Nok eyes the books with disinterest, instead internally berating himself for his lack of effectiveness so far. “Nothing worse than bad music,” he quips. “Ruins your whole day.”

Allynna shakes her head, a real grin appearing on her face. "Thank you for the suggestion, but these have actually been modified to stand up in fights. Silk's actually quite good on its own for stopping weapons-nowhere near as good as real armor of course, but I'm not good at these. And these are a gift from my friend at court-specifically enchanted so that they're much better than most at stopping attacks, as long as I take a moment to activate it. Speaking of which..." She murmurs a quick word, and dark red light flows across the fabric, elements of a strange armor appearing over the silken clothes. If you looked closely, you could almost swear you saw tiny Infernal runes glowing faintly on their surfaces.
You forgot the bit where those clothes make a statement.
That only matters for the Nightingale, and right now I'm Allynna.
You all head west down another flight of steps, into two feet of water - again. You pass by an alcove on the left. The back wall of this alcove is hung with a 5-foot-wide, 7-foot-tall tapestry. It depicts a grisly scene of four faceless figures ripping apart a fifth figure, who is screaming.
Further in, three wooden beams brace the ceiling of this flooded chamber, which features a stone altar covered with entrails in the northeast corner. Hanging on the wall above the altar is a three-foot-tall steel mask cast in the form of a frowning human skull. In combination with the water, it truly smells terrible in this altar room. Towards the left in the last small area you see, floating face-down in the middle of this flooded room, a bloated corpse of a shirtless male human with knife wounds in his back.
Nok grimaces, "Ugh, me thought goblins were nasty. It reeks in here." He looks to Jill, "Why not you go check the floater?" He smiles innocently. "Too deep for me..."

"My clothing is much more simple, as you can see." Jill motions to her jacket, which is black and largely unadorned. "But I do not wear it for those purposes. In my travels, I usually prefer to be innocuous. But this jacket does match my hair, so that's nice." Jill leans in to try and get a better look, before realizing that's weird and backing up. Jill advances towards the corpse with her shield up. She cautiously pokes it with her sword.
"This poor soul. May Kelemvor guide you to the next life." Jill grabs on to her holy symbol as she prays over him. "Well I believe that is all, should we return to the captain and claim our pay?"

"Ah yes. Thank you mon amie. This dungeon is rather non-descript and it is easy for me to think that we've been in places we haven't. Allynna glances over the corpse briefly before continuing behind the others. Am I about to get a speech on Myrkul's annoyingness?
Only if you want one, my dear. As irritating, emo, and generally superiorly bookish as he is, I would never force an account of his utterly superior nerdiness on you.
Well, perhaps another time then. Although it is amusing to hear you refer to some of the most dangerous entities in the universe as self-righteous jocks and overly superior nerds. Almost as if you're one of them, my dear fugitive prince. Can I convince you to tell me a little more of your story?
Suddenly Persephone appears, rounding one of the corners of the dungeon ahead. With a sheepish grin, she addresses the crew “Sorry...was just scouting ahead. Looks like I missed a little excitement!” she glumly states, upon noticing the fresh entrails coating the front of Misha’s armor. “The path beyond the alter looks promising.”
ROOM A - This partially collapsed room has three wooden beams bracing its ceiling. Situated between the beams is a scorched wooden table with a human cadaver resting atop it. A frighteningly thin woman in a black robe is studying the corpse, her face largely hidden under a cowl. Around her feet creep a swarm of skeletal rats. She appears to be deep in concentration, as if attempting to transform the corpse into something else.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The Master of Souls, at the very last moment, sees you approach! She sidesteps your attack and commands her rats to attack, tripping over one of the legs of the table! Everyone besides Jill can go since she already went.
