Gwenant nods and says, "You can call me Gwenant, Gwenant Geddings. I'll keep an eye out for your kids, or at the very least, their rings." She takes a moment to look outside, and notices the sky beginning to darken. "I'll have to go now, my companions are probably waiting at the Ol' Boar, and we still have much to discuss regarding our expedition to the Citadel. Rest easy, Kerowyn, I will be back. Probably not for several days, but I will be back."
After saying a last few goodbyes, Gwenant will head next door to the Ol' Boar, and look around for her new companions...
Martin turned to the setting sun and in sync with Corkie recited the dusk verse bidding farewell to the sun. After they were completed he let the silence of the eventide hang for a moment before turning back to her. "It is a pleasure to once again speak the holy word with another devoted to the gods. I must thank you for letting me share with you this little while. I am in your debt Corkie."

As he sits down Spotty says, "Let's stay away from that fruit merchant. He seemed sketchy." He then turns to Renny and asks "So... a human with scales? What does that mean?"
Renny looks over to Spotty, "Um. well. Apparently I have some kind of connection to a gold dragon which, as it was explained to me after.. I.. well.. almost burnt down the library.." she's pauses to clear her throat after saying that bit a little quieter, "I guess I have dragon blood? They said it explained what happened but it took them almost a week to tell me."
She holds back her hair and turns so the back of her neck can be seen as well, "A little while later, all of this started to appear." in addition to the strips down the side of her head and neck, on the back of her neck is another patch that comes to a point under the hair line and seems like it spreads wider following the shoulders as it continues down under her shirt.
"It's all over." she makes motions that seems to indicate its all over her upper body at least, "I'm mostly used to it now but.. I guess this whole thing is very rare so right now it's simpler to hide it so I don't have to keep explaining it over and over. You know? What does 'I have dragon blood' even mean?"
(this is in response to Spotty but everyone at the table should be able to see/hear this if they aren't busy with something else)
"Happy indeed, Ma'am!" Zak clumsily says to Renny. He sees Gwenant come in and sends a toothy smile her way. "Nice to see you again, Ma'am!"he says to Gwenant. "Did you find anything of interest at the store?"
He then immediately starts to listen to Spotty and Renny as she starts to show the dragon scales. "Oh..... wow...... Dragon's blood?!? I thought I saw something on you shining earlier outside but I just couldn't make out what it was. I didn't even think there were such things as Dragons.... do... do those scale things on you hurt? Almost burned down a library?"
"...... did you do it with your breath???"
Zak asks in a totally honest and genuine way. He's stunned by all of this. Orcs never told him about Dragons.
Renny looks over to Zak with an entirely neutral face.. right up until he finishes and then she giggles. "I did it with my mind!"
She giggles some more as she takes off her outer travel coat to get more comfortable. The sleeves of her shirt underneath are short enough you can see more of the fine scales on the outside of her arms, tapering off at the elbow.
"Really. I shouldn't be laughing. It was awful. People could have been hurt.. but it was stopped in time. Only burnt a couple stacks of books..." she seems almost sadder about the lost books.
She looks at her arms and runs her fingers over the scales, "They don't hurt. Weirdly they feel good.. I guess? Also it's kind of pretty isn't it? All yellow goldish and metallic looking."
And all of this entirely missing the idea that Zak has no concept of dragons!
"Likewise, Zak, likewise! I picked up a few essentials, figured some extra rations and climbing spikes could be handy. And I learned a little more about the youngsters who went exploring." Gwenant settles in, and a becomes very quickly enamored with what parts of Renny's story she was there to hear. "Dragon's blood... sounds like something out of the old stories, where the great dragons would shapeshift into mortal form to provide guidance to wayward heroes. I think it bodes well for us, not that I'm any sort of soothsayer!"
Renny looks at Gwenant with interest, "I tried to find books on gold dragons. They're mentioned a lot but I didn't find a lot of details.. at least not in the books I had access to. As far as I know I've never met one, even disguised. Not that I'd know I suppose."
"Something happened to me and.. now there's fire.. inside. And sometimes it really wants out."

