Spiv trudges over to dig out what arrows he could from the spider carcass. "So far, yeah. Thing was toughier than expected! Which means..."A manic grin splits Spiv's features as he tries to harvest what poison he could into an wine bottle, if not at least immediately coat some of his arrows in the stuff. Short of being called away early or simply failing, he makes he hustle along to join Sylv by the open doorway. Instead of checking that one out however, he examines the closed door next to east of it for traps before trying to open it for a peek beyond.
Spiv retrieves his arrows and tries to harvest the poison but after checking his pickets he realizes he doesn't have a wine bottle. He then tries to dip a couple arrows in the poison of the beast (Roll an Investigation check DC14 to see if you succeed. Max 2 arrows, 1 for each fang) .
You see that the 2 wooden doors open into the room you are in. The open doorway leads north and then the passage turns west.
Spiv does not see traps on the door he checks and while it appears to be unlocked when he tries to open it it doesn't budge and is stuck.
Syljeon considers these new findings, "I think it's good that it's stuck. Less of a chance of us getting surprised from behind. Spiv, your choice of directions."
Spiv gives everyone a skeptical look, then shrugs and starts walking to the north open door having capped at least one arrow in poison. "Chances are will circle back around one way or another to whatevers barring that eastern door. But I'd stay on your toes, either way. Where there's one of those there's.... actually, no those fellas tend to hunt alone. But still be leery." He mentions as he goes from casually walk along to creeping ahead doorway to the north and onward west to the next bend.
Spiv leads the party to the north and follows the corridor only to find that it wraps around and comes to the western door of the room they were just in. Checking this door you find that it is also stuck.
"No complaints here."Spiv mentions on their way back. As Syljeon starts to try pulling the door open, the deep gnome clears his throat and reaches into his pack for a crowbar. This he offers to Syljeon and says, "Might help a bit more than yanking the knob off, ya?"Whether the drow accepts the gift or not, Spiv moves to about twenty-five feet behind the warrior, and readies a shortbow for any surprise.

Syljeon prys the door and it opens towards them. Looking in the room they see that it is 30x30 with an archway door on the far side. Spirals of red stones cover the floor.
Theodorick will move to area K6 to try to intercept any incoming skeletons as well he will ready his mace to swing on the first skeleton to come into his range.
Nezira, Syljeon and Theodorick each attack the spider, but none hit. It isn't until Spiv strikes with an arrow that the spider falls dead.

Syljeon says, "One down, so far so good."
He goes and peers through the open doorway to the north and also check which way the doors to the east and west would open (without opening them).

He drops the crowbar and readies an attack for anything that comes close first:

No because there is no surprise round.

Syljeon blocks the doorway and strikes out at one of the skeletons as it draws near but it parries the attack away.
The closest skeleton attacks Syljeon with its short sword Attack: 19 Damage: 3 and the blade bites into him causing injury
The other 2 move into a better line of sight and attack with shortbows. The first attacks 1 Theodorick 13 Damage: 6
The second attacks 1 Syljeon 15 Damage: 3
Both arrows clatter against the edges of the doorway and miss.
