The group gathers their purchases and heads towards a tavern in the Ikalat district. The find a tavern called the Firesea Foghorn.
From the outside it looks folksy, clean and delightful. Stacked stones and brass covered beams make up most of the building's outer structure. It's tough to see through the darkened windows, but the happiness and joy from within can be felt outside.
As you enter the tavern through the thick, metal door, you're welcomed by excitement and a pleasant atmosphere. The bartender is swamped in work, but still manages to welcome you with a friendly nod.
It's as charming inside as it is on the outside. Rounded, stone beams support the upper floor and the light fixtures attached to them. The walls are littered with all sorts of memorabilia, though whether they're collected or donated is uncertain..
The tavern itself is packed. Groups belonging to some kind of organization, whether sport, music or other you're not sure of, seem to be the primary clientele here, which often indicates great food. Several long tables are occupied by, what must be seperate groups who have bonded over great food and conversation. The other, smaller tables are also occupied by people who are probably starting to reach the point of having drunk too much, though nobody seems to mind. Even most of the stools at the bar are occupied, though nobody seems to mind more company.
The innkeeper looks at Nedrick and says "The cost is 2 gp per night, but the privy is for customers only! If you decide to be a customer then the privy is right down to the right, but if you don't buy and I catch you, I will report you to the guards."
A female Efferti barmaid approaches Mort and TT and gives him a sly wink and says "Certainly. My name is Midra if you need anything more." She then leaves to get the ales. Mort and TT approach a table in the center of the room. There are 4 people at the table, two effreti and 2 dwarves. Mort introduces himself and one of the efferti responds "Hello. Good to meet you. I am Barnard and this is my associate Rumlar. What brings you outsiders to this city?"
Nedrick is able to spot what appears to a male across the room that is gambling at a table. He seems to always bid a bit higher than everyone else and is constantly talking about his "large coin purse".
“My highly skilled companions and i have entered the city in hopes of making a little coin for ourselves. Were what you could call a troupe of free roaming problem solvers. Where theres a problem to be had, we solve it...”
*mort flashes a toothful grin*
...and then we hit the road.”
Mort rolls up his sleeves and casually looks around the room before turning back to table
”Tell me, what line of business are you gentlemen in?”
Barnard says "We are interplanar tradesman. We collect valuable items from other planes and bring them back to the City of Brass for high coin. Sometimes we are hired to find particular items, sometimes we just go to different planes and see what we can find."
Noticing it has been a while since TT has eaten and seeing the look on her face Rhaucred will attempt to wave down Midra, " Hello, oh yes mam. If you wouldn't mind it has been a while since my friend here has eaten, what kind of dinner could we get in this establishment?" Pats TT on the back gently, "Its going to be okay, we will get you something to eat."
Midra returns and gives Mort and TT their drinks (4 cp each). She then listens to Rhaucred and says "Well today we have Chestnut Bread and Bitter Cheese, Acorn Bread and Soft Cheese, Steamed Dragon and Artichoke, Salted Pheasant and Curd Cheese, and finally Boiled Eggs and Wheat Biscuits."
The innkeeper responds to Nedrick saying "We have three rooms remaining."
The innkeeper nods and says "That will be 18 gp and 9 cp for the rooms and the meal." After a few minutes, Nedrick's meal arrives and he begins to eat it. The taste is wonderful. The eggs are blue to the color, but have been flavored with a bit of salt which really brings out the flavor.
“interplanar tradesmen you say? what fantastic sights you must have seen. I can only imagine the adventures. how exactly does one fall into such an intriguing line of work?”
mort turns to mirda as she delivers the drinks.
”you are a saint among peasants. keep em coming if youd be so kind! ...hows the steamed dragon?”

“AHAHAHAHAhAHAH!!!!”
mort hysterically laughs at the vendor as he exits the shop, middle finger in the air.
Back in the company of his fellow men, mort expresses his distaste for the shop and its ludicrous price gouging...
”....we could finance a small kingdom with that kinda coin. HA! Bunch of boujie sons of...”
mort pulls out his flask and attempts to take a long swig but is reminded of the spilt wine from earlier.
”ugh, let us find a tavern for the night. i could use a drink and refuge from this blasted heat.”

I fancy some music while I enjoy my ale. Let me see if the bard is taking any requests.
Nedrick will approach the Innkeeper.
”Yes, how much per room and how many does each room sleep? Also would you have a privy close by?”
The innkeeper looks at Nedrick and says "The cost is 2 gp per night, but the privy is for customers only! If you decide to be a customer then the privy is right down to the right, but if you don't buy and I catch you, I will report you to the guards."
mort bursts into the tavern full of bravado, scanning the room for fellow scoundrels and vagabonds before joining a a rowdy table in the center.
”TT, this way!”
With a hand in the air, mort catches the eye of a barmaid
”Two ales if youd be so kind!”
mort turns back to the tabel
”boys! im mort and this is my dear friend TT.”
Nedrick scans the room for anyone who appears to look more affluent.
Perception: 18

"Food..." ( TT^TT )
"v hungry..."
Noticing it has been a while since TT has eaten and seeing the look on her face Rhaucred will attempt to wave down Midra, " Hello, oh yes mam. Nedrick smiles as he see's his mark for the night then turns to the innkeeper.
"How many rooms are remaining to be rented for the evening?", asks Nedrick.

Nedrick says, “I’ll take three rooms for three nights. I’ll also have a drink and some boiled eggs thank you so much.”
Nedrick will walk over and let the rest know lodging has been secured.
He will then eat his meal and drink next to the innkeeper and wait to see if someone comes in needing a room.
