"Well my friend here is doing a fine job of showing the quality of our wares and I think you can see it is worth more than 200 a bale, let's have think about a fairer price, bearing in mind the opportunity you have here. This is your chance to make a small fortune from the bad luck that saw our ship go down. I'm a person who likes to look on the positives in life, I'm alive and in the company of my friends and though we lost our ship we will bounce back, so I'm tempted to offer this to you at the bargain price of 275 a bale. The difference to you could be a pittance compared to the money you could make and it would mean a lot to us in getting ourselves back on track. What do you say, can we call it a deal at 275 a bale?" Vhon spits on his palm and offers it to the shopkeeper smiling warmly, the very picture of honesty and humility.

I've put in advantage for Zeph's help, if it doesn't count then please use the first number.

Winston looks at the four bales, he opens one just a bit to see how much water damage has occurred. He finally turns to Vhron, spits on his palm and takes Vhron's hand "275 Danter a bale it is then!" He then disappears into the back room and shortly afterwards comes back with a leather pouch which he gives to Vhron. As he does so he is tapping his left finger against his nose, "it should be all there but count it if you wish and if you come across anything else let me know?" Vhron takes the pouch and has a quick look inside, her can see it is mostly Rolden (PP) but there is also a lot of Danter (GP) as well as at what looks like about 20 gemstones.
Coin break up
75 Rolden = 750 GP 100 Danter = 100 GP 20 small gemstones of differing values = 250 GP

Zephyr's eyes would go wide seeing the coins and gems exchange hands. After wiping the drool from the corner of his mouth with the back of his furry hand, he would quickly bounce out the door behind Vhron. "Captain got us a great deal lads!" He would exclaim as he slaps the captain on the shoulder. "Now let's get some drinks and figure out our next move right captain?" The tabaxi would say with a wide smile.
Floki grins. "Well done captain! Bringing the goods once again." He pauses for a moment, "Well so to speak! haha." he then turns in the direction of the tavern,"Time to wet the throat with some ale! Offer still stands and the first round is on me."
"I'll take ya up on that offer friend" Zephyr would say with a smile. The tabaxi would bounce down the road with his black fur shimmering I'm the breeze as he makes his way to the snapping line. Once there the tabaxi would walk in and look around the place, scanning the room before taking a seat at an empty table.
"A pleasure doing business with you, and possibly the start of a new friendship" Vhon says touching his left forefinger to his nose as he does. "I will remember your kindness, see you around." Vhon leaves the shop with the payment held close, a genuine smile playing out across his face. As the get outside "Good job Zeph, I think you really helped clinch the deal. Well lads we've done a little better so Floki won't have to spend all his coin getting the drinks in. Mine's a rum today, I think I may as well hit the ground running! Let's get ourselves settled in, find a couple of rooms and we can divvy up the pot, I'd rather not start doing it here in the street." With a spring in his step Vhon heads off towards town.

Eventually the party reaches 'The Snapping Line' and led by Vhron make their way inside. The tavern is like many they have been in - some of which they have remembered well and others less so - over their careers and is crowded with both sailors, longshoremen and other townfolk. There is long bar at which some people are sitting, or standing as is their want, as well as several tables. As they enter the Inn a young woman with chestnut hair - with reddish highlights - and clear blue eyes comes up to them "what is your preference lads?"

Floki grins, "What do you say lads? Time to let off some steam? Clear our heads of that wretched song?" No matter what the crew says, Floki turns to the young woman. "A round of ale and a bottle of rum, if you would be so kind."
"Time to make a new friend," Gilly grins. He scans the room for either a lone individual or an amiable couple who he thinks might make for some good conversation.

"Coming right up!" After a few minutes she comes back with five mugs of ale and pitcher of something. She places the mugs of ale on the table and the pitcher down as well "sorry we don't have any rum but this local drink we call claw wine is about the closest I can manage. That'll be four taran (SP) all up."
"Time to make a new friend,"Gilly grins. He scans the room for either a lone individual or an amiable couple who he thinks might make for some good conversation.
As he looks around the room, Gilly spots a grizzled old sailor drinking alone at the bar and at another table a young well dressed individual seems to be holding court.

Zeph would grab a drink and nod to Floki. "Thanks mate! I think a drink is exactly what we need right now" The tabaxi would say with a grin. As the woman goes to leave after bringing the drinks, Zeph would gently place his hand on her arm. "Excuse me, but do you all have any kind of... board or sign... that might provide job offers to men such as ourselves?" The tabaxi would say gesturing to the group with his mug of ale. "Some of the ports we have visited in the past would have a place where people post job listings and didn't know if there happened to be one around"
Gilly takes a seat at the bar next to the man, takes a drink, and releases an audible sigh of delight. "This sure hits the spot," he comments, examining the outside of his mug. "Something wet and refreshing after a long walk carrying cargo." He gives the man a sidelong glance. "Is this just a stopover, or is this your home?"
Vhon looks out as the group settle in, eyeing the claw wine slightly suspiciously he takes a small drink, not sure what to expect but doubting it could be worse than some of the local brews he has encountered over the years. "Probably better to not ask how it got it's name" he mutters to himself. The room seems to quieten and a feeling of unease comes over the half elf as he knows what is coming, then the voice slides like a river through his mind "You know you have all the coins? You could make an excuse and be away without them being suspicious, they would be slow to chase you and we could hide in the wilds until they lose interest... Or leave the gems and the other riches and walk away from it all - the land will provide for you, I will help you." Tense while the voice whispers into his heart Vhon shivers a little as it goes quiet but he can still feel the lingering presence waiting. "I will do neither, leave me in peace, I ask nothing from you do I, I barely even use those powers, our bargain gave us each a little, but why do you always push for more?" He drinks again from the claw wine, pushing the voice away for now through his mental fortitude. The noise of the tavern seems to pick up again as the voice recedes but Vhon thinks he hears a quiet voice whisper "because we could be so much more..."

Zin orders a claw wine and settles in at the table the group sits at.
"A meal also for me. Whatever you have ready is fine. Do you have rooms here or can you recommended a place in town?"
He listens with interest about a job board or work. He could fish if needed but better paying work may be found.
