaction to cast Shield. if it's above or a miss he wont.)), grabbing a random book on the way to the exit and shoving it under his cloak, to make it seem that the professor is trying to hide a book while running.
Laza makes turns and lets one last bolt of lightning from his fingers towards one of the figures, but it manages to duck out of the way just in time. Laza grabs the nearest book he can find (mark "Unknown Arcane Tome" in your inventory) and literally turns tail and heads up the winding stone staircase out of view.

Sorry, you're right, this should have happened earlier. The figure nearest the bottom of the stairs attempts to save against the Halo of Spores: 7. It winces ans suffers the damage. (I'll say you cast your spell before you move so you still have LoS of the figures) Ruhvon gestures and grasping vines spring from the floor, engulfing the two remaining figures. The flailing vines knock against the outside of the display cases in the centre of the room but don't seem to damage them significantly.
Brayton will attack the closest armored figure, recklessly. “I’ll see you down as a pile of scrap you rusted bucket of bolts!”
Attack: 22 Damage: 17
making his way back towards the door with the group.
Brayton attacks the figure with the hammer who's next to the group at the bottom of the stairs with a wild blow with his axe. It smashes through the figure and pieces of armour flies everywhere. There is no sign of an occupant of the suit of armour. Brayton smiles in satisfaction and heads up the stairs.
The pieces of armour and hammer fall to the floor and lie still for a few seconds. Then they slowly begin to vibrate and glow. As if drawn by an invisible force they begin to move together slowly. A piece of leg armour sets itself on top of an armoured foot. The armour is clearly rebuilding itself - you probably have less than thirty seconds before the process is complete.
Rothnar will move up and directly towards their tunnel to make their escape
"We better hurry we don`t know if we have fired more alarms "
He drinks a potion as he run, but he will keep the empty vial with him.
( Movement: Go upstairs and towards the tunnel to escape. Action: Drink a healing potion: 7 BA: Cunning action feature: Dash towards the exit )
Ruhvon also makes it a significant way up the stairs.
Now you're all partially up the stairs. From below you hear the sounds of the thrashing vines and the reassembling suit of armour. You also hear the remaining armoured figure trying to move through the vines: 3 It sounds as though the vines are holding it fast.
We'll stay in initiative order for the meantime, even though you seem to be getting away from your pursuers. All of you can reach the upper floor of the Controlled Section in a single move action and could reach the bottom of the chute you entered by or the bottom of the stairs leading to the main floor of the library with another move action (e.g. if you dashed).
Panting as they run, Laza looks back and says "Do we have it? And evidence to plant? Can we go? When we get out I'll make enough noise to catch attention as the professor and make it seem as if I've been given the book before dashing away and dropping my disguise."
"The evidence is good, what if you run towards the festival and bring the guards with you then drop the disguise!" Erik continues runningas they get close to the exit.

You all queue up at the chute and make it up one by one. The last of you to make it up notices the noise from downstairs has quietened down - it seems the armoured suits have chosen not to or are unable to pursue you upstairs. You make your way up the chute, passing the trap you disarmed on your way in (would you like to try to re-arm it by the way? It would be tricky but would be possible given the attention Rothnar paid to its construction as he was disarming it).
You make it outside and huddle concealed in the bushes at the top of the chute, out of sight of anybody passing by. Listening carefully, there doesn't seem to be any commotion - it seems you've been undetected so far. Guards are passing on their regular patrols at the normal predictable intervals. What do you do now?
"I think we should have the guards notice us with the book and Laza run towards the festival as mention. That way they see her run towards the festival and they know she apart of the books theft..."

Laza, thinking that the professor would not be an unusual sight near the library, but would be unusual coming out of the sewers, says to the team "Go on to your tasks. I'll try to blend in with the crowd and meet you back at the base."
His plan then would be to come out of the sewer when a guard is far, but able to see him ((disguised of course)). He'll then attempt to walk suspiciously quickly towards the crowd, acting like he's hiding the book under his cloak ((which he is of course, but he's trying to make it look like he's badly hiding it... basically imagine all of this as someone who thinks they're hiding well, but really isn't, and he'll try to be seen by at least one guard acting suspicious, maybe also pulling them away from the chute)). Once in the crowd he'll actually try to blend in with the crowd, and to duck into a dark alley, or behind some festival booth, to drop the disguise, better hide the book on his person, and go play some festival games.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
OK, I think I follow your plan. I'll assume the rest of you have left the bushes during a lull in the guards' patrols but are still in the same general area and can see what unfolds. If you want to jump in, please say so.
Laza, magically disguised as Tolith, waits in the bushes by exit of the chute which leads down to the Controlled Section. When a guard is a few dozen feet, he exits the bushes obviously and appears to notice the guard for the first time whilst trying to obviously hide the book badly (performance: 19).
The guard notices the book and, combined with "Tolith"'s sudden appearance from the bushes by the library seems to immediately realise that something suspicious is going on. He shouts "Oi, you! Hold it right there." and begins to move toward you. He's not very young and is clearly unfit but he lumbers after you. You're able to outpace him easily as you head toward the festivities, but his cries alert a couple of other nearby guards who break into a run and begin to give chase. You have to run to outpace them (athletics: 16) but they're gaining on you. You're about forty feet from the crowd watching the Olympiad and the pair of fitter guards are about ten feet behind you. It looks like they'll catch up to you about the same time as you hit the crowd. What do you do?
((They took to a full chase much faster than I expected...))
Having few options to slow anyone chasing him, Laza quickly reaches into his pocket, pulls out a medium sized diamond, and casts an orb of ice at the ground, hoping that it will slow the guards enough so he can disappear into the crowd.
"All right he's got their attention let's head to the festival and pick him up." Erik will wait until laza grabs the guards attention and then follow them to the festival ready to cast spells if Laza is in danger of being caught.

Brayton will begin to shout “Parcel Delivery, please move aside! Parcel delivery Services, coming through!” And run into colliding with the guards giving chase.
”Oi! Watch it there, you’re going to crush my parcel. I’m going to be late now.!” Before running of into the crowd.
