Night Wine and Argie slip through the brush and rocks dotting the land. They come upon one of the ambush area's that the kobold described and see that there is nothing hiding here. Erevan, riding Rha'el with the kobold, murmurs information to Rha'el about the area. Nightwine and Argie move on ahead towards the next location. After searching slowly across several likely spots. Argie spots a blue creature surrounded by several other creatures and humans. At the same time Night Wine spots a large Red creature surrounded by several humans and other creatures. Erevan and Night Wine will recognize these creatures as half dragons. It seems each half dragon seems to have about 8 creatures with them. A couple of the creatures on each team seem to be standing guard and watching the back trail, hidden in bushes and rocks above the trail left from the hoard. Looking over the cultist, it can been seen that they are dressed in matching black leather with white ruffles.
Night Wine and Argie return to the party to discuss the ambush.
"They seem to be in separate groups so we should advance to one at a time and just work our way up the chain. I saw another blue half-dragon. I'm eager to see how they'd fare now given that I've acquired this." Erevan peers down to his Moonblade with a gleam in his eyes.
"We need to carefully plan our next move, everyone. I was able to see a Red Half-Dragon with 8 subordinates. If we choose to take them on it is possible that it could be too much for us. So if choose to do so, we will need to strike swiftly and without mercy. But we can search away around in case no one wants to take them on."
"We'll be able to flank them once more. Catman from the left, Birdman from the right. Horseman and I from the rear. If anyone would have information, it would be the half-dragon. We'll dispatch the subordinates and subdue the half-dragon for interrogation."
"If worse comes to worst and we need to withdraw, I will try to lay down a gust of wind to drive them backward. Otherwise, let us be about our business." The birdman clacks his spurs together a few times in anticipation.
(OOC): Didn't realize they were grouped together. I was under the impression each half-dragon had a separate group in two different locations. I'm retconning Erevan's plan.
"There's a large group that has the company of two half-dragons. Ambushing them may not fare well for us. Following them to their camp and attacking them when they're off-guard would grant us an opportunity to dwindle their battalion. Catman and I will stalk them as they traverse to their destination. Horseman and Birdman, you can stay further back."
(OCC: Squares are 5 foot each. The road is 15 foot lower that the area's that the rear guard is waiting. Going to need to put this campaign on hold due to work)
"Perhaps I can create a distraction and draw the majority away? If none of them can take flight, I should be able to harass them from the air safely and feign falling a little ways off to draw their predatory instincts. If we are lucky, they may split up. It would just be a question of who to ambush, those I bait out or those that remain." The heronman shrugs. "I defer to the group, either way."
Erevan nods to Heronmark, grasping his moonblade firmly while pondering their next move. "You shouldn't go alone, Birdman. Horseman should accompany you. Catman and I will handle the other party. Once their guard is split, we strike." Erevan suggests as he paces ahead. He's quite eager to unleash his fury on more half-dragons.
