((Yes, you do know about the winch. However you know about it because it's the same gate you were brought in through.))
"Eh, his loss." Jimjar flips his coin up in the air and snatches it before it completes its arc. Without missing a beat he turns to Lucina and grins. "Five gold says he dies." As Cobalt moves along the next rope bridge it becomes clear that this one was meant to ascend to the largest spire in the outpost. The work details never brought you into this spire for whatever reason, but you have been brought alongside it. You do know that the top level contains a shrine to Lolth and that it is usually tended to by a drow priestess.
However, your crossing of the bridge is not easy. As you are carefully making your way across - trying to avoid notice by the demons overhead and the drow engaging them - one of those demons starts careening towards you. Or more accurately - the bridge. A Vrock slams into the bridge ten feet in front of you with a nice, meaty slap. The impact breaks a few of the wooden planks which drop down into the pools below. You see multiple crossbow bolts in the demons hide - but perhaps more amazingly this demon gets up, freeing itself from the bridge. It does not seem to have noticed you... yet.
Everyone
The bridge is covered in darkness. Those with Darkvision can see SOMETHING land in front of Cobalt. But those without are unable to see this occur. Perception checks above 13 reveal this to be a Vrock.
"Oh no no. I think if it came down to it I would just let them capture me again." Shuushar says with that same peaceful smile. "If my accompanying you while you fight is troubling, I can always stay behind. Though I would prefer to escape. I hear Drow imprisonment is dreadful." The Kuo-toa pats Bezel gently on the shoulder in a reassuring manner, apparently having noticed the Tiefling's mannerisms.
Cobalt's eyes widen at the massive demon that has landed on front of him and he quietly curses in dwarvish. Already low to the ground, he grabs one of the ropes beneath him that stabilise the wooden planks of the bridge. With a swinging movement, he carefully leaps from the edge of the bridge, keeping hold of the rope and planks which are now above him - then begins to monkey-bar his way along the underside of the bridge. He still remains as quiet as possible as he climbs towards his destination and past the deadly Vrock.
Nam sees something hit the bridge but can’t make out what it is. He watches in astonishment as Cobalt jumps over the edge and starts moving on the bottom of the bridge like a monkey “That fool is going to get himself killed” he says to himself.
Bell scoots herself to hide behind Lucina's leg, gripping on whatever fabric she could to be lead whatever the group was going to go. "I can't see in the dark." She admits sadly. Unfortunately, she needed some components to be able to cast a spell to help her see, and although she was very perceptive, it was mostly useless. At most, she could at least hear, and what she heard didn't sound pleasant at all. "Please be careful!" She shouts.

Lucina looks down at Bell felling the kenku holding onto her. "That's alright, you can rely on those of us who can see to help you." She assures rather quietly before looking towards the creature once again. Still braced to shoot if any hostile action is made.
((Apparently, Cobalt need regret nothing because that's a Nat 20, yeah a move like that would have required a check))
Cobalt manages to leap off the bridge and time it spectacularly - either through sheer luck or ingenious timing - that the natural sway of the bridge masked his jump. With great, nimble athleticism unbefitting of a dwarf he begins to swing alongside the bottom of the bridge - completely masked from the Vrocks view. In short order, he would easily make it to the other side of the bridge where some natural handholds on the spire itself would allow him to easily get back up onto solid land if he so chose to do so.
With a Perception Check of 14 or higher, Cobalt would be able to hear a single solitary voice speaking something aloud in the next room.
((The Vrock rolls a nice 19 on its perception))
The Vrock stiffens suddenly, straightening up to its full height before turning towards the rest of the party. A second earlier and Cobalt would have been spotted in his attempts to avoid the Vrock. Instead, the Vrock takes a few steps - cautiously towards the rest of the party. There's a tense moment as the Vrock stares directly at each of you in turn before flapping its wings and taking up into the air off of the bridge, apparently to go lick its wounds.
A warning bell sounds in the farthest tower. It sounds like the drow are driving the demons back and will soon resume normal patrol patterns.
[OoC]: Cobalt's passive perception is 14, and he also knows Undercommon if that's what they're speaking.
Cobalt edges up to the door and listens intently. He tries to motion for his friends to stay on the opposite side of the bridge for now, but points at the small kenku and gestures to follow. The dwarf has a plan that may be unnecessary, but could prove useful if circumstances require it.

Nervousness encased the Kenku after being told she was being called to go over the bridge. She slowly shuffled over to the start, her feathered claws gripping tightly on the rope to help guide her across. “I gotta be brave, I gotta be brave, I gotta be brave...” Was repeated as she took careful steps, using her sense of touch to assist in crossing. Bell manages to make her way across the bridge without any difficulties, despite her inability to see in darkness. When she joins Cobalt they would both be able to hear the prayers being spoken aloud to Lolth. A single drow priestess kneels in front of the altar, lit by numerous candles with blue flames. Just as Bell arrives she stands up. "I wonder if Jorlan actually let those prisoners go." She says to herself, comforted in the fact that the base is under assault it appears she does not care for any prying eyes or ears. "Would be a foolish thing to do, but anything to get back at Ilvara." There's a hint of malice in her voice as she speaks Ilvara's name aloud. "Just a bit more planning and..." she cuts herself off suddenly and shakes her head. She begins humming to herself, a well-known childrens melody in the underdark as she moves around the altar. She reaches out to something and croons to it, speaking words you cannot hear.
