As the party descends down the spiral staircase, Castellan Escobert the Red sticks his head around the corner, a surprised beam on his face at the song. "Her sweet ample bosom a perfect headrest, and I'll lay my face 'pon her pillowy breast! HaHA!! A hearty tune, remember me paw beltin' it! So, what's the plan?"
Nonna, please make a sleight of hand check as Governor squawks disgruntledly and tries to escape.
Ah ha! A connoisseur of the finer things I see! The plan? A valiant adventure. A daring rescue. You know, the usual. We’ll go through the tunnels and rescue those unfortunate souls barricaded in the church.
"Alright then, I'm more'n happy teh hold down the fort!"The shield dwarf leads you around a passageway and down another spiral staircase into a large cellar. Leading you to a trap door in the corner, Escobert continues. "We've not had the keys teh this for awhile, but if yeh clear it out it'd be a great help." He opens the trapdoor.
So, to recap, the party has decided to combine the rescue mission to the town sanctuary with the task of clearing out the tunnel beneath the keep. Peering into the tunnel, you see that it is roughly large enough to let you pass single file. Let me know any notes, comments, or flavor before we proceed if you'd like, and otherwise let me get a marching order!

Scyllaleans on his longsword as he peers down the trapdoor and shakes his head. "It's best that I stay in the middle since my eyes are sharp, I can barely see in the dark."He then pulls out a torch from his bag. "We could use this, but it may take away the element of surprise if we plan to have one."
Daigren smiles a small predatory smile as he rests a hand on the hilt of one of his many blades. I’m happy to scout ahead a bit, I’m quiet and quite adept slitting throats. His face takes on an exceedingly innocent expression. For noble causes only, of course.
Scylla blows some smoke from his nose and says to Daigren, "if that's the case then let me do the noble thing by allowing you to go first down that tunnel." He then turns to Escobert and says, "can the Governor spare some healing potions for us before we venture forth?"
Rol pipes up from behind the group, "Oh! A dark cavern underneath an old building under siege! What could be more enticing?! This is quite the adventure already.....It's not like we have any better options, with this pillaging et all going on.".
Castellan Escorbert the Red nods, pulling four potions of healing out of a rucksack and handing one to each of you. Nodding to each of you in turn he says, "Best o' luck," and opens the trapdoor, taking a key off a large rung. "This'll open the door in the tunnel,"and a second key, "and this'll open the grate on the other side." Peering in through the trapdoor, you see that the tunnel is narrow but wide enough to allow you to easily pass single file, choked with webs but otherwise clear. A set of stairs descends before leveling out to a chamber with an old steel door.
((For marching order I'm assuming Daigren, Scylla, Rol, Nonna?))

The four of you proceed down into the narrow tunnel single file, dust and cobwebs heavy in the air. It's clear it has not been used in a very long time, and you reflect somberly on the situation that necessitates its current use. Not long into the tunnel, you come across a thick steel door, its lock stiff and rusted.
