Kal will wait for any responses, challenges, suggestions, etc from anyone. He looks each person in the eye for a few seconds, in turn, to see if anyone has anything to contribute. If nobody says anything within a minute or so, then Kal will take that as consent (or lack of anybody else willing to speak up) and head out to do the recon.
Kal wait! Let someone go with you. No point get buggered over by the goblins because of a misunderstanding. You guys stay with the wagon. I'll go with Kal. You’ll hear thunder if it goes tits up
The party splits up, Kal easily tracking the trail they took yesterday until they reach the location they can see the horses from. The second group can stay here or set off and meet up for a counter ambush (Need an animal handling check for the second group if you leave and information on how far you wish to drive the oxen to the dead horses.) Kal gave detailed information as he would have from the trip yesterday and let you know about how far ahead you need to stop to remain out of sight of the goblins. Kal and Niche can see the dead horses as before from this position
Make a group perception check with advantage and a group stealth check
Perception and stealth will be a +6 each (as a group I will round up unless someone has disadvantage then I will round down)
No offense mate, but ya already said yur shite at sneakin’. Recon is stealthy work. I’d ruther take ma chances alone than tryn to sneak aroun wit some’n clankin’ round in metal armor.

“I was asking the wizard who crafted a crazy demon blade for proper instructions, might have gotten more if some one didn’t decide to piss him off.” Niche replied indignantly but was soon surprised that Kal decided to go on his own instead. For the sake of her pride Niche didn’t speak up when Kal’s gaze settled on her and by then Bran had already made his offer. She mumbles something under her breath about playing the hero anddecided to speak up again, “alright, I want the delivery to be done properly as much as the rest of you so I guess that each has to do what they are best at. I’ll come with too.”
(Wait so is this still happening before they split off? Since I think it probs is better for just Niche and Kal to go but if the splitting up already happened then I guess it’ll be Niche, Kal and Bran)
It makes more sense for Kal and Niche to go without Bran, he is disadvantage in stealth rolls due to his armour. He’ll give you an hour to get into position before getting the cart rolling to act as bait
Edited my previous post, please re-read as it has the updated information.
The 'wagon' party waits together for an hour and finishes packing up any supplies left and break down the camp. Whoever drives need an animal handling check. Will also need a perception check with advantage.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
????? - Sorvas: see the OOC, but I'll do this here because I think this is what you mean. If I'm misunderstanding, then we'll strike this whole post and fix it.
Group percep: 21 (w/adv)

Yes, that is what I mean, but Niche needs to roll too, as long as no failures, add together and divide by 2.
How we did it in my groups, if someone has a disadvantage in a skill, the check for them is made with a disadvantage roll, and the rest of the party has an additional -1 on their rolls but no disadvantage.
Probably works best at a table as we had a sheet with all combined effects in the center that was shared...It was in an odd clip with a base with a few other random DND shared papers for the campaign.
Like I said in ooc if it confuses too many we can do whatever everyone normally does on here. You will just have to show me lol. (1st time DM PBP) (Only done homebrews with friends, some 'normal' campaigns but all with altered rules and some from various editions or other games that people liked. So you know, but this dog can learn new tricks.) :)
Kal is bregurdingly impressed by your moves, but he doesn't say anything. Since this is a group check, I'm assuming we're staying together. Kal motions for her to follow him on the path he took yesterday where they spotted the horses and the goblins.

With her hood up, Niche blends surprisingly well into the forest’s shadows. She seems to have disappeared for a second, then suddenly reappearing in a different spot entirely on the other side of Kal. She gives him a smirk but stays put in the spot as she isn’t familiar with the path, following Kal silently once he starts leading the way.
Kal and Niche, you both reach the same vantage point that Kal and Bran had made it to on the previous day and seen the 2 goblins. You can see the horses have been eaten further throughout the night.as you both move closer you see the arrows have black fletching, possibly made from a vulture or some other large black bird. You can see drag marks and (2 sets) leading off of the road but from there they disappear (to follow them a survival check will be required). (As you are at the log the option to remain together/split up and/or flank east or west or continue straight south would be all options I would need input from you on as it would change what you do/don't see.)
From the location you are before you start moving, it is on the far side. The drag marks are the same way. (South of your current location lies the road, and the goblins came from the south. The shots came from the south. And last but not least the drag marks go to the south, then southwest before disappearing.)
As Kal and Niche sweep the area on the north side of the horses, Kal finds a scroll case with the cap off of it that is against a tree about 8 feet from the road's clearing against a tree, you pick it up and find it is empty. Is dark brown and has the initials GR burned into the leather on both ends (Cap (top) and the bottom side). The cap is attached with a small steel chain and fits rather snugly. It is unlikely that if there was anything inside that the case opened on it's own. As you reach the horses (still on the north side of the road, you see that the saddle bags were cut off along with the saddles. Strips of leather remain under the felled beasts and blood pools under both of them, there are some prints of animals that have feasted on the horses at some point. They appear dry at this point, along with a lone (you assume) goblin print that walks into the forest on the south side (consistent with what you have witnessed yesterday). At what location do you wish to cross the road? Horses? East? West? Do you want to circle farther around and continue your search at that point (ex. 300 feet west)? Report back what you have found to the party? Plan a counter ambush from this side of the forest if there is one to be had?
Side note: Currently the Horses would block the path forward so one must be moved (at minimum) to get the wagon passed due to the tree's that would be in the way.
Niche frowned at the scene before her, “Looks like the goblins are still using the horses as bait. We’d have to expose ourselves to move the dead horses if we want the wagon to pass through here. I think it’d be best if we tell the group and try to counter ambush together before they get us.”
She shuffled closer to Kal when she noticed him finding the scroll case. “GR huh... Looks like Gundren got attacked, I hope he’s not dead already.”
(Im thinking of having a quick look around for other dangers, then go and tell the group to get ready to fight, then the stealthy people can mount a sneak attack first to hopefully drive out the goblins from the forest for the not so stealthy people waiting on the road)
{Well I had been proposing an concentric circle, outside-in approach. But since we've swept the north side}
I say we go back westwa'd an cross de road out o sight of the hosses. Den loop 'round southwa'd til we're 'bout 300 feet due south of the hosses. Den we work our way in. If'n we spot de ambush, break off and go back ta de wagon.

I saw a 2nd goblin come out from the trees somewhere else yesterday. Is that on this side of the road or the other side?
