"Four dead, Szetin may join them but we will see. I don't know why he isn't dead already, but these things happen. If it helps you have killed a group of mercenaries who were being paid to provide both alibi and protection to a man who likes to murder beautiful young women, during or before a variety of sadistic carnal acts. I don't really feel much remorse personally..." Dejan trails off as he starts in on a glass of wine.

The half-elf pouts silently and stares at her apple, annoyed with herself for not knowing this about Szetin, a mark who she had identified for his apparent innocence. "Next time you know that one of my marks is as likely to eat me as make love to me... please tell me beforehand", she says quietly.
"Men make all sorts of stupid boasts to impress women - I've heard them all - including mentioning their power over the lives of others, as if it's some sort of aphrodisiac. I had him pegged as maybe enjoying the rougher side of things, but not quite what you describe..."
"What of our crime scene then, how will the murders and theft be publicly reported?", she says, trying to change the subject.
Gryffennods. "Interesting if that is true, Dejan," he says. The halfling looks to be computing complicated numbers in his head as he ponders this new information.
"How many people has Szetin killed?" Gideons tone is flat "I'm am unamused at the thought of being used to carry out the job of law enforcment, if you knew this creature kills women at whim you should have stopped him far earlier ser" Gideon reaches for some wine before settling back into a chair clearly annoyed.
"I don't know Ser Bytan, we do know of two, we suspect more. We could prove nothing that would satisfy the Pholtus clergy and he seems fairly well connected. I never felt you were in any danger Ophelia, especially with Kai nearby at all times. I imagine you would have been able to take him on your own if necessary. In terms of the publicity it will be in two parts, the first will be a veil of secrecy, the stone has had a copy made already and will be back on display shortly along with fake versions of the other pieces you have acquired. In time we would hope to reclaim them all, once the mission has reached it's conclusion but the more important thing is to get to Dambargi. In terms of the second part of the information - news will filter through reliable informants that items of value have been stolen form the museum in an audacious robbery, with no clues left behind as to the identity of the criminals. A short while later the list of items you have just taken will be allowed to escape to the correct ears and shortly later the Midnight Vipers and the other guilds will have heard what is missing, when you turn up with those items in a few weeks they will know who you are." Dejan sits down in his chair, looking tired but at the same time energised. "There were no murders, becuse nobody who died actually worked in that museum. All the regular guards had their shifts changed and they all think that the others were working instead, in time it will be clear this was part of the deception but for now trust that it is in nobodies interest to advertise that a group of imposters were murdered by a group of jewel thieves while all the actual guards were sitting in the tavern having a beer. But now we must look to the future, and for you I think that will mean a caravan journey to the east."

"So I don't get to be the madam of my own whorehouse, or a pirate queen?" The half-elf looks disappointed at the idea of not arriving in Ameni at the wheel of her own ship.
Kai chuckles at Ophelia complaint but decides discretion is the better part of valour. He turns to the party saying “I’ve never been there so either works for me.”

"If your heart is set on arriving by water you will need to head to another part of the coast and acquire a boat and then sail on to Ameni." Dejan looks as though he considers it to be a lot of work "We could arrange for a boat. It would take time, but we could do it. I had been thinking you could get to the East with a caravan. To either Ameni or Colat, if you really need a boat before you arrive, it will take about twelve days. Caravans leave everyday, pretty much for one or the other of those cities. The choice is yours."

"It would have been nice...", Ophelia sighs wistfully, "but it would probably be better if we moved on, even it we did get away with it. A caravan it is, I suppose..."
"I would rather not return to Colat for the time being" Gideon shuffles in his seat uncomfortably before reaching for the jug of wine at its centre "Anyone else" he says offering it up before filling his own cup.
"Yes, as long as you don't add anything to it." Dejan says with a chuckle then stops himself and apologises saying "That was uncalled for Ser Bytan, I am sorry."
"A caravan is going to depart in the morning for Ameni, later in the day another for Colat and then the next morning another for Ameni. We can get you into any of them, and can easily provide whatever mundane goods you might want to use as cover if you wish, or we could get you hired as guards, I doubt we could get you all in as drivers but maybe one or two if you have any experience. What would you prefer, the other travellers are likely to be moving produce and crafted items, nothing particularly valuable."

“Put me down for a guard or scout position on the first caravan that is leaving” while muttering to himself “it will be good to get out of this city and back into the wilds or whatever passes for the wilds around here!”
Gideon stifles a chuckle, obviously Dejan has a sense of humour he thought. "Thats quiet alright" he replies " I could pose as a guard, its not uncommon for knights to offer service as caravan guards travelling east" He raises a cup to Kai "Aye lad to travel east again is my wish, away from this rats nest, albeit into another but a respite between the two is welcome nonetheless"
"I doubt we could get you all in as drivers but maybe one or two if you have any experience."

"Well there was the one time I drove a horse and cart at break-neck speed through one of the main thoroughfares of Colat, on the run from the guards, and managed not kill anyone...", Ophelia says with a smile. "Either that or chalk me up as another guard."
Gryffen says, "I cannot drive and I won't serve as a very imposing guard. I make a poor porter as well. I could travel as a crafter, I suppose, although I have no such actual skill. Maybe a bard? I play a decent pan flute and have training in many acrobatic feats. I could also pose as a simple religious pilgrim."
