With so many bad rolls I will say if add up the modifier of your rolls (not including any racial bonus) and end up with less than +2 you can either reroll (and live with it, even if worse) or take the standard array. Having some low rolls does make an interesting character though
Scores: 16 Str (+3), 12 Dex (+1), 15 Con (+2), 11 Int (+0), 5 Wis (-3), 13 Cha (+1)
Description/Personality: Extremely pale, light grey eyes with speckles of sky blue, wearing simple traveler’s clothes, wields a Morning Star and shield. Stern voice, but has slightly gentler speaking mannerisms, always has a plan before doing things that might be risky, always likes to weigh the odds, never taking unnecessary risks.
Backstory: Pretty standard, he lived on a mountain, becoming a priest, but one evening his god, ”Dunatis, God of mountains and peaks”, spoke to him, and told him that there are people in danger, and he needs to do the best he can to help them. More so not wanting to disappoint his god, than for the good of the people, he became a paladin and went away from the mountain, on a ’quest’ to help those he finds in need of aid.
If we chose to roll for our stats, are the stats locked to their associated position? I.E 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, = in order 1STR 2CON 3DEX or are we allowed to move them around?
Variant Human - Eldritch Knight (Inspiring Leader feat)
10816161110
(Personality) - Zack has an overall upbeat personality. While a bit sarcastic from time to time, he's generally good-natured, and wants to do what's right. Due to his belief that everyone has both good and evil within them, he can sometimes become disenfranchised due to people he thought he could trust, betraying him. Most of all, though, thanks to his former mentor in the army, that a person needs to have a dream, and to hold onto their pride as a soldier.
(Breif Backstory) - Unlike most, Zack has no tragic event that set his life into motion. He was a simple farmboy, born and raised. However, tales would always get to him of the glory, and honor of the soldiers - Looking up to them like they were heroes. Wantign to become someone who could inspire others, as he, himself, was inspired by those who came before, and thanks to his mentor, Zack is pursuing his dream, despite having lost faith in the army for reasons he can't quite seem to remember...
Description/Personality: Elric has fair skin, blue eyes, and brown hair. The rest of his body he keeps mostly hidden beneath a robe, but from what can be seen of his face, hands, and forearms, as well as just his general size, it can be inferred that he looks quite lanky and a bit awkward, his limbs seeming just a little too long, due to how thin they are. His general look is of someone who is extremely malnourished, though he may actually be fine. This is brought about by his far lower than average muscle mass, brought about by a genetic muscle wasting disease. Elric’s personality can often alienate himself from others, due to the often great intelligence gap between him and the one he is talking to. He also has a sometimes annoying tendency to rattle off information about something that has been mentioned, with perfect accuracy(unless the source he received it from was false), which can often be quite unnerving. He understands this problem, and tries his best to fix it, but it sometimes happens without him even noticing. His slight stutter doesn't help.
Backstory: Elric’s case was not a common one. Quite a rare one, in fact. He estimated the percentage of people born with his condition was between zero point oh oh one five and zero point oh oh six percent. But even rare cases have some victims, or else they wouldn't exist. Elric was one such victim. As a young child he was able to walk, though he would be quickly winded after an amount of exercise that would be considered trivial to many others. As he grew older, his condition worsened, and his muscles had wasted away to the point of him being unable to walk without a cane to assist him. His condition prevented him from working, but that doesn't mean he didn't put his time to good use. You see, while he may have been physically weak, Elric was mentally quite strong. Scarily so, in fact. He owed much of this ability to another condition, one far rarer than his other. He could recall everything he had heard, seen, smelled, touched, or tasted perfectly(yes I know eidetic memory doesn't exist, but I mean, neither does magic. At least the space wizards which control the government want us to think that…)Each and every moment of his life was captured, filed away, and preserved for later examination. Even the things he didn't want to remember. When his mother grew sick and died when he was thirteen, he was forced to live through it again and again. The feeling of utter helplessness, the crushing grief he felt, all relived day after day, each time the emotions as raw and as fresh as the day he first experienced them, clutching her hand, standing by her deathbed. After his mother’s death, Elric needed to make himself useful, or else they might find themselves without a house. The head librarian at the local library offered to hire him to work there, for not too shabby pay. After that, Elric spent his days cataloging and shelving, and his evenings going through book after book, devouring information like an otyugh does shit. The head librarian, Artus Lewinn, was a retired Mage, of some renown. These days he didn't use his talents for much besides getting books on high shelves. But when Elric requested to be apprenticed under him, he was not surprised. The boy had been eyeing him for quite some time now, but hadn't yet worked up the courage to ask him. He was actually quite a bright boy, a prodigy really. He was sure that Elric would surpass him in no time. Elric trained under Artus for some time, and progressed quickly. He was on the path to becoming just as potent a magic user as Artus, possibly even more so. But then, just a week after his eighteenth birthday, there was an accident at the mine where his father worked. Some clambered out of the rubble. Not his father. And just like that, the last tie he had to that little town was broken. He had no reason to stay anymore. He didn't want to stay anymore. There were too many things there which would trigger his memory, and once again bring forth those horrible memories which he could not forget. He departed not a week afterward, only carrying his spellbook, his research, his cane, a small knife, and the clothes on his back.
