Zak decides he better let the more leader-ish types speak with the little Gnome, as he kind of eyes Renny back in a super awkward weird way, pretending to understand what the glowering look actually even meant, and then trying to replicate it back at her.
Finally free of distractions (for now), Spotty approaches the dragon. <Nice to meet you,> he says. Surprisingly casual for a kobold. <I've never met a metallic dragon before.>
Gwenant takes another horrified look into the cell. "Two months? How are you still sane?"At the mention of the kobolds, she adds, "Well... do we need to do anything about the other kobolds? If they just want to stay in the cell and out of our way, isn't that just to our benefit?"
"SHUT UP, ZAK!"Spotty bellows as the half-orc gets on his last nerve. "Holy HELLS, shut up! Why do you wanna kill them!? What, just 'cause they're kobolds? Need I remind you that I'm a kobold too?" He then lowers his voice to an intense whisper: "I only killed Meepo because he was gonna tell the other kobolds that the dragon is here- and that we refused to help recapture it. And while I'm sure you think the result of that would be a damn jolly time, I'M NOT INCLINED TO AGREE!"
Zak lowers his head. He realizes that the joke (only a joke in his mind) is over given Spotty's tone.
"...ok, ok... I just thought it was funny that you killed Meepo with him being a Kobold and all. Heck I couldn't even really understand what was going on given all of the Dragon-speak. But for real - what if these other Kobolds decide to go tell the others too? Who knows why they are even here..."
"Maybe the Dragon over there is hungry? That would be a solution, right?" Said in the most serious way, no laughing.
One of the Kobolds stands up and head to the door cautiously, answering back to Spotty:
<— Yusdrayl, she is our mother, she is our queen. —>
Eskie is now looking through the Goblins’ stuff, seemingly comparing the scimitars, pocketing what might be a few coins, he grabs a small wooden shield from a Goblin... then drops it when he realizes it’s pretty burnt up and might not be of much use. While going through one of the Goblin’s pockets, he finds a key and holds it up for everyone to see and exclaims: Ha! here it is! I'll keep this close in case I ever end up in that cage again and don’t have a handy rogue around! He winks at Spotty.
Gwenant sheepishly looks at the ceiling and says, "No... unless someone knows how to disguise a dragon as... something that isn't a dragon, there's no way we can leave without either talking or fighting our way through Yusdrayl's territory." She looks at Renny and adds, "Any ideas on that front? I don't think the kobolds will just let us walk away with an entire dragon, so if we want to get the little drake out of here, we need a plan."
Finally free of distractions (for now), Spotty approaches the dragon. <Nice to meet you,> he says. Surprisingly casual for a kobold. <I've never met a metallic dragon before.>
<— Greetings little Kobold-that-is-different! ... To be fair, I have never met one either —>
She looks back to Calcryx, <- the problem now is we either have to talk our way out past the kobolds.. or fight.. ->
<— That does sound like a tricky situation... I do know they value me a lot... but too much to offer me my freedom... I do not like the idea of killing them either... tricky situation indeed —>
Renny offers a quick translation summary of what Calcryx said to her before following up with, "But... we don't have to kill them right? Even if we end up fighting?"

"No boom today. Boom tomorrow. There's always a boom tomorrow" "No power in the 'verse can stop me"
Gwenant winces. "Yeah, you'd have to ask Calcryx about that, Spotty, I've never even seen a dragon before today..." Of course, she isn't about to complain if the wyrmling can actually shapeshift, but she isn't sure she's willing to get her hopes up in the meantime. Likely as not...
"Renny, if a fight breaks out we can try to avoid killing the kobolds, scare them off maybe, but I have a feeling that the stakes are a bit high for their liking. We may end up holding back, but if they think they'll lose Smokestack here," Gwenant points at Calcryx, "I don't think they'll offer the same courtesy to us. It would be nice if we didn't have to hurt anyone, and frankly I think diplomacy is our best bet as is, but if things fall through it could get ugly quickly. If someone takes another hit I won't be able to patch them up, and as is I'm not at my best." She kneels down with a groan and pokes at her new collection of rat bites. Most of them had been closed by magic or had otherwise stopped bleeding by now, but they were still tender. She glances up at the sorceress with a wry smile and adds, "Maybe we could try to convince them that you're a dragon in human form. Know any good parlor tricks? Something like that wave of fire you cooked the goblins with, perhaps?"
Zak looks around, a bit frantically, at the conversation going on. He is confused as to why everyone seems to be so turned off at the idea of killing the Kobolds (well everyone except Spotty), but then again he did just kill one awhile ago and so all of this has Zak's mind reeling. In his mind, killing the Kobolds seemed/seems like the right thing to do.
He was going to keep quiet through all of this (he actually was scared a bit when Spotty yelled at him, and thought he was going to suffer the same fate as Meepo and so decided to just stay quiet) - but he just couldn't keep it in.
"Guys! Look at how the other one (Meepo) reacted when we told him we were doing to take the dragon away. There's no way we are going to trick our way out of this place with this Dragon and the Kobolds being ok with it. And there are only 3 of them in here right now... and they are tied up. AND... we have a dragon. That is on our side. And probably hungry... Ha Ha Ha!! Ha ha a a.. cough cough cough... sorry about that. But yeah..."
Renny laughs a bit nervously, "Me? Pretend to be a dragon?" she shakes her head quickly. She does translate the suggestion quickly to Calcryx in a tone that would suggest the idea is unbelievable.
"I can do the big fire thing once more maybe but outside that it's just little fire bolts or controlling existing fire."

Zak grunts when Spotty walks past him and starts talking in Draconian.
"Spotty - what about those other Kobolds?!" then snickers, then immediately reigns it in and straightens his face holding in the snickering once more.
Gwenant takes another horrified look into the cell. "Two months? How are you still sane?" At the mention of the kobolds, she adds, "Well... do we need to do anything about the other kobolds? If they just want to stay in the cell and out of our way, isn't that just to our benefit?"
Yeah... it wasn’t a fun time.. I kept myself busy praying to the gods and listening in on conversations..

Renny walks up to Gwenant, "We really shouldn't leave them prisoner."

With the most serious face:
"Yes... I agree with Renny."
Then a BIG Orc smile.
"Kill 'em! Kill 'em!"

Spotty makes another loud noise of discontent, but he knows Zak has a point this time.
<Hey! You three!> he says to the other kobolds. <Are you part of Yusdrayl's clan?>
One of the Kobolds stands up and head to the door cautiously, answering back to Spotty:

Spotty has been frantically moving from place to place, and looks rather tired now.
