Melnar draws his hand crossbow silently and aims for the cultist to the right. His familiar hugging close to the ground as it scurries off to the side to circle around their flank. The crystal hanging from his crossbow glows and dark aura surrounds his target just before the purple light of Eldritch Blast flies across the small clearing.

As they both initiate their attacks, Erevan flings his hand forth to hurl the readied Fire Bolt to the middle cultist, the leader. Erevan focuses on casting the spell in the sense of aiming toward the cultist's lower body as not to kill them on impact.
Gromar prepares to retaliate on K3, letting its blade slide down the length of his glaive after parrying, he spins the haft and slashes at it's mid-section.
Attack: 23 Damage: 18
Seeing his attack land successfully, Gromar will quickly close the distance to K5, attempting to impale him on the end of his glaive.
Night Wine stands swiftly from hiding and sends an arrow flying at the cultist, piercing him through the throat. The cultist staggers back and falls into the bushes behind him. Melnar takes careful aim after whispering the hex on the other cultist and fires. The beam from the weapon streaks across the ground and takes the cultist full in the back and burns a hole though him. he screams in pain and drops to the ground in a heap. Erevan's spell flies at the last cultist and removes one of his legs at the hip. The smell of charred flesh fills the area as the cultist falls unconscious. A soft popping sound is heard and stones appear around the bodies. (Party 2 gets to add 30 gems to your stash.)
Rha'El shakes off the minuscule damage from the throne rocks and gallops majestically over to the next tiny kobold. As he passes by him he makes a slash with his greatsword.

Party 1:
Gromar decides that K3 would look better at half its current size and cuts the kobold in half. He misjudges his attack as he moves to K5 and misses by a wide margin.
Rha'el forgets that he has a kobold on his back as he goes after the rock slinger. {Rolling a d20 on the crit fumble table : 5 }He stumbles and breaks one of his health potions that drips out and runs down his side. His skin absorbs some of the potion and heals him for 17 .
Kobolds turn to attack:
K4 stabs Rha'el in the back again.
K4 Attack on Rha'el: 8 K4 Damage: 3
K5 drops his sling and draws the dagger to stab Gromar.
K5 Attack on Gromar: 18 K5 Damage: 5
K6 see Gromar stumbling and slings a stone at him.
K6 Attack on Gromar: 21 K6 Damage: 3
K6's stone smacks Gromar in the side of the head and causes him to stumble and get missed by K5. K4 misses Rha'el and stabs himself in the shoulder. He yelps with pain and falls off and takes 1 as he hits the ground. His head smashes into a rock and cracks his skull open.
Once the cultists are dispatched, Erevan rushes down to the Cultist Leader. With his Sabre still in hand, Erevan approaches the Unconscious cultist and kick its weapon away. Erevan then kneels down and begins to search his body for anything that may give more insight on their goals and motive, as well as any general loot.
Gromar feels a solid crack on the side of his head after missing his lunge at the kobold. He gathers himself for another attack and slashes across K5's chest.
Attack: 8 Damage: 3
If K5 dies with the attack, Gromar will follow up by rushing K6 with an additional attack.
Erevan finds 12 silver and 21 cp on each of the 3 cultist (total of 36 silver and 63 copper). He is not able to find any important documents about what the cultist is doing attacking the town.
Stashing the money away, he also slides his Sabre back into his sheathe. He looks around to see if Night Wine and Melnar are coming down or not. While looking around, he pulls out a Potion of Healing (Greater) and drinks it to regain 10 health points.
After healing himself, he surveys the area to see if they're anymore cultists around.
Erevan is not able to see any more cultist close by, but tracks on the ground show that many have been through the area. Here and there among the tracks of kobolds and cultist, large clawed footprints can be seen with a thin unbroken wavy line can be seen.

Melnar approaches Erevan and the cultist while the familiar continues to survey the area, checking for sounds and smells specifically. As he gets closer he looks at the cultist leader. "Anything useful on this one? And are they still alive?"
Erevan looks over to Melnar once he finishes peering down at the tracks. "They only had a bit of coin on them, nothing else to indicate their purpose here. This one is still alive, we should take him back to the keep for questioning. Do you have any rope to apprehend him with?"
Erevan hooks his hand underneath the left arm of the cultist to hoist his upper body off the ground. "Want to grab his other arm?" Erevan asks Melnar to assist him in dragging him. Erevan looks over to Night Wine. "Melnar and I will take him back. Want to scout ahead to see where these tracks lead? We can regroup here for a briefing." Erevan suggests to them both.
[OOC: Smitty is with Rha'el and Gromar. He is not able to give Guidance to Night Wine. He is also knocked out thanks to a crit Fumble from Gromar.]
Night Wine is able to follow the tracks towards the Keep. He is able to determine this is part of the force surrounding the Keep. Once he sees this he turns and makes his way back to the tunnel entrance to the keep. Melnar and Erevan carry the unconscious cultist back to the tunnel and into the keep where the Governor has some of his men take the cultist to a room to revive and question him.
Gromar attacks disembowels K5 and the little form collapses on the spot. His second attack slashes K6 across the chest. K6 turns after seeing all his friends get decimated and flees from the group. As he dashes away he pulls out something and a bright flash of light blinds Gromar and Rha'el preventing them from following. Stones pop into existence. Near where the kobolds had been when Gromar, Rha'el and Smitty had came upon them, they find a small pouch with 90 silver coins in it and a sealed letter from the Governor. As they are gathering their stuff, they see a small band of townsfolk come out of the nearby house. Rha'el trots over majestically and offers them safe passage into the keep. They set off after getting Smitty to his feet and get back to the tunnel. Once they are back in the keep Night Wine patches everyone back to full health with his bow.
After about 30 minutes (one hour after setting out) the governor returns from questioning the cultist.As he is about to speak a guard rushes up shouting that the Sally Port has been breached. He turns to the Party and ask them to assist the guards and the dwarf at the Sally Port to drive back the cultist.
Night Wine takes his advice and takes aim at the one on the left.
