What lies beyond the Trackless Sea in the world of Toril has always perplexed the citizens of Neverwinter. Rumors have it that great undiscovered continents with untold wealth lie there, but many dismiss them as fireside tales. As with many rumors and tales, a grain of truth is always present. The continent of Austrilis lies in this perilous sea with a great many countries. One such country is the Country of Comstalia. King Lacerca currently rules the country from the tallest mountain in the center of the country, Unus Mons, in the city Rexstalia. Four lords rule below him over the four major cities: Lord Nesteris rules the port city of Norstalia, Lord Eura rules the city of Eastalia, Lord Salari rules the city of Soutstalia and Lord Waxston rules the city of Westalia.
The evening sun is slowly setting in Northalia. The crisp breeze off the northern sea blows in over the port. A massive dark rider cargo ship takes up the largest dock and is currently being loaded with stolen supplies and cargo in preparation for its journey. The dock is busy and many loud noises are common, but crashes are normally a sign of blunder. Thus, it falls to the dark rider dock master to ensure all is loaded and everything is in order.
After a long day of work, the dock master moves to check why the stolen barrels of wine have not made it on the ship yet. He rounds the corner and begins to yell “What are ye..” when he sees IT. “Is that a person?” he thought. His thinking interrupted by a yell “The god of death awaits you!” followed by a swing of a massive axe with two gems adorned in it, decapitating a dark rider. “Oh my. What is going on?” The dock master turns to flee when he is surprised by a young man with a rapier drawn and pointed right at his throat “Where do you think you are going?” the man asks. The dock master turns his head looking for a way to escape. “There!” he thought. A group of four dark riders was coming over to help. “Finally reinforcements!” he thought as they charged in towards the man with the great axe.
As the dock master watched the four men approach, he noticed the one on the left slow his run, with ice crystals slowly forming over his body. Behind him, a single humanoid that looked as if she just finished bathing, with beads of moisture collecting on their skin and hair stood there with her hands contorted as the dark rider’s body froze over. “We still have three!” he thought, when a green dragonoid human bearing a mail armor, a shield and a sword rushed in and impaled the one on the outer right side with a draconic screech. “Two, I can work with tw-“ His thought was cut short when a green beam of crackling energy streaked and slammed right into one of the dark riders, collapsing him instantly. “One left, at least we will take out that man with the great axe.” A comforting thought of revenge as he knew the battle was lost. The final dark rider raised his sword to slice the back of the man with the axe when suddenly from behind him a bolt of fire came and whizzed so close to his head, that it signed a few hairs on its passing. This bolt blasted the last dark rider sending him flying to the ground. The dock master turned around in an attempt to appease the man behind him, with rapier still at his throat he muttered “I’ll give you anything!” in which the man replied “Sorry, no survivors tonight.” and with a single flick of his wrist, the rapier cut the throat of the dock master.
A barbarian, a druid, a paladin, a warlock, a wizard, and a rogue, all gathered in one place, never meeting before this time. Doubt is heavy in the air but one thing they have agreed upon in the last few moments is that they all share a grudge against the dark riders and them seem to have an interest in that dark rider cargo ship. Will this be enough to form a pact, even if temporary? The story now lands in the hands of the adventures, as the evening sun retreats under the sea…
Well then. It seems I owe you all a debt of gratitude for joining me in the fight. I would ask what grudges you have against them, but knowing their ways it is not hard to imagine why you are all here.
I will be frank will you all. I have followed these black riders all the way from the deserts beyond Southalia. These vile men murdered my wife and son and my daughter is being held prisoner aboard this very ship. Thus, I am here to rescue my daughter and slay every dark rider that I encounter.
(Hunding’s face is affixed with a flat soulless stare)The death god will smile tonight. Join me if you wish, but if you choose to stand in my way then your flesh will fill the bellies of the vultures.
I have become quite partial to my flesh *hiccup* and would very much like to keep it out of any beast’s *hiccup* belly. Let us slay this vermin together and fill our pockets with whatever fortune comes our way....*hiccup
"Greetings, humans. I have my own score to settle with the dark riders. Their actions have caused the sun to disappear from my lands, a vital source of energy for my people."
Nearby water raises onto the land, taking the shape of turtles before being frozen by magic.
"However, it seems that nature has in turn given me powers over elements to use as a weapon against these vile creatures."
A small turtle peeks out from TT's pocket.
