Sanzor tries to end the beast with another ball of fire but finds it hard to aim it as all his allies descend upon the beast. With the combined efforts of Biri, Kosh, and Yuno, the beast cannot escape from the hail of staff blow, stabbings, and the axe head as it ends up in a bloody mess.
Encounter Over - XP Reward 400xp, 80 per character. 2 Dire Wolf Fangs to collect.
Biri gets this really crossed look at the suggestion, but only for a second before huffing. "As over eager as some of us may be, we still need to harvest their fangs and hearts."She says as Irib comes fluttering into view. After a few terse words in draconic thrown at the cowering monkey, she pulls it into a one-armed hug and gives Yuno a speculative look... before looking to Plunge and the rest.
"Unfortunately, I am no outdoorsman. If one of you believe yourselves more skilled, I will defer to you in this task."She fishes out a dragon's talon-like dagger and holds it out. "Though I would suggest working together to see the work down swiftly. While I and Sanzor -- having taking the brunt of that assault -- recuperate." She suggests, though her tone carried a sense of finality to it.
(@Virst: Don't know if the Dire Wolf Heart is a new bounty on the board or not, but if not then--)
(@Team: There's a bounty for Dire Wolf Fangs for 25gp each, and their heart for 50gp.)
Yuno stretches her shoulders and neck, making cracking sounds. She says, "Ah it feels good to finally let loose!"
As Biri mentions the wolf heart, Yuno grins and her eyes light up. She says, "So you mean I don't just get to kill these wolves, I also get rip their heart out too? This is a good day! AHAHAHAH!"
Biri quirks a brow ridge, and leans over to Irib. "Is it just me, or are humans normally so excitable?" She asks loudly enough anyone can overhear. As the monkey shrugs, the dragonborn clears her throat. "Not rip dear young one. But remove. Carefully. Damaged goods do not make for a good bounty after all.... You do wish to be more appropriately compensated for your work? Because I do. So, take another breathe, clear your head, and calm, little human."

Yuno lets out another laugh and says, "Oh I am calm. I live for bloodshed." She looks at the wolf and says, "Eh... I am more about cutting and tearing things apart, not carefully removing stuff. Could be fun to try but maybe get someone else to do it. I'll watch! I wish I had some corn to eat as well but oh well."
"Fine..." Kosh rolls his eyes and moves to the fallen wolves. With two heavy chops he removes the front three inches or so of the wolves' snouts. "Fangs are taken care of... Just the one Heart right? It was a special."
He eyes the wolf, measures his stance and swings the great sword in an arc to split the massive rib cage. "Lets see how it looks inside."
Survival: 21
He reaches a hand into the chest and with a wrenching motion removes the heart, hand covered in steaming gore.
((If Kosh's "Extra" is ever too much for anyone, LMK. I can dial him down. He's supposed to be tongue in cheek.))
Sanzor begins to turn around "Might I suggest..." He trails off as he sees the wolf split open and holds back some vomit. With his voice shaking, he continues "Might I suggest we still take both hearts, in case we can sell both? If it can't be sold, it seems Yuno might like to keep it to play with anyway."
"Indeed." Biri's eyes narrows at Yuno. Seeing Kosh at least move to get to work, she trusts plunge to help there. And if not Plunge, she does so herself without much more than a mild huff of annoyance at the forest man.
"May I?" She asks regardless, holding out a hand to secure the heart in her satchel... after moving some stuff around to avoid the gore, as well as cooling it for transfer. "A most excellent idea, Mr., hmm... Senzu? No, Sanzor, I believe it was. If you don't mind, axeman."Biri positions herself to aid in tear open the next heart as well. "I do wonder how much it would cost for some sort of bag of colding for jobs such as these. At the very least such an item would be a worthwhile investment."
(@Third: Will do, but Kosh' bit hasn't been bad so far.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kosh once again digs into the dark beast with his greatsword. Letting one of the others pry open the cavity while he delves inside. "Yuno, is this a snack for you later if it doesn't sell?"
(In character, Yuno would love to kill more stuff. However, out of character, I think it's best we return and cash in the heart and fangs and maybe buy better gear.)
(For getting to the 2nd level of the forest, you'll go through two more encounter and each one is spaced about 20 minutes between each other. So a 20 minutes stroll and then wolves. But that is specifically for getting into the 2nd level of the forest, three encounters, then you'll be in a very different part of the forest.)
The party heads back, slightly wounded but still victorious. You all leave by following where the trees start to be more sparse and eventually follow the sight of open land and patrols. Then it was just a walk back to Burle to turn in your bounties.
(Caobis(Plunge) has told he that he has to quit the group. So he'll be removed from your party.)
Bounty Reward: 100 gp, 25gp per person.
(You can shop at Saltmarsh for better equipment and it is possible to get magical items as well.)

Sanzor sits down holding his wound. "I have never been good with a blade, so I'll have to defer to someone else."

Sanzor inches further away from Yuno and the wolves and averts his gaze from the bloody spectacle that is sure to ensue.

Yuno says, "What, do I look like I eat raw hearts? I'm a killer, not a savage. If it doesn't sell, I get to play darts with it AHAHAHAHAH!"
(Added Wolf fangs and heart to Kosh's inventory.)
(Would the group like to head back for now and cash in their bounties?)

(Cashing in seems the way to go.)
(Agreed, back to Burle we go. Out of curiosity, how far into the woods did we get? Was it just like a 5 minute stroll and then there were wolves?)
