Zak also loosens his grip on his Greatsword and then moves away and joins Gwenant patrolling the other doors to be ready should someone or something to enter this room while we figure things out. He doesn't really look at Meepo in any way in particular.
"A baby Dragon?!? Well I'll be a monkey's Uncle!" Zak proudly says. (he heard someone use this term back in Oakhurst when they were out and about and felt it fit in this situation.)
He then continues to slowly patrol the perimeter of the room while Spotty, Renny and Meepo talk it out. He can barely make out what they are talking about and only is hearing bits and pieces of common when they use it.
The metallic cage is all but destroyed and can't be used to restrain captives. A search of the cage reveals white scales. The firepit, if its ashes are sifted, is found to hold charred bits of bones and armor. The bench seems to serve as a sort of tiny altar. Resting on it are containers of green dye, a paintbrush made of goblin-hair bristles, and four tiny jade figurines of dragons.
Meepo answers in Draconic:
<— Varrynthanyr? Not sure, maybe Queen Yusdrayl knows! Queen Yusdrayl knows all, she is wise! If your clan is nice to my clan, Meepo can take you to Queen Yusdrayl. —>
<I would like to meet Queen Yusdrayl. That's why I came here,> Spotty says to the other kobold. Then to the others, in Common: "Let's be nice to the kobolds, OK guys?" he chuckles.
Hef waits patiently while the book-learned types talk in a strange tongue. He smiles and nods to spotty, "Whatever you say. Should we make introductions?"
Martin nods in agreement as he looks around at his companions. "We should be cautious. There is no knowing what special protocols may be needed in facing this Yusdrayl"

Meepo doesn't notice Zak taking the figurines, he tells you to follow him. He brings you down the west hallway, while shouting out in Draconic <-- TICKLE ME -->
He turns to Renny and Spotty, in Draconic: <-- It's a password we use, to announce that we have guests and that they are friends. -->
He looks to the others, in Common: Friends you being.
You arrive in a large room. A double row of relief-carved marble columns march the length of this long, large hall. The worn carvings depict entwining dragons. You notice a few more Kobolds around with better looking gear, and weapons. A short throne stands near the west wall, constructed of fallen bits of masonry stacked against an old altar. On the top of the altar sit a variety of small items. The portion of the altar that serves as the throne's back features a carving of a rearing dragon. A metallic key is held firmly in the dragon's open jaws. On the throne, you see a female Kobold with an air of authority, dressed in a long white robe, and is wearing some nice jewelry. Beside her are two strong looking Kobolds, that are on alert, and seem to get a little closer, when you approach.
Meepo bows down in front of Yusdrayl, and announces you: <-- Oh my Queen, this clan of strong travelers have offered to help us save our Lord Calcryx. Here is their leader, Spotty -->
Yusdrayl looks at Spotty, a little nonchalantly: <-- Kobold Spotty, are these beings with you, or do they keep you as their pet? -->
Renny looks at Zak with some surprise and shakes her head, whispering, "Those don't belong to us."
She then looks back to Meepo and mostly manages to supress a snicker at the password. Also she looks curiously at Meepo when he refers to Spotty as the leader but lets it pass.

Unfamiliar as she is with Draconic, Gwenant can do little more than smile and nod her way along with the rest of the party. Her smile widens on seeing the throne room, and the throne-altar upon which the kobold queen sits. Now this is a story worth telling, she thinks to herself. For now, she waits patiently, either for someone to say something in a language she understands or to be addressed by Meepo, Yusdrayl, or anyone else in the room.
Zak opens his eyes wide and looks at Renny knowing immediately after she whispered to him that he had made a mistake. He thought she'd like them. He says nothing and rolls his eyes you know the way when you're trying to hide something and then tosses the figurines back onto the table like you'd toss 4 dice (minus the shake). He then remains silent (and embarrassed) as they party enters the great Kobold hall and waits to hear something he can understand.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Spotty sees Meepo bow and does the same, showing his respect for Yusdrayl. However, his eyes narrow a bit as her question hits a long-suppressed sore spot.
<I'm not their leader, nor their pet,> he says. <We're allies. That is all.>
He then switches to Common. "If you can speak Common, we'd very much appreciate that."

Renny can't help a big smile, but it is tempered somewhat, "A gold dragon.. baby. Hmm."
<Meepo, does the name Varrynthanyr mean anything to you?>

Zak and Gwenant patrolling around the room:

Zak catches some common that Spotty says after he's done speaking what Zak feels is gibberish.
"Sounds spot on to me!"
Zak smiles as he tries to make a joke. He's having too much fun with learning how to be social.
Hef waits patiently while the book-learned types talk in a strange tongue. He smiles and nods to spotty, "Whatever you say. Should we make introductions?"
"Nah," says Spotty, shaking his head. "Save that for the Queen."
Yous following Meepo for to Queen?
Meepo asks in a broken Common. He gets up and, excited at the idea that somebody will help, he forgets his weapons on the ground.

Meepo starts laughing as if you had just told him a hilarious joke:
