Galawain continues to turn around and sees Lugnutz delicately, almost reverently, removing the ears from the fallen bandits, giving them a taste test and popping them in his bag.
Ooookay. Noted. If we are happy that there is nothing more of value here shall we head to where it is believed they were keeping their accumulated loot?
Ooc: im treating this as a short rest so Lugnutz can bring himself back up to health if he wants by rolling a d12+Con before we decide where we go now
Galawain looks to the others Geltrix and Arnnon arguing quietly about how much of the money should be spent of rum. Lugnutz has a dried ear hanging out of the corner of his mouth while he applies a rough bandage made from one of the corpses tunic across the shallow cut he suffered in the fight.
The bush man is still laying on the floor where the bear dropped him.
What a weird group he thinks to himself.
Okay guys if you’re happy to go let’s do it. I have the rough location of Tricklerock Cave from the Red Larchers so follow me.
Lugnutz hefts the unconscious human easily and the head East heading up into the rocky scrublands. No one asks nor wants to know whether Lugnutz is being kind to the bush man or whether he is carrying his lunch...
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Lugnutz is carrying the scrawny human with the broken instrument. Sometimes he forgets that the scrawny human could be useful as something other than lunch, but he's had too many bad experiences in groups to get too peckish at this point....
The scrublands thin and the rocky crags and ravines become more prominent. Arnnon’s familiarity in being in the wilderness clearly shows and he is able to weave the group swiftly through clefts in the rocks and valleys towards the market showing on the map for the rough location of the Tricklerock Cave.
The sun is starting to set as the party have travelled about 20 miles since leaving Red Larch.
In a ravine, an exposed rock face is split by a vertical crevice about three feet wide and fifteen feet high. Water trickles from the opening and spills into a nearby bog. In the mud around the crevice are many overlapping bootprints. Some head into the crevice, and some come out.
A withered tree clings forlornly to the rock face near the crevice.
A weathered human skull, jaw sagging, is pinned to the trunk of a tree ahead by a big black arrow protruding from one of the skull’s eye sockets.
The arrow comes away with no signs of damage and no other ill effects. Lugnutz being the strong and mostly silent type grunts in response to the vision but there is no visible effect from the vision he had and none of the others seem to have noticed.
The bushman awakens and looks around. Seeing that he is not dead and not surrounded by corpses he cracks a wild grin. Most awesome rescue dudes! Totally rad that you fished me out of that one! But uuuuuuh where are we? And why is there a gnarly looking skull next to this creepy ol ravine?
Galawain takes a few moments explaining what happened at the camp and where they now are. The bush man introduces himself as Yung Nastymian a travelling bard of questionable orientations. And that he is in search of a mythical lute, the Lute of Destiny, believed to have been strung with the hair of ASmodeus himself.
He agrees to help out with your tasks as a way of saying thank you for scaring the bear off.
Map what do you want to do? Enter the cave now while there is still light or set up camp and rest?

“I agree, we should move on”
6 Hit Dice for Lugnutz
“I think in the interest of keeping the Pirate happy we should go look for their loot, or should I say booty?”

As the hours pass Lugnutz is repeatedly distracted by the unconscious Male farting at the most inopportune times.

Lugnutz pokes the skull.
There appears to be no eating on this one.
Black parchment (actually dyed human skin) is wrapped around the arrow just in front of the fletching. It is a message that reads, in Common:
The arrow’s point is of black-painted metal, and it punched a hole through the back of the skull and sank deep into the tree.
Lugnutz is struck momentarily by a vision of the skull cackling maniacally and swooping towards and through him
“Hmmmm, that arrow may come in handy for my bow, it appears to be made of strong materials”
Arnnon reaches out to pull the arrow from the tree

“We should explore the cave while we still have an element of surprise”
Galawain nods in agreement. We should be careful of traps that skull was definitely left there as a warning.
Movement order into the cave please and a perception check from everyone.
