On the way, Gilly relays what he learned from Ishmael the night before concerning the missing fishermen and the "sea devils". He beefs up the tale a little for dramatic effect, but the truth is in there.
When Gilly tells of his discussion with Ishmael Zin's normally cheerful demeanor darkens as he mentions the "sea devils".
"Sahuagin, he speaks of the sahuagin. They are sea devils. Every sea elf knows the evils of that wretched race."
When they arrive at their destination Zin stays to the back keeping a lookout.
"It's time to be a professional bunch of lads, able to turn their hands to anything, for the right price of course." Vhon mutters to the rest of the group "And try not to break anything."

Zephyr would nod to the captain before quickly casting gust in the hopes of taming his somewhat unruly hair from the night before. After a moment of messing with his hair, he would follow behind the others, making sure to keep his hands in his pockets.
Gilly notices one stubborn section of fur that it still standing on end on the back of Zephyr's head, so he runs a moist palm (his blue skin is always moist) down the back of the tabaxi's skull, trying to tame the unruly fur. When Zephyr looks at him, Gilly simply shrugs.
"Thanks buddy" The tabaxi would say with a smile as he reaches back and feels the flat wet section of hair. Zeph would wince a bit as his hand hits the slick spot but would shake it off with a smile and continue inside. "So what's the job!?" Zephyr would ask quickly and excitedly before composing himself a bit.. I mean.. umm.. Captain wants to know what him and his crew can do for ya." He would say with a quick head nod to the captain.

As the party is ushered inside by the major-domo/butler, they see that standing in a magnificent well furnished foyer with a marble floor and like most buildings in the town, the decor is distinctly nautical in theme with large oil paintings of ships sailing through storms, fighting off invasions by Sea Devils or Sahuagin, etc,
As the party are staring around staring around at the art and other decor, the major-domo says "the young Lord will be down shortly!'"as he heads off up the double staircase that dominates the foyer. Shortly after this, the young man who has a darkish tinge to his skin, brown hair and dark eyes comes down the steps and walks up to. "Ah, Floki son of Ærik and Zeph, good to see you. Who are you companions?"Without waiting for a response, he continues "I need a old house, about four mile out of town, looked into! Are you up for the job?"

"Well, this talkative bunch of gentlemen have got through most things between them but maybe just to be clear, what exactly does looked into mean, we can investigate of course but if you are looking for something in particular it would help us to know. Renumeration is of course of great importance to poor souls like us, perhaps you could give an indication of what you'd be willing to pay for our findings. Any other information is obviously appreciated about the house and its surroundings, as you know we are new here so wouldn't like to do anything wrong which might lead to you having to explain why you had us go snooping around." Vhon gives a small shrug, almost as a "this is the world we live in" type gesture. "Oh and my name is Vhon Cedark, former Captain of the Cobalt Conveyer, it is my pleasure to meet you."

"Oh and my name is Vhon Cedark, former Captain of the Cobalt Conveyer, it is my pleasure to meet you."
"Captain Cedark, the pleasure is all mine I can assure you," the young man says reaching forward with a hand outstretched.“Anders Solmor" he introduces himself "you describe yourself as the former captain, may I ask you what happened to your ship?”
“As to the house, why do I want it looked at? Well, I am led to believe it might be being used as a base for Northmen slavers - a scourge on these isles - from Ruathym. As to remuneration, let me turn that question back on you Captain. How much do you think you and your crew are worth?”he finishes with.
"My ship sits under the waves on the coast of the island not far from here - we were taken on the rocks after a strange storm a few nights ago. It came from nowhere, it seemed to us to be magical in nature and we had no time to avoid it, the Blue was sunk, but fortunately we all managed to make it to the shore, and found the town the next day. I have traded many things in my life, but those who traffic in other people are scum of the earth and i will have nothing to do with them, if there are slavers there I will be glad to inform you and happy to be part of a group that goes back to remove them.
This leads us to payment, I will not ask for a price now, it may be that we find an old house derelict and empty, if so then I will not trouble you for more than a few coins to pay for our food and lodgings for a short while but if we do encounter something then our value may need to be proven, information costs something, a lot of dead slavers costs more, what service do you need performed?"

In response to Vhron's statements, Anders says "I am sad to hear that your ship sank but it is good that you all escaped with your lives. As to the information I need, there are two things. a) is the house really being used as a slavers' base; and if so b) what, if any connections do the slavers have in Llandrain. Given the close proximity of the house, if it really is a slavers' base, I suspect that they must have some connections with somebody here in town."
Zephyr would nod along and at the mention of payment... he would place his clawed finger to his mouth for a moment. A second later the tabaxi would mutter to himself quietly as he looks away from the man and casts dancing lights, summoning blue, yellow, and white colored orbs to circle around him before a slight gust of wind blows up from below the tabaxi, causing his hair and clothing to flutter as the light spins around him. Zephyr would allow this to happen for a second or two before putting on a pretend annoyed face and dismissing the effects with a wave of his hand. "Oh.. sorry about that... I mean.. I am just so powerful that sometimes these effects just happen... we are all super powerful really.. I mean honestly a crew with our skills is worth a great deal of coin" He would say nudging the captain with his elbow as he tried to help the captain negotiate the best price. At the mention of waiting for payment however, Zeph would physically deflate a bit in disappointment as his shoulders dropped.. almost as far as his jaw.
Zeph, suddenly the number of orbs circling around your head double. Where once there was a single blue, white & yellow orb spinning around your head each seems to split and yellow one is circling the blue one, whilst a white one circles the yellow and a blue one circles the white.
"My first mate is correct, people of our talents are worth a great deal - for this type of work we'd be looking at 100 danter(gp?) as a starting price, further costs based on escalation of the original premise to be negotiated in good faith before the act if possible or as soon after if not. If we can find compelling evidence of a local involvement then I would be looking for a bonus to at least double our initial fee. If we have to kill a large armed force of slavers, the fee may increase too. Boys, Lord Solmor, can we say we have a deal?" Vhon pauses "Hang on a minute Zeph are those all yours?" He looks suspiciously at Anders as the balls float and spin.
