11As Zeph and Zin step into the room the bones seem to animate [DM rolls - 7, 9, 17, 6, 9, 12 & 5 / 7 which means that four of what Zeph and Zin can see are six animated skeletons wearing scraps of armour and waving rusty shorts words have the drop on. Zinleth who because of his training appears to have been more alert sees them coming and is able to assume a defensive stance. (OOC - Initiative = Zinleth, Skeleton #1, Skeleton #3, Skeleton #4, Skeleton#6, Zephyr, Skeleton #2 & Skeleton #5).
Zin and Zeph you’re surrounded as two of the skeletons came from the wall where the door was.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
So the way I see it Zin is fighting the two (#5 & #6) attacking from the rear while Zeph is fending off the attacks of the four in front (#1, #2, #3 & #4)
As Zeph and Zin are standing back to back there is no advantage to the Skeletons from flanking.
"Zeph!" Gilly yells as his friend collapses under the attacks of the skeletons.
When he can act (by the way, it's pretty bizarre that all of our characters, save Zin, can speak Primordial):
Gilly's skin darkens a shade, and he glares at the skeletons standing over Zeph. To Zin, he says in Primordial, "May the boundless flowing magic of the sea grant you suffocating force for vengeance." And while Zin has no idea what Gilly just said, he feels inspired. While he is speaking, the firbolg draws his crossbow, aims at one of the skeletons who attacked Zeph and fires from the doorway to punctuate his blessing.
Bonus: Bardic inspiration to Zin (1d6 for 10 minutes to one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw)
Crossbow attack vs. whichever of the three skeletons that took down Zeph that is a clear shot: 21; damage: 8 piercing damage
Floki, Gilly and Vhon can act at end of round. Please all roll initiative and let me know so I can place you in the order for Round 2. Zeph and Zin are as at Round 1.

Round 1
Moving to the doorway Vhon takes in the scene quickly and draws from the power inside him, feeling as he does a surge of contentment from the fey in his head. The skeletons further away from the group all start to glow with a flickering faerie fire as the magic washes over them, flames of sea green running up and down them making them easier to hit.
Casts Faerie Fire - The intention is to hit the four skeletons' who attacked Zeph (this will also light up Zeph) but not catch any of the party in the area so I'm not going to get the other two, if that would be possible then obviously I would like to do that, but not at the expense of making our own team easier to hit!
Round 2
Crossbow still in hand Vhon aims at the skeleton who just attacked Zin who I don't think would have the fire on him. If he does I'll be happy for the DM to roll it. "Back off pasty!"
Attack 23 for 8 piercing damage.

Vhon - Level 2 Warlock - What shall become of the Drunken Sailor?
As Vhon drops Skeleton #6, Floki spins around slashing with his axes and grinning maniacally. His first attack hits (10) Skeleton #1 and drops it. Looking for another target he lines up (1) he lines up Skeleton #2 and sinks his axe deep into its shoulder blades. Failing to drop it he yells to the others "these beasties have got tougher bones than others I've fought!"
Zin takes the opportunity of Floki's attack to also attack Skeleton 2 thrusting with his rapier deep into one of its eye sockets but it is insufficient to stop the skeleton.
Skeleton #3 then attacks (1-2 Floki or 3-4 Zeph) [2] Floki (Attack: 14 Damage: 3) but Floki nimbly dodges to one side as the skeletons short sword flashes toward his rib cage.
Gilly you're up. (OOC: as DDP is travelling I will act for Gilly). Gilly takes one look at the crowded space and pulls out his Light Crossbow. He aims at Skeleton #2 which is bathed in the light from Vhon's [Spell]Faerie Fire[\Spell] and (Attack: 10 Damage: 10) and the Skeleton now has a crossbow bolt sticking out of its other eye-socket. With a clatter of bones it collapses to the ground.
Skeleton #4 then stabs at (1-2 Floki or 3-4 Zeph) [3] (Attack: 6 Damage: 8) but the strike is wild.
Those watching Zeph see an upwelling of blood from the wounds on the Tabaxi's chest.
Skeleton #5 then attacks (1-2 Floki or 3-4 Zeph) [1] Zeph (Attack: 12 Damage: 3) but as with its compatriot's attack on Floki the skeleton's strike is slow and telegraphed and Zin easily steps out of its way.

Zeph is regretting life decisions.... I had hoped the zooming lights would have prompted the skeletons to rise before walking in. OH WELL :P
