Rubbing his eyes, Jake grumbles to himself, “Don’t need the visual. Simple yes would have worked.” Turning to Del, Jake looks at this younger, weirdly excited man and says, “Well if you want to, sounds like something I could help with. Looking at those two, they’re probably gonna need some wounds bandaged anyway. Let’s go over there and see if they’ll take us.”
Jake turns to see the younger genasi nodding even as he rises from his stool, clearly eager to make the acquaintance of the group gathering neer the man who had put out the call for help.

Selinae smiles in a friendly manner at the new arrivals, her face lights up when she see's the halfling....she hadn't been paying attention to the stage before....she is bouncing a little on her heels....
The tavern fills with noise from one of the new bards who has stepped on the stage - for a bit there are eyes watching who will take up the call, until interest is naturally lost among drink, talk, and music. Anders smiles as the people begin to join him at the table, he looks around noting that only two are actually townies. He had figured as much seeing as the rumors tended to keep people away. When it was clear the last willing participant had shown themselves he just nodded“Seems like you are the brave few willing to help put these rumors to sleep. First, let me formally introduce myself to those who don’t know me. I am Anders Solmor, I am a member of the Saltmarsh council and have recently inherited my family’s business due to my mother’s untimely passing. I am looking to help increase the reputation of this town and expand my family’s business, the first order I feel should be getting rid of this awful house that does nothing but keep people away due to these ridiculous stories about it.”
He just pauses as he takes a sip of his wine and bite of the meal in front of him“Now I will pay you each 100 gold as promised and if you do a good job I may have more business for you all.” He adds just keeping his happy smile as he continues to think over his next business“I have already started a tab in my name and will add you all to it for the rest of your time here, if you choose to continue in my employ we will set you up in better arrangements. Now I would like this business dealt with as soon as possible, do you have any questions of me?”
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
While fearless and oft reckless when it came to all things wild and natural, Del's ingrained caution when it came to dealing with strangers and 'civilised' folk surfaced for a moment, especially when this man Anders so casually mentioned the untimely passing of his mother, smiling the whole while... It peaked the young genasi's suspicians. And so Del studied him carefully when he mentioned his business interests, his desire to make the town propser and, in particular, the "ridiculous" nature of whatever plauged this house they were being sent to investigate.
Finally, the green-skinned naturalist asks,'
"You will pay us each one hundred gold pieces AND pay for our stays here in town? And yet you know NOTHING of this house or what goes on there? This seems both generous and somewhat careless. Is there nothing more that you can tell us about these "ridiculous" goings on?"

[Once again, how much gold did Anders drop into Nimb’s hat?]
”None from me to you, though I feel it would be good to introduce ourselves to each other, as it seems we will be working together for at least this task, maybe more. I'll start, I'm Nimb, I am a Bard, trained under the College of Lore, but I can also defend myself with my light crossbow if need be, it is a pleasure meeting all of you, and I look forward to working with you all.” Nimb closes his speech with a toast and a large smile, before listening to the next person to introduce themselves.
Miz looks around and doesn't see anyone else looking ready to speak up so he puts on a smile and says,"Good idea Nimb. We should get to know one another if we'll be working together. My name is Mizzula and I'm a sorcerer. And I look forward to investigating this house with you all."
Trying, but largely failing, to keep a careful eye out for Anders' response, Del turns to the halfling with a smile, replying with a deadpan voice and expression,'
"Greetings, Nimb of the College of Lore. I know not what that is, but of bards I have heard much. I even met a halfling once. A most interesting fellow he was. And a weapon that glows could be very useful, I'm sure. Does it only do so in absolute darkness?
And to you as well, Mizzula. A... sorcerer? Fascinating! My name is Del and I explore the wonders of the natural world. I have also taken it upon myself to defend those wonders where ever possible. Through arms if I must, or other means as needed."

The orc's big words do much to impress her."Oh, same, same, me too. I love unit cohesion and endurance. It's an important part to any adventuring crew, yeah?
"Oh, speaking of, since we are introducing ourselves, my name's Sybella. Gom listens to Sybella politely, and unsuccessfully tries to ward off his confusion by blinking. Apparently the Elf has no personal familiarity with magick, but then openly boasts of being imbued with the arcane power of 'Ess', whatever that is. And why specifically mention its disconnection from the sea? Was this deficiency the cause of her yearning to voyage thereupon? It was unclear whether the 'Ess' spell was a boon or bane, but Gom thought he should at least warn Sybella about ships.

Seeing Sybella being weird about different races again he'll smack her hand if she tries to touch him.
After Selinae asked several questions to Nimb, he looked a tiny bit shocked, before responding: ”Fairfex, no, yes, neither, yes, yes, yes” Nimb said them all in quick succession, with only a split second to think between each word.
Anders smiles as the group begins to introduce themselves looking at Del “If you all indeed show up tomorrow I’ll finish telling you what I know in private.
