Both doors look perfectly normal, and don’t seem to be locked. As you’re checking around you actually notice a shape of another door in the southern wall. It seems to open by way of a masonry block that serves as a lever...
As you press on the lever block, and as you do, a needle extends out of an opening near the lever and stabs you (you take 1 piercing damage). The hidden door slides open as you pull the lever. From where you are, you feel a cold breeze coming out of the hidden chamber. You get a glimpse at what looks like very old human skeletons slumped agains the walls..
Zak jumps a bit when the needle pokes Spotty (he was ready behind him and so it startled him) "oh jeez... ouch!"
Zak takes a peek into the room also to check out the skeletons.
He will then search the 4 dead goblins in the main room and then readies himself quite close to Spotty for the next door that he might try in case something attacks him.
The four goblins have been dead for quite a while, and rats have gnawed at them. The bodies have been looted. There seems to be runes on the wall behind the Goblin that is pinned by the spear, bur the body is hiding most of them.
(I assume nobody actually went into the hidden chamber with the skeletons since the words “peek into”, “peeks through the door” and “peers into” were used)
The masonry walls of this twenty-foot-wide hall are in poor repair. The far end has collapsed, filling the southern section with rubble. The western wall is in much better shape than the other walls, and it holds a stone door with a rearing dragon carved in relief on it. The door has a single keyhole, situated in the rearing dragon's open mouth.
The door is beautifully carved. The door is locked. There is a keyhole in the mouth of the dragon, and by looking at it, you feel like it would be a difficult one to pick, it's some ancient design.
It takes you a little time. It's not an easy lock. After a couple minutes, you start thinking it's not gonna work, and as you are about to give up, you feel the whole mechanism loosen up. The lock is picked.... and yet, the door doesn't budge.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
OOC: Sorry for the delay! Here's a few things Zak wanted to do:
Zak moves the goblins bodies around with his foot in that previous room, and noticing that they've been completely looted he moves to the goblin on the wall. He sees the runes and wants to see more. He will rip the spear out of the wall so the goblin falls down so he can get a look at the runes. "Perhaps Martin might want to see these... let me check them out first."
Investigation for the runes: 16
Zak did NOT go into the small skeleton room, he just peeked into it.
Zak then noticing that he is dilly-dallying with these dead goblins then rushes back into the corridor with the dragon carving on the door to meet back up with the others.
"Wow, what a door. Renny - does that mean anything to you?"
Just then Spotty picks the lock!
"Yep I'm on it!" Zak enthusiastically says as he tries to kick very hard the door open hard.

Gwenant follows a short distance behind Hef, ready to either surge forward or pull back as her allies need.
Overtaken by curiosity, Spotty opens the hidden door.

"Ow! It stabbed my hand!" Spotty whines.
He peers into the room, but it seems to be a dead end. "Nothing in there," he says with a shrug.
Renny peeks through the door, "More dead bodies... this place is so much fun already..."

"Well, let's see what's behind door number two." Spotty opens the southwestern door— more carefully this time.

Spotty is too busy staring at the dragon carving to notice anything else. He approaches the carving to check it out more closely.

"I picked the lock!" Spotty calls out with excitement. "But this door's really heavy... Zak, Hef? Maybe one of you can open it?"
Renny smiles, "Good job, Spotty!" she watches from the other room.

Hef will assist with the door if he can, but it seems like Zak has it well in hand. "Spotty, good to see your skills aren't going to waste here."
Renny walks closer to the dragon door for a better look, "Not sure. I did say this place was built by a dragon cult.. so hey a dragon."

Zak moves the Goblin body out of the way, but doesn't recognize the runes.
