"A gem? Like this?" She asks; she actually has a single blue cabochon on her outfit. "I suppose you mean legendary magic gems; there are lots of tales. A blood red ruby owned by a vampire, a sapphire deeper blue than the deepest seas guarded by an ancient beast, an emerald that could cure poison, or inflict it; many others in our tales. Could you be more specific?"
The gems we seek are indeed those of legend she speaks of! The first we seek is the ruby of the vampire Gulthias; the story goes that he was staked to death with wood that was still green, which sprouted into a twisted tree barren of leaves! We are headed to the cave where that tree still grows in lightlessness.
“Alright! Let’s move, then!”Delmyth exclaims, sprinting down the path before stopping abruptly and returning. She turns to Pratchett. “Oh, right. You probably know where it is better than we do.”
Audett waves goodbye, and she and her ox continue heading in the direction of the capital.
Well then, lets go! I suppose I should answer some questions while we walk, you know a little about the gems now, do you have any other questions about other things?
(Dollus knows that it is the festival of the Fertile Goddess, a deity of the local people.)
We will keep each gem safe; we must collect five in total. The young woman told you about three; there is also a jet darker than night in the possession of the Ogre of the Mountain, and a pearl that shines with light, hidden in a shrine. About the emerald, it is said that it is in the possession of a great green dragon.
But for now, we should focus on the ruby, as it is close at hand! Pratchett begins walking again, certain that you will follow.
"I'm not sure the vampite is that much dead, by the stories of that women, it or something that came off it may be what's attacking the cattle around here"
Dollus gasps, struck with realisation. "Of course, the Festival of Fertile Goddess!"
He hurries his steps to match Pratchett with the others, and goes to speak... but changes his mind upon hearing their topic of conversation, "Absolutely. If we're going down this route, wouldn't it be more werewolves who attack livestock? I hope this doesn't affect the festival... Have you been before? How about you, Pratchett?" His concern melts into excitement, "I love all the food, and it's all kinda cheap, it's great! All sorts of adventurers come through and tells stories at the taverns - a tiefling bought me an ale once!"
“What’s a tiefling? Are they some kind of elf or whatever?”Greyson asks. “You has ever to remember, I’m not from here. I was born and raised in a much more technologically advanced world, but one with out magic or whatever.”
"Hm, not really... They're people that look cursed... or demonic; sometimes hooves, or horns, usually odd-coloured skin... Actually they seem pretty cool. The one that gave me a drink made a really good joke!"
Dollus listens to where Greyson is from. His eyes squint as he tries to imagine, "Huh, is that like cogs and pulleys? You have a lot of mechanical lifts and elevators? And tall structures, I guess?"
"Magic... I do read it hear it makes some amazing things. Around here, it usually just used to light things, sent some messages, make a spark for a fire, heal a little wound. I guess until today... THAT was magic!" Dollus places his hand on the centre of his chest where he calls his power with a smile on his face.
"We've harnessed the power of lighting, fire, and other forces of nature like the ocean to power our homes and vehicles. We have vehicles that can fly through the sky like a bird, for hours on end. We can use the building blocks of the universe to wreak cataclysmic destruction on an area, and render it uninhabitable for eons, via that fact the residue of the weapon used will tear away at the bodies of living beings that enter an affected area. We have the capability to go past the clouds, to explore beyond our home world. Our buildings can become so tall, you can look DOWN at the clouds. I guess you could call it similar to cogs and gears..." Greyson replied. "Can we get going? The day's not getting any younger." He then starts walking towards where they need to go.

"Pratchett. Are these the gems we're looking for, the one held by a vampire, ancient sea beast and such?" Greyson asks the sapient pseudodragon.
The gems we seek are indeed those of legend she speaks of! The first we seek is the ruby of the vampire Gulthias; the story goes that he was staked to death with wood that was still green, which sprouted into a twisted tree barren of leaves! A tree, huh? I know a cat that protects a tree... Shabaka snickers. But we best take that Cabochon from you, shouldn’t we? Please? To save the world?

Audett refuses, "It was a gift from my dearly departed mother; I won't be parted with it."
“Alright! Let’s move, then!” Delmyth exclaims, sprinting down the path before stopping abruptly and returning. She turns to Pratchett. “Oh, right. You probably know where it is better than we do.”

“How powerful is this vampire? Could we handle him now with our new forms?”

Pratchett laughs, Well, the vampire was staked to death about a century ago, so hopefully he won't be much of an issue!
Dollus snaps out of his daydream as he nibbled on a bit of dried food and took a couple of mouthfuls of water.
He sighs after packing his things away, "Fibbles. I was going to ask her about that festival..."
Adjusting his pack, signifying being ready to carry on, he asks, "What was that about the gems? I remember hearing a story or two..."

((Does Dollus know the festival the woman was going to? And would Dollus provide any more insight to the legends said? Or the gems locations?))
Question: what happens to the Gems after we save them? Do we keep them for safe keeping? And what’s the story behind the green one she mentioned?
