Crudely executed symbols and glyphs, scribed in bright green dye, decorate this large and irregularly shaped crumbling chamber. A large pit in the center shows evidence of a recent fire. A metallic cage in the middle of the southern wall contains a gaping hole and stands empty. A small wooden bench draped with green cloth is next to the cage, and several small objects rest on it. A bedroll lies near the wooden bench on the western wall, and the sound of whimpering comes from inside it.
Hef taps Zak on the shoulder with his elbow, keeping both hands on his glaive. He gestures to the bedroll on the far wall with his chin, then implies that Zak go north around the table while he go south and they investigate together.
Martin follows behind thinking deeply on the name and all that they had seen so far. This was all so different than anything he had experienced up to this point in the temple. Why would anyone worship a dragon, they were just creatures, not divinity like Lathander. He tries to take in everything to be able to study and consider later but remains fairly quiet as they continue their journey deeper into the complex.

Zak does exactly what Hef suggests. North around the table and then to the bedroll. Zak will then use his Greatsword to hook on to the blankets/bedroll it and then fling the bedroll blanket away to see what's under there.
Gwenant's gaze locks onto the bedroll as soon as she enters the room, but when she sees Zak approaching it, she lets both him and Hef take the lead. Though she constantly looks back towards the bedroll, she decides to wordlessly investigate the hole in the cage, never dropping her guard.
Hef matches pace with Zak, approaching the foot of the bedroll as Zak closes on the head. He keeps his glaive ready to attack but waves Martin forward in case whoever is inside needs healing.
Under the blanket, you find a small kobold with grayish skin, he looks pretty weak and slim. He seems unarmed, but a dagger and a sling are lying around by the bedroll. It looks like he is crying.. He looks up at you and sees that he is surrounded by a party of six, he puts his back to the wall, and his hands in front of his face, and says in a somewhat broken Common:
"A kobold! So there are kobolds here!"Spotty claps his hands, then says in Draconic: <Hello Meepo! My name is Spotty! What—>He pauses. He doesn't know the Draconic phrase for 'what's wrong'. But at least this kobold knows some Common. "What's wrong?"
Hef relaxes his grip on his polearm, letting Spotty do the talking with the scared kobold. He make sit clear to Meepo that he doesn't mean harm, with an hand uplifted in peace. He even takes a step back.

Gwenant looks up from the cage when she hears Spotty's declaration. "There's a dragon? Here?" The half-elven gladiatrix has a look of shock on her face. This... this could get interesting, she thinks to herself, looking back over the cage with a hole in it. Suddenly, an idea occurs to her and she asks, "Was the baby drake kept in this cage? Or was it something else?" With the mention of goblins and baby dragons fresh on her mind, Gwenant will start patrolling to each of the exits to the current chamber, taking a moment to listen for anything that could be on its way while Spotty, and Renny, she noted with some amusement, spoke with the little kobold.

Renny looks around the bigger ones ahead of her, or tries, "Is someone in there?"

Renny steps in and approaches the table cautiously to look it over, keeping ears open for an indication of threat as the others check out the bedroll.

Spotty is curious, but keeps his distance for now.

<— Oh you are like us! Where is your clan? —>
he says in Draconic, then adds in Common:
We losed the baby Calcryx...
Then whispers half to himself in Draconic again..

Renny walks up to stand next to Spotty, <A baby dragon? What kind?> she says in Draconic, quite well actually.
"No boom today. Boom tomorrow. There's always a boom tomorrow"
"No power in the 'verse can stop me"
Spotty nods and relays this information to the others. "They had a dragon... a baby dragon. But the goblins took it."

<— A beautiful golden baby dragon! We found the egg here a few years back and took it as a sign that this is where the clan will live a worship it! —>
He seems very excited that you speak his mother tongue, but looks at the others standing there, adding in Common:
Clan of Spotty, friends Meepo can?
To Gwenant, pointing at the cage:
That Calcryx yes home