"No boom today. Boom tomorrow. There's always a boom tomorrow" "No power in the 'verse can stop me"
"Gwenant, you'll have to tell me some of these dragon stories you speak of sometime."
Turns back over to Renny:
"With your mind??"
Zak seems confused but assumes its magic related.
"Yes pretty indeed. Could... could I touch them?"
Again not in a creepy way whatsoever... he has a genuine interest like a kid who's seen something very very interesting for the first time. Although if Renny perceives it as creepy that would totally make sense seeing a half-orc is asking to touch her scales. ha ha
Gwenant shrugs. "I wouldn't know anything about the books, never had the money to buy them or the time to read them, but I've heard my share of traveler's tales. They're light on detail too, but if you're lucky you can usually pick out a few things." She gives Renny a relaxed smile. "As for the fire inside, I wouldn't worry too much. If you've always had the dragon's blood, it stands to reason that whatever comes of it is whatever was always meant to be. You're here now with a fire in your belly, and with the Sunless Citadel on the horizon... there's probably no books to burn in that old ruin, and rest assured I don't plan to stand in your way if you start breathing sparks at whatever we find down there!"
Gwenant takes a moment to stretch, then turns to Zak and says, "Sure, I'll share what dragon stories I can remember. Well, the more interesting ones anyway."
Three somewhat young barmaids comes towards your table, one of them is carrying six big ale tankards, the other have plates of delicious smelling food. You can smell the sweet aroma of honey mixed in with the smokey scent of wood fire roasted meat... and the onion soup, smells pretty ordinary, but it tastes of good quality.
Some people in the inn are starting to make their way out, mostly some travelers and merchants that make their way to their rooms (you’re guessing they will be back on the road in the morning, and some merchants might want to get an early start selling their merchandise). Still quite a few people left, mostly farmers and townsfolk of all sorts (the culture in Oakhurst seems somewhat mixed: while humans are still a majority, there are a few elves, half-elves, halflings and dwarves around).
Zak touches Renny's skin. "Neat! Well hopefully we can find out more about this. Do me a favor and let me know ahead of time if you get mad so I can escape before you burn everything to the ground." Zak laughs to himself and then quickly stops as he realizes his poor attempt at a joke might've been in bad taste. He's still getting used to this socializing thing.
"I would love to hear them!" Zak says to Gwenant as she perhaps tells him one or two right at the table.
Zak with no manners whatsoever due to a lack of understanding of them, reaches out and grabs the first tankard of Ale and plate of food and starts devouring it while he listens to Gwenant tell a dragon story or two. "Mmmmmmm!"
"Well, that's something I've not seen on the road. I hope they've not caused you trouble..." Hef loses his train of thought as the food arrives. He has only slightly more decorum than Zak, and can't help but laugh good-naturedly at the half-orc's enthusiasm.
Leaving Corkie at the shrine Martin heads to the inn and seeing his earlier companions sitting at the table comes over and joins them at the table. "This food looks good, be there any for me as well?"

One of the barmaids notices the Dwarf come in and sit down with his comrades. After confirming with Garon, she beings over one more mug of ale and a plate of ribs.
The place is a little quieter and you can hear the bard’s music a little better now. His next ballad might interest some of you:
Listen ye now for I'm calling you down,
To hear the great tale of a dragon renown!
His strength without question, his skin hard as steel.
His beauty and grace would make any lord kneel.
Prepare yourselves men, for you are not ready,
Your hearts will betray you as they grow unsteady.
Remember his name, this unmatched beast of fury,
May it inspire you when fights go awry.
Long ago, there once was a blooming field
Oh the flowers of beauty that it would yield
In all weather including storms of snow and rain
On this day, it’s just called the Ashen Plain!
What happened to the blooms, you say,
Why, burnt down to dust it did one day,
By the mighty gold dragon named Varrynthanyr,
Who lived in a place, not too far from here!
Dragon worshipers devoted to this fearsome one,
Built a fortress that gleamed and shun in the sun,
His home was once called the Golden Citadel,
It now has sunken in the earth down to the deepest hell!
Gwenant nods and says, "You can call me Gwenant, Gwenant Geddings. I'll keep an eye out for your kids, or at the very least, their rings." Gwenant sees Renny waving and heads towards the others with a smile. "Looks like I was one of the last ones here! Did I miss anything important?"
She grabs the nearest open seat, having no preference for company seeing as everyone is gathered at the same table.

Spotty gives a thoughtful 'hmm'. "Well, I think you are who you choose to be... maybe you can breathe fire now, but you're still you."
Renny smirks a bit, "I can't breathe fire. It's magic."
She looks at Zak for a minute, considering.. "Alright.." she hold out her arm.
