Kalmar claps Scylla on the shoulder as the woman begins to stir then covers his relief by trying for a little bluster and brusqueness They’re alive and so are you, now if you want to stay that way we need to get to the keep. Then, with genuine concern Can you walk? He‘ll Help the woman to her feet and take her over to her family Scylla, how do we run this?
Scylla tries to soothe the woman as she comes too. "Don't try to move too much. We thought we lost you there for a moment. I am Scylla, and this is my friend Kalmar and we are here with a group of other individuals who managed to stop the kobolds, though one of the bastards managed to escape. Excuse my language. Your family... I am not sure. I think I saw your husband and three children escape and head towards the keep. What is your name? And these insignias that you wear, what do they mean?"
Scylla helps Kalmar with the woman and to his question answers, "I think we should have some of the group take the woman towards the keep using the fastest route while another group splits off and take the longer route. But what are your thoughts? And I would like to know the thoughts of the others as well."

Gene, follows the masked bandit upstairs. With the bandit distracted searching a closet, Gene walks up behind him and in one smooth motion, almost casually, plunges a knife into the base of the bandits neck angled towards his heart.
"I am Linan Swift. My husband is Cuth, my children are Linus Merick and Rialle, please..." the woman sputters and trails off for a moment. "These are just family keepsakes, they were my grandmother's. I heard the raid..."
Gene:
Your dagger smoothly enters the raider's neck, and he goes down with a gurgling sputter.
Perception: 8
You hear no reaction from the other raider downstairs.
Walking up to the woman and his party members, Rol fumbles for words, unaccustomed to the gravity of this woman's suffering and emotional anguish. He attempts to say a few different things, but can't quite bring the words to bear. With he a deep breath he finally says aloud, "It's probably not safe here, no? Maybe we attempt to bring her to safety with us in the keep?" Rol scratches his head and mumbles to himself "That scream, I shan't forget that....".
Scylla takes the woman by the arm and she starts to settle. "Let's get a move on and make sure you get to give those keepsakes to your children when the time is right for you."Scyllastarts to make hisway when he stops. "What path, Linan, do you think is the wisest for us to take to get to the keep?" He then looks around the field and asks aloud to his companions, "has anyone seen Gene?"

Kalmar will check the bodies of the two other dead kolbolds investigation 2 for weapons or anything else interesting at the very least grabbing the daggers out of their hands and sticking them in his belt.
Embarrased by his inaccuracy in battle Orochi stands quietly a short distance from the others entranced by his own thoughts and unaffected by the scene in front of him. Suddenly he looks up and says to the group “I too am curious where Gene has gotten off to. I shall scout ahead. Our companion may be in danger. Would anyone care to join me?
Scout ahead into Greenest? Do you think he went in already? Kalmar grits his teeth in frustration then takes a breath. We need to get these people to the Keep. then as though the following is the real reason he wants to go to the Keep. Besides, that’s where we’ll find out what the hell is going on and who’s going to pay us for rescuing this burg. As for Gene, I’ve got no patience for people making themselves scarce when the fighting starts, but he’s a big boy and you’re a big... snake person, so do what you like, but I’m heading to the Keep. If anyone cares to join this ship is sailing now.
Nonna, who had up until now been absent-mindedly poking the kobold with her trident in it watching it twitch around as random nerves fired, looks up as if she wakes up from a daze. I'm with you so far, I want to check back in on those kids and her husband. I say we take the indirect route so we don't get any more unwanted attention from that dragon.
Linan groans. "I want to follow my family, my husband was hurt they can't have gone far south. I don't want to take the main road, not now..." she coughs, looking wonderously up at the dragonborn standing over her. "Who...? What..? ahem Thank you." She looks profoundly flustered. "I wasn't sure your kind had any kindness after tonight."
Scylla, please add Inspiration: Not On My Watch to your character sheet.
Kalmar and Nonna, you rally behind your shared desire to help the family and/or get to Greenest's keep as Kalmar speaks with Linan and Scylla and Nonna completes her impromptu kobold anatomy 101 field study. The group strike upon a consensus to take the more roundabout path, sneaking south of the way of Greenest's main road. Orochi, you seem to recall Gene heading south during the fight, though you doubt he made in into the town as far west into the town as the road you're current on before splitting off.
How would you like to proceed, marching order, any other notes etc. Based on people's responses I'm figuring a 2x2 of Kalmar & Nonna followed by Scylla & Rol escorting Linen, with Orochi scouting and Dunglob holding up the rear?
Gene:
You distinctly hear the sounds of the second raider rummaging around the first floor, and it doesn't sound like he heard anything of the sordid affair upstairs. On the first raider, you find the aforementioned mask, a dagger of relatively skilled make, and a mostly empty sack that nevertheless carries a meager amount of baubles and trinkets.

Kalmar can move up in the party order a bit. He’s in scale mail but he can try to be stealthy. A little bit behind Orochi if Orochi is taking point or take point himself if Orochi is worried about running into hostiles.
Scylla looks down at Linan and says, "My people have an inherited dislike towards most dragons. Like elves towards orcs. Now, let's take this discreet route and make sure to get you back with your husband!"
Scylla makes sure Linan is positioned safely among his companions as they set off towards the indirect route to the keep. He then quickly catches up to Rol and gives him a nod. "The woman should be well protected," he says then unsheathes his long sword and raises it towards the direction they head, "let's keep our eyes peeled, for I fear the enemy is all around us"

Gene:
That'd definitely be a grapple but that's a fun opportunity for some DM flexibility; I'll use that slight of hand roll for the initial grapple. Google says a blood choke is fatal in ~15-20 seconds which is about 3 rounds.
Round 1: 18
The raider sputters in surprise as the wire wraps around his neck. He begins to struggle wildly.
Lemme get a straight strength or dexterity check.
I'm also gonna hand wave that you're in a slightly different building if that's ok.
Everyone else:
The party ventures forth into the town of Greenest, Orochi and Kalmar in the lead, Nonna and Rol not far behind. It isn't long into your venture that your attention is focused again on another scene of the raid. It seems there is a small retinue of kobolds accompanied by a smooth looking lizard staking out a house back slightly to the southeast. Nearby, you see a group of townsfolk huddling in the shadows, conversing with dark looks and shooting glances at the house and the kobolds. You see a large man and a lithe woman accompanied by two girls, all dark of skin and hair, as well as a pair of able-bodied men with matching tan skin and sandy hair each with a pitchfork. Suddenly, you hear a muffled choking cry from inside the house they seem to be observing.
Scylla comes to the front towards Orochiand Kalmar and looks at the scene. "Should we intervene or wait to see what happens? Maybe try to send someone to sneak towards the house?"He then goes back to Linan and asks her, "what do you know of that house over there?"he asks pointing at the house that has the attention of the kobolds and humans.

A: Gene sneaks down stairs up behind the second bandit and attempts to strangle him into unconsciousness.
Stealth: 22
Sleight: 25
B: Gene drags the body of the dead raider and pushes it down the stairs readying his bow for an ambush.
