When Wilhelm finds Addison he's standing in the middle of his tiny hut spell on the deck taking in the view from the clouds spewing the foreign materials talking out loud to himself "I'm going to have to clean all of this up once this is done..."
Breeze glances over at Luci. She gives a slow nod, affirming that they are on the right course, but still gives a quick remark:
"Breeze... you're dismissed until the end of the shift"her voice pulling off her best Captain's impression. She gives somewhat of a cold shrug. Heading back down below deck. She glances over her shoulder and sees the storm. With a bit of a hiss, and the sound of a vomiting cat, she heads back towards the cook and the mess.
Sweet James would see Breeze once again come back down. Heading over to the table she was originally trying to set before all the yelling and moving and orders ensued. She returns to clanging plates down and making sure there were enough spots. With a bit of a huff, and a grumble of her stomach, she sat on one of the chairs. Eager to finally eat.
quietly she takes a berry and places it in her pocket placing a finger over her lips and giving her a wink "Back up plan, I'm a very picky eater" she regains her composure and leans forward on her chair talking in hush tone her hand clasp together on the desk."Zeng, do you have a last name? why were you launching yourself through space? it's extremely dangerous. presumably you can't afford passage on a civilian vessel but I can't have a stow away on my ship it's simply not allowed i could lose my position. you understand the punishment for trespassing?" she glances of a small window at the sand and ash.
Shaking their head or nodding in agreement at each question, Zeng answers. “Only Zeng for a name, and I jump off the planes to find my hope. Have you seen my hope? Hope is like you." When you mention punishment, Zeng shrinks down, and seems to get smaller in their seat. "Zeng did not mean to stow away. Just wanted to look at the ship and fell asleep."
She turns back to the little zeng "Wait who's Hope? one of your friends? have you alerted the coast guard ?" pausing for a second Aella opens her draw revealing a number of files and papers stacked and bundled together in messy piles she begins to flick through them placing pieces of paper on the desk all of which are written in primordial the files contain the private information of each of the crew ( pick 3 of them at random) until a final " aHA" and pulls out a crumpled sheet from the very bottom and slides it towards zeng then gets out an empty folder and places it next to her "There is a missing person report we generally use them in case one of us goes overboard put down all of your friends missing details in here and we can send back to HQ when we get to the port. And here is a work application since you're nomad the paper work is gonna be messy "she looks back down at the absolute state of her work station "Ok messier than usual" she frowns slightly then mutters under her breath "maybe i can push the bulk of this onto luci "turning back to zeng "but considering your skill set I can hire you as an additional deck hand what do you think?"
thaumaturgy: "DINNER! COME FOR TO BE GETTING IT!!!"
"Ah, welcome Breeze! Thank you for your assistance. I trust you will find the waiting worthwhile. Now, I will be taking the packed meals for those remaining on deck. Please serve the soup in the bowls as they come in - don't spill! Two ladles each should be just right. I'll be back to sere the main course."
With a smile and a wave, Sweet exits the mess, throwing open the door as he leaves, carrying several bundles under his arms. Mort, the Alchemical Homonculus modeled on some hideous combination of lemur, crab, and dragonfly, watches Breeze and the door from the oven, basking in the warmth and making sure no one touches what Sweet has left to rest.
Overhearing what Addison says, Wilhelm approaches and says, matter-of-fact-ly: "I will be happy to lend a hand, if you wish", then smiles and continues: "In fact, I would happily be at your disposal if you feel the need for a chaplain, be it a confession, religious rites, or anything else".
OOC: No, Wilhelm is not aware that he's coming off possibly a little bit creepy.
Turning to meet Wilhelm "Well I appreciate the offer but it wouldn't be smart to do so right now, the debris in the air will do more harm than anything..."
Letting out a small sigh when hearing Wilhelm mention religious rites and confessions "Unfortunately the gods abandoned me years ago and I wouldn't know where to start."
Turning back to the sky "Dinner is ready, might be best to keep inside until this is over."
"I will not attempt to persuade you that your opinion on Gods having abandoned you is wrong" Says Wilhelm softly, and continues "However, I would be more than willing to hear on how or why you feel this is the case. I do not wish to intrude, but it would mean a great deal to listen to your tale".
“Hope isn’t missing, Zeng has lost Hope. Hope will find Zeng, or Zeng will find Hope. Hope promised.” They take the papers anyway and put it in their satchel. Taking the work papers, Zeng says, “No clue how to work a ship, but have spent a lot of time alone falling through Limbo. Very useful in defending stuff! I learn quickly, will do what deck hand does very soon.”
Still gazing into the sky Addison will quietly say "I don't think I've actually done anything to lose their favor but really... How many Gods are there? And how many people are there?" pausing for a few seconds "How can these limited amount of Gods make enough time for an endless amount of people... I'm not special, I mean I've saved a few cats from a few trees but there's always someone better. Why would they care about me?" Taking the time to adjust his fancy leather vest "Maybe that's why I'm here though, I mean you can't spend your whole life saving cats from trees."
"I understand your feelings, my friend, I have often felt like you" Says Wilhelm, nodding. "However, look at it like this. Our captain, she has managed to devote some time to all of us, hasn't she? None of us are particularly special, yet she has time for all of us. And no offense to the Captain, but Gods are infinitely more powerful and caring than her, so they can devote infinitely more time to us. Hence, I am confident, that Gods are looking out for you, and they will make time for you, if you make time for them". Hoping that he can get through to Addison, Wilhelm pulls out a prayer book and hands it to him "This has several great prayers, I have memorized them anyway, so you can have it and go through them at your leisure, or we could pray together and may the great and kind Gods look down upon us and smile".
Flipping through the first few pages "Well maybe one day I'll take you up on that, it's always nice to have something to believe in. I'll give this a read and get it back to you."
OOC: Which God does this book pertain to? Or is it just generic?
Taking a seat in the middle of his tiny hut Addison will begin to read the book until the ash and sand lays off or food gets there. Over his shoulder "You're more then welcome to stay out here but dinner should be ready shortly."
"This is the book of Amaunator, the Sun God, known to some as Lathander, the Morninglord, may he guide you to peace, both inner and external" says Wilhelm. Then, with a smile, he backs out of the room, saying "I will leave you to your readings, then".
A minute after Wilhelm leaves Addison will take a quick look around to see if he's alone then pull a bronze coin featuring a mask punched into both sides of it out of his pocket. Seemingly talking to the coin "I don't know why I lie sometimes... Now I'm actually going to have to read this book in case he asks any questions but at least I think he bought it."
OOC:Addison will spend whatever he has for downtime until the storm stops reading the book/eating when food arrives
Breeze would serve all that came down to dinner. Her own bowl of soup tucked away for safekeeping - making sure that she got some. For the others, she basically followed the chefs instructions. Her, and a tiny mage hand pouring out for people.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Well, as I have been dismissed, I shall be on my merry old way." Alphonse retreats under deck, not especially eager to inhale ash and sand, and gets busy searching for materials and a suitable place to work before working on before coming up with a design for a pistol or (OOC: with the DM's permission) a hand mortar and settling down to work his craft.

The weather outside has become more pleasant. The portal to the Astral Plane is not far now; it can be seen from the crow's nest with a spyglass.
Tinker's Tools: 20
Adding Artisan's intuition: 3
Once the weather changes and Addison has eaten he will begin cleaning the deck.
Alphonse's prototype pistol / mortar ends up pretty, but useless as a weapon. He will have to try again another time.
