As the group pulls up to the building point out by Sildar, they see that it is a large structure for this town, even though they've just arrived. As they walk in they see it is a trading post with shelves upon shelves of backpacks, bedrolls, rope, rations and just about any other gear needed for almost any trade, minus weapons and armor. When they party enters, tired, bruised, and bloody, a lean and balding human male shopkeeper of fifty years approaches from behind a counter. You can also see what looks like two young clerks in aprons tending the store.
The shopkeeper addresses the group: "Hello? It seems like you are coming off of a rough road. Well, welcome to Barthen’s Provisions. My name is Elmar, how can I help you?"
"Good day to you, sir. We have indeed had a difficult journey, but we have successfully arrived with a load from Rockseer. I assume you were expecting us, yes?", says Sylric as he shuffles about picking up and inspecting various wares.
”Ah! Yes! Yes! I have indeed!” He turns to his clerks “Ander, Thistle, go outside and get the supplies off of the cart and into the storeroom so we can sort them.” The two clerks rush outside to do as they’re told.
Elmar turns back to you. “So glad you made it. I’ll get your payment. Where is Gundren by the way?”
Elmar frowns as he hands each of you 10gp. “This is terrible! Please go find him! Gundren is a friend and I can’t stand the thought of him in goblin hands! You mention his brothers? Last I knew Nundro and Tharden are camped somewhere outside town. I haven’t seen them in a tenday but I expect them back any time to resupply.”
" Do you know of any temples to Tymora in the village? I think Sister Garaele may have some insight for us...it may help, yes. These filthy goblins must be punished for what they have done...filthy Maglubiyet..."
“Temple? No, no temple but we do have a shrine to Tymora, the Shrine of Luck in fact, and it is tended by Sister Garaele. The shrine is in the town square across from the inn. Her house is just to the left of the shrine. She’s been traveling in and out of town lately, but she might be there.”
"By Moradin's beard we need to go find Gundren afore his brothers find out he is missing!" Cormac says as he slams his hands together. "If not ye can believe me those two well never shuttin up about it."
"Yes yes, a shrine, yes...that will do, sir...", Sylric says as he begins to mindlessly shuffle toward the door. "We will likely see you again, sir, for provisions, yes?...for our mission to Cragmaw Castle. True true...", something catches his eye before he makes it to the exit and he wanders off to investigate.
Suddenly Sylric seems to come to and rushes back to the group.
"Why don't some return the goods we found to Lionshield Coster and others attempt to make contact with the good sister. We can meet back here to collect our supplies and be on our way.", he blurts out then rushes toward the door.
Yes. He will take them back and when entering will find the owner: "We found these in a Goblin cave, the goblins were ambushing (insert road here) and we tracked them back and among other things found your supplies. The goblins won't be bothering anyone else now. Any missed shipments are hopefully here and no more should happen"