"???" Following the turtle's glance, TT glimpses at the paladin of the group. "Yes, turtle. I knew that one wasn't a human."
Nedrick listens intently as the others discuss. He leans down and wipes the blood off his rapier onto the clothing of the Dark Rider he has slain before placing it back in his scabbard on his right side. Nedrick is a young man you guess to be around 19 years old. He has medium length black hair slicked back along with a matching black beard that is well kept. He wears fine black clothing but underneath you can see leather armor to protect his chest. He wears a cloak that is slightly dirty and appears worn. It tends to stay in place almost as if it is weighted down. He wears a backpack that has a coil of rope attached to it but doesn't make much of a sound.
Nedrick walks up to the rest with a smile and what you would recognize as a southern gentleman accent.
Nedrick says, "Well... It does appear our affairs are aligned one way or another. I do hate to hear that this strapping individuals daughter has been taken but it does seem that this group of individuals has the upper hand over this savage riders."
Nedrick looks TT up and down.
Nedrick says, "Most interesting... I have never seen one of your kind. Anyway, I digress. Let us see if this one has a key... To a cell perhaps? Night falls quickly."
Nedrick would like to search the body of the Dark Rider specifically for a key or any papers such as a shipping manifest.
(Glancing warily) Although I won’t refuse help of any kind, but I must say that great scaly beast makes me uneasy. (Pointing at the Dragonborn) You there. What brings a Dragonborn to the lands of humankind?
Mort winks at TT and and utters an incantation. With a odd gesture and a flip of his staff, a small pink and yellow polka dotted turtle appears and dances in front of TT
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Nedrick searches the body of the dock master and finds a piece of paper with blood covering most of it. From what he can see though it is the log of items that were supposed to be on the ship.

The only items that are not illegible from the blood are "Slaves - locked in the bilge of the ship" and "Bread and meat - loaded in the storage room"
Nelvik slowly looks up to Hunding after wiping his blade off "What makes you uneasy with me?" **nelvik slowly walks to Hunding with a small amount of what looks like a greenish smoke coming from his mouth** "You just beckoned to the death god and sliced a dark riders head plum off, and your uneasy with me? You humans have no idea what I've been through. The LAST thing I need to deal with is some psycho death lover to have a problem with how I was brought into this world!"
A shorter Dark haired young man in a hood runs up to the group as it gathers green sparks still crackling from his hands. He attempts to contain his awe at the power he has witnessed from the group so far and the rare dragonborn. He attempts to get a few words in from the outside without breaking into the conflict between the Dragonborn and the large man.
"With what happened to me and what you say, I think there little doubt we all have our reasons for wanting to destroy the monsters on that ship. I won't pretend we should all trust each other right now having just met, but we are going to be much more successful taking that boat together. Until that is done, I'm not sure I care why you all are here or if I'll be able to trust you later. We can worry about reasons and helping each other further after these scum have been wiped from the docks because they are damned well not getting away with something again today." He says in a dispassionate tone that slowly turns to a cold anger as he goes on.
Nelvik puts his hand over his heart and rubs it "Your right, I'm sorry. You and me have something in common. I'm not ready to talk about it. If I talk about it now I just might lose my faith. All you need to know is that I'm looking for a Necromancer. I'll join you all. I believe you could use a guardsman as myself. Top of my clan. Nelvik looks around Hello, my name is Nelvik, lets follow that turtle.
“I love the enthusiasm” Nedrick says to the new arrival.
Nedrick retrieves the lantern from his pack and draws his rapier.
”I am happy to light the way but I insist one of you more battle eager individuals take the lead. I would hate to stop you from enacting the revenge you seek.”

Curious of the human's ability to control magic, TT shape shifts into a tortoise and attempts to communicate with the illusion before her.
Turtle rests upon her head.
Nedrick steps forward holding the paper up with his left hand stepping in between Nelvik and Hunding.
Nedrick says, "As much as I would enjoy watching the two of you decide who has the bigger sword I do feel there are more pressing matters."
Nedrick turns the paper back to him and reads aloud.
"Slaves are locked in the bilge of the ship..."
Nedrick looks up at Hunding.
"Now I do not know what a bilge is but if you get me there I may be able to unlock it for you."
Easy now big fella. I don’t really care why you’re here. I am here to find my daughter. Why don’t we investigate this ship.
Stealing a glance at the paper in Nedrick's hand, and still in her shapeshifted form, TT slowly starts to make way for the [ship].
