Rol squints forward trying to make out what is going on. "Well, besides those ruffians and Kobolds, all I see is a scraggly dwarf standing in front of the keep. I say we keep making our way forward post-haste. This situation definitely isn't improving....."
Scyllawinces from his wounds but nods his head in agreement with Kalmar."Yes,"he says between breaths, "I feel our best chances are to make a break for it."
You all rush out from between the houses, now less than 100 feet away. The swarm of townsfolk is sporadic but chaotic, and around you you can count four cultist raiders and six kobolds, one of them large with wings. Luckily, they don't given any of you any more heed than to any other individual. As you dark out into the final clearing the large blue dragon swoops overhead in a drive-by, roaring with such concussive force and terrifying furiosity that you feel a quake deep within your chest and your very soul.
I would like everyone to make a wisdom saving throw, and roll initiative. Map coming soon.

A deep, horrible chill settles in to the three of your spines. As the large blue dragon completes its flyover, you find yourself frozen in fear, unable to move forward towards the keep and the draconic monstrosity flying over it. Fortunately, the dragon is flying fully overhead, and its current trajectory seems like it will carry the beast over your heads and behind you, so that you might press onward despite your fear.
Everyone is now frightened, and unable to move toward the blue dragon, which at this moment lies ahead of you. You may all make a wisdom saving throw at the end of each of your turns to end this.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Kalmar, your arm is true but your hand shakes, and as it tremors you release your javelin to no avail.
The scene ahead is bedlam and chaos. Townsfolk swarms around, at least half a dozen more than your already sizable retinue. Is that Cuth and his kids over there? Several of the kobolds focus on attacking townsfolk, one with a sling and three with daggers. Two of the cultists are standing alert in the clearing, shouting out vague orders in draconic. The winged kobold, one other legged kobold, and two of the raiders peel off in your direction. Only the winged one makes it. He drops a rock at Kalmar.
Kobold 1 attack (on townsfolk): Attack: 7 Damage: 6
Kobold 2 attack (on townsfolk): Attack: 16 Damage: 6
Kobold 3 attack (on townsfolk): Attack: 14 Damage: 6
Kobold 4 attack (sling, on townsfolk): Attack: 8 Damage: 4
Winged Kobold attack (on Kalmar): Attack: 20 Damage: 9

The kobolds' barrage of assaults is fearsome. Three townsfolk go down immediately with shrieks and spurts of blood, one of which with a completely severed trachea. The fourth kobold hurls a stone, downing a fourth. The winged kobold swoops overhead, and a stone drops with a crack on Kalmar's head.
Scylla and Rol are up.

Scylla takes a few steps away from the people and Kalmar for defensive reasons. Taking his javelin he aims at Flying Kobold and takes aim and throws his javelin as smoke steams out of his nostrils.
Rol looks around, darting back and forth form the Kobolds to the cultists. Seeing the numbers in front of him and Kalmar lying on the ground, Rol unleashes a Magic Missile and yells out "Well, here goes nothing!".
Rol targets all of the missiles at the winged kobold attacking Kalmar (unless of course he dies, then the nearest Kobold). 12.

Scylla, your javelin sails juuust over the kobold's head as it flies toward you, turning to see your human ally crumple to the ground sporting a nasty bloody bump on his head. The winged kobold turns his head down from above, grinning at you through the darkness. Its grin suddenly turns to pain as three arcane missiles dart through the air and --POW POW POW-- into its side. Its wings fold and it begins to fall, dead, out of the sky.

The dragon completes its flyover, leaving you all still afraid but now able to press forward and unable to retreat. Most of the kobolds focus on attacking townsfolk, all of whom are sprinting headlong for the keep. You see Cuth and his children make it in, but two cultists shout orders, pointing the remaining four kobolds toward the villagers.
