Eskie adds is somewhat inebriated by the Dwarven whisky at this point, and he just realized that he drank the last of it with his last sip. He is now sitting by the fountain in the other room, looking a little depressed at the flask, while trying to get every last drop he can out of it: Why is ..all the whisky gone?? I only had a few s-hips..
Calcryx is listening intently to the conversation, staying behind Renny for now: Do you really think you can get me through unnoticed ?
Martin: The carvings on the sarcophagi are stunning, they seem to represent high ranking dragon cultists from a time long gone rather than any kind of nobility. You can sense that there is some foul magic coming from within.
Zak walks out of the coffin room with Eskie and sits with him on the fountain. "Oh sorry about that... I guess my sips are bigger than yours!"
Then looks over at Spotty, Renny and the Dragon while they try and plan a way out for this beast without being seen. He thinks back to when Spotty killed the Kobold so swiftly just a few moments ago and snickers to himself a bit with his current concern for their lives.
He realizes he's not helping the situation regardless by just sitting there though, so he stands up and joins the others.
"Eskie and I would be happy to... distract them if you guys want? Right Eskie?"
"Eskie - you said you were in here as a goblin prisoner yes? And they also had those other Kobolds as prisoners, right?"looks quickly at Spotty and snickers.....then back at Eskie"How about you go down the hall there and tell those two Kobold guards that the goblins are coming right now and that they need to go back in their hideout to get more men... er.. I mean Kobolds. You can act all surprised and tell them that you escaped the goblins and that they are chasing you right now! Then when they leave, you can quickly come back and get us... or leave yourself.. whatever makes you happy."
Looks at the party: " Then once the Kobolds leave, we all get outta here with the Dragon. Would that work huh guys?"
*hiccup*
Persuasion to get Eskie to go do this by himself (hopefully at advantage because he's drunk and we've became friends?!): 2
Gwenant gives the coffins a final suspicious glare before she turns to Martin and says, "Probably best to leave it be for now, if you want we could purge it later."Slowly, she backed out of the room and rejoined the party, just in time to notice the two drunks declare their intentions to distract the guards. On the one hand, she had to admit that those two would probably be quite distracting, but on the other, sending a drunk gnome and half-orc to pester a pair of kobolds seemed... less wise.
Zak's idea to let Eskie claim that goblins were coming didn't make her feel any better, but the thought lingered. She looked them both over. They were stumbling and very obviously drunk, but maybe if the kobolds thought they were wounded they wouldn't question anything.
"Zak," Gwenant began, "that might actually work." She turned to everyone else, a smile forming on her face. "If we cut ourselves up a little bit and make it look like we just escaped a scrap, and if Smokey bangs on the door after we slam it shut, then we can probably fool the kobolds into believing that we're running from a goblin horde. We tell them to run and get the others while we 'hold the line,' then once they're out of the room Zak and I hold can the door shut while everyone makes their escape!"
Martin grabs the potion and places it in his bag before following the others out, shutting the door after everyone else left to ensure nothing could escape for any reason. "So, should we get this dragonling out of here now?"

Gwenant nods with a smile, drawing her new knife from her belt and carefully poking it between the rings of her hauberk, just under her armpit, so that it looks as though she's been stabbed. She swipes a hand over her rat-bitten boot, collecting some of the dried blood and then smearing it on her cheek. Turning to Zak, she says, "I'll lead the way, and I want you right behind me Zak. Everyone else, just make sure you're ready to bolt once we have them locked out."
The gladiatrix begins jogging in place in an attempt to make herself sound out of breath when the moment of truth comes. As she does, she looks around one last time and asks, "Anyone have anything else to add? Because once we start this, we can't stop without the kobolds getting suspicious."
"While you're banging on the door, keep an ear out for the phrase 'fall back to the ravine,' that's your cue to run." She then looks around the room one more time and adds, "Alright everyone, let's put those lungs to good use, yeah? Follow me!" And with a scream of fear she goes sprinting down the hall towards the kobolds. She launches herself into the door leading in, slamming it open and purposefully stumbling forward. Turning to the two kobold guards, she shouts, "Goblins! Goblins are coming! Run and get the others, go!Flee! We'll hold them off!"
Zak is right behind Gwen... comes just barreling into the room with her, yelling as well "Goblins!! GOBLINS!! Save yourself!! They have powerful magic!!!" and tries to look as scared as he can with the blood on his face and whatnot.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Just to be clear, which door are you shutting?)
Map reminder (not updated with characters locations, Gwenant and Zak around EF4/5, the rest in hallway EF6-10):
Kobolds are startled by your arrival and almost drop their weapons! To the mention of goblins and the command word “Flee” (WIS save: 0)... they run back down towards the Kobold territory screaming something in Draconic!
Martin follows at a run, not having done anything to make it look like he was injured but with crossbow ready to silence any that may not be taken in by the deception. A deep frown furrows his brow as he runs looking very very angry if nothing else while calling out a battle cry in dwarven, "Kavir oz da enemies." (death to the enemies)

Renny waves her hands, "I didn't mean go do that! That's dumb. We should stick together. Maybe.. .maybe they'll just get intimidated and back off...."

When asked if he can keep Calcryx unnoticed, Spotty says "No, but there are only 2 kobolds up ahead. We can just barrel through them."
Renny nods, "Spotty isn't wrong. But I'd feel better if we just did it as a group rather than risking Spotty doing it alone."

Eskie to Zak: That’s okay Big Guy, I drank a lot too -hiccup- but yeah let’s distract some Kobolds !

Spotty nods. "That idea might work... I guess it's worth a try anyway."
"Well then yes!! Let's do it!!"
Zak proceeds to lean slightly on his Greatsword, cutting his face a bit (just surface wounds).
He looks around to the others with his bleeding face, ready to start running.
"Ok!!! Who's going first?!" with a Jack Torrance from 'The Shining' type of look. You know the one.

Renny moves a hand across herself, adding some look of dirt and whatever else on her face and clothes (prestidigitation). "I'm ready"

Spotty readies his shortbow... just in case.
"Let's do it."
Eskie looks down at his ragged and dirty clothes, let’s out a hiccup, and says: Looks like I’m dressed the part! Following your lead!
Calcryx adds: So what’s my cue?

*Sorry, Zak would've slammed the door shut behind him once he entered the room, following the plan.*
