Kal heads towards the raft to see if he can tell anything from any tracks that might be there. Question for Sorvas: Underdark is favored terrain for the Natural Explorer feature. You will have to rule whether a cave system is close enough to the Underdark to allow the bonuses for Natural explorer to kick in.
Marching order? Kal should be front or back. And we're all human or halfling, correct? That means we all need light. I've got a lantern. Does Bran have light spell?
(DM Ruling for "Underdark" will be any naturally formed terrain that is underground and without any form of sunlight naturally. Any (for a lack of better term) Man-made or magical locations (EX. Magical Maze) will only count to this bonus if it is at least 1/2 a mile underground.)
Any questions I am all ears :)
Bran, Niche, and Zandrich where are your preferred locations?
Kal, you can see a well worn path that forks in the road ahead, one off to the right (the water is on the left of both paths) and the other path swings slightly right and follows the water from the creek. You also notice that there is some extra rope on the raft to tie things down with as well as the raft has a pulley system and is currently tied to it. You can hear two goblins saying something ahead to each other faintly but it is just on the wind so to speak.
Note: It is dim light where you are standing if you did not have light from the outdoors
Through the bars you see the two goblin guards arguing about food. Over the past few days you have started to notice that the shorter one called Zim wants to eat one of you, but Tarn who is bigger and has some mangled leather armor will not let him due to fear of Klarg (you assume). It appears they are having the same argument now, and Zim just pulled out a dagger and points it in your direction. Tarn has a scimitar at his right side and a dagger on his left but does not draw them.
“Let’s take out a few more before they notice our presence.” Niche whispered when Kal indicated that there are more goblins up ahead. She will try to sneak a little more ahead to see if she can get a view of the goblins.
Did Kal hear things clearly enough to get names? Instead of us sneaking to them and failing stealth, I could call out to them in goblin. We could try to use their names (if he heard them) to get them to come out and we can surprise ambush them
Kal, due to the distance you did not hear any of the information discussed or catch any names, only the mutterings of Goblin passes your ears but it is not comprehensible due to the distance and the sound of the water lightly passing next to you from the creek.
For the characters inside the cave with the goblins.
You both notice a very dim light come to the entrance of to the cave. You whisper to each other so that the arguing goblins cant here and discuss this briefly. Any of the other goblins that have entered into here before have not had a light source. John, what do you do? (Shadrac is currently out of town until Sunday so I will leave any decisions up to you for now)
(at this point I am going to say that the group (that came from outside) moved up to be about 15 feet away from the fork, with Niche moving to the entrance of the fork and taking a peek, unless you say otherwise) (Don't want to assume that you are walking all the way in if that is not what is happening)
