The sky is clear as you head out the morning breeze meets you as you travel towards fer. You pass a few patrols on the road. 3 days pass uneventful. On the morning just before dawn on the forth day you are awakened by the sound of horses and the ring of steel against steel. followed by the battle cries of what can only be goblins.
Ok you guys go to check out what is happening brandy and ricavor head east to the sound of battle as ulwin disappears into the brush heading south
you all see several halfling on large armored dogs riding up the hill on the other side of the road and 2 men on horses barking out orders to the troops. on the other side you see several goblins shooting arrows and charging on worgs into the fray the battle seems pretty evenly matched. The banners and shield standards are of brandy's order.
Ulwin will fire his bow from his hidden position at the goblin leader nearest to him. I got a 16+4 for 20 to hit and 5+2 +4 for sneak attack for 11 damage.
the 2 attacks are enough to leave an opening for the paladin to run it through as his mounts jaws tear what little life is left out of its body it is dead.

you will be working for the church on this mission not for the crown and gives you papers stating such
The river is the boundary between this kingdom and the one to the south as is the mountain range a boundary to another kingdom on the other side
Fer is the only ferry across the river it will have basic supplies ( yes including my chilli, cheese and house specialty brown eggs and ham)
The marsh should be ok with mounts (considered difficult terrain 1/3 movement)
the kingdoms are on friendly terms and borders for the most part are open

Brandy says, "Let's go check it out." At that time Brandy will pull out his bow and wait to see what his crew wants to do.
Ricavor will cast Mage Armor on himself bringing his AC to 16. He then prepares Ray of Frost for the first Goblin he sees. Initiative- 15
Ulwin will ready his bow and agree "let's see what is going on" and head towards the sound of battle but will use his stealth. Stealth roll 18
Gentlemen, I started a day job as a case manager at City Union Mission. Don, when you post stuff, I may not get to it until evening.
Ulwin will try to sneak up to see what is going on, Sneak roll 20, what does he see?

ok ulwin is able to hit the one at L8 at 80 feet just within range killing it
brandy lets an arrow fly strikeing an unprotected area in the worgs hind quarter the worgs cry is drowned out by the yell of Leo Cor
Dave lets loose a ray of blue/white light from his fingertips 10 stirking the worg for 7 points
