Boh- You notch your arrow in practiced circular movement, draw back and release, exhaling. Your arrow strikes a giant rat in the side, knocking it off its feet and sends it tumbling off the side of the ravine. You turn, element of surprise lost, give a sharp tug on the rope and start to climb. A foothold breaks loose and you dangle helplessly from one hand. Your fingers start slipping when suddenly a jerk sends you reeling skyward...
Anton and group- You've been holding the rope waiting for any sign from below. Focusing on your breathing you try to extend your consciousness to the scene below. When out of the chasm you hear the twang of a bow. The rope jumps in your hands. You start pulling, imagining your legs becoming roots deep in the earth. The rope that is tied to Boh waist holds and in a few heartbeats they climb over the rim of the chasm.

As the rope teigtens around my waist, i draw my two daggers and throw them at the closest rat:
attack 1: 24 for 7 damage and
attack 2: 17 for 2 damage .
befor i help the boys by climbing up.
As i reach the top of the i pull my self over the edge and calmly start to explain:
I am fine. But we got two problems, the first is the darkness down there. Even with my highten senses i could barely see more then 50 feet. And the other is an angry group of rats just below here. We could try to find another entry point but i found stairs down here that would lead us securely deeper into the canyon, so i wouldn‘t like to give it up so fast. But if we let down three people on ropes, only for about 25 feet, those three could shoot down the rats from a safe distance to clear the ledge that is below us. Once cleared we can all safely descent and continue from there.
Obsben and i are the lightes among us, so Scar and Anton should have no problem to secure us individualy. As for Geth, Adalbricht and Cassius: who wants to hang from a rope in the middle of nothing shooting rats and who wants to hold the rope?
Or we could try to climb down all together and try to rush the rats, but i dont know how many are there. I saw a few, more then 2 but less then 10 i would say.
[OOC] With the [Racial Trait]Powerful Build[/Racial Trait] I can carry 510 pounds and Push/Drag/Lift 1020 pounds, so if anyone needs to to be carried down to the bottom I can carry you.
"Is danger coming up the rope or do we need to jump down to kill it?"
"I may have a spell that could both alleviate the darkness and aid the archers with their aim," Geth says. "I am also decent with a crossbow myself. For a mage, anyway. Climbing, though, is a bit of another story. Though it looks to me like we might be able to take some pot shots at them from our comfortable perches up here without getting into the messy business of trying to use a bow while holding onto a rope with only our feet."
"You know, on second thought, maybe it's a waste of energy to use real magic on a bunch of rats that can't fight back," Geth says, reconsidering. Looking at the tiny black owl on his shoulder, he says, "Arianrhod, be a dear won't you and help my friend Boh kill some rats. You know the drill."
Geth pulls out a crossbow and approaches the ledge, taking aim at the nearest rat he can see, while the owl watches Boh, reading his target and then timing a swoop down into the canyon to distract the corresponding rat at the opportune moment (taking the help action to give Boh advantage).
"Well, I have some shuriken (darts), but I'll admit that my skills are best applied up close and personal. I can belay or haul a rope pretty well though."
Anton prepares to lower a volunteer into the rat pit.
A small marble of flame peals through the gloom, momentarily highlighting 3 giant rats pawing at the base of the rope. As the flame washes over one of them, shrieks of alarm echo up to your ears. The injured rat stumbles about until a crossbow bolt sprouts from between its ribs and stills it.
At the approach of a owl the rats break ranks and flee down the stairs.

"Well, I suppose that was to be expected," Geth says as the rats flee. "On the bright side, at least now we have a bit of breathing room to climb down?"
The group of you now stand on the sandy ledge. The still smoldering corpse of the giant rat fills the air with a faintly barbecue smell tinged with moldy carpet. Somewhere below squeaks of terror tell you Geth's Owl still stalks them. Stone stairs wend down the side of the cliff, ending in a small landing before doubling back but ever descending.
As you travel downward, a large stone fortress begins to emerge from the black. Everything about this place seems forgotten. Windows are dark and much stonework is scattered about the floor of the chasm. It is eerily quiet, and a cool breeze blows up from below, ferrying the smell of dust and rot. The stairs empty into a small courtyard. There is crumbled masonry everywhere. Bhuraelea, you notice a 10' square patch of floor that seems eerily devoid of debris.

(What's the lighting like in here. I've got human vision, so if it's dark I'll either light a torch or lantern, or ask if someone can magic up some light.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
I hold up a hand with my dagger, which i have recovered from the rat corpse, when i notice the patch and whisper:
Carefull guys, something seams wrong here...
Makeing sure there is some distance between me and the patch i pick up a pebble and throw it onto the patch, befor i get closser to investigate it further: 18
"That globe we were given could come in handy as it should give those of us that lack an ability to see well down here enough light to go onward." Adalbricht says even as he moves to find a rock and cast the Light Cantrip on it.

Boh- Upon closer examination you notice that section of floor is not mortared to those around it. You recognize it as a pit trap, you hear noise coming from beneath it, sounds like another rat. You also notice a sort of cat walk around the pit that could take you to the door beyond.
Scar- You see Boh crouch and examine the section of floor they gestured to earlier. Just passed that point is a large stone door. Just inside, at the edges of your dark vision, you see several slumped forms on the ground.
Adalbricht- There are ample rocks to supply your choice. You pick one about the size of a strawberry. It begins to glow brightly at your magical coaxing.

"You ok there bud? Thought I heard a bow fire. What did you see?"
Upon hearing the bow, Adalbricht readies himself and begins to make the motions to cast a spell if anything comes out of the hole.

"Is danger coming up the rope or do we need to jump down to kill it?"
The first of your dagger strikes it target with deadly accuracy. The second, much to your chagrin, bounces harmlessly into the dirt.
The ledge is only 50' down and dimly lit, if Adalbricht would like to loose a spell.
